Cyclum NextGen Travel Centers acquires ZEV TOUR – Clean Fleet Experience to support fleet transitions to alternative fuels
ZEV TOUR was founded by Ollie Danner, who over the last 12 years has produced and assisted in managing over 40 alternative fuel ride-and-drives, conferences and expositions across the U.S. including direct consulting Public and Private Fleets.
'It was very important to connect fleets, OEMs and dealers with solution providers and offer fleets unbiased incentive and regulatory information, along with highlighting the challenges and benefits of alternative fuel technologies,' stated Danner.
These experiential events highlighted alternative fuel technologies including electric, hydrogen, renewable diesel, compressed natural gas (CNG) and renewable natural gas (RNG) vehicles.
Cyclum plans to build four hundred state-of-the-art travel centers nationwide, catering to diverse fueling needs. These centers will offer traditional fuels, along with next-generation zero carbon solutions such as hydrogen and renewable compressed natural gas as well as electric vehicle (EV) charging. Cyclum's travel centers will set a new standard for convenience and comfort on the road with superior fresh food and amenities, boasting a comprehensive modern rest stop experience.
In addition to the acquisition of ZEV TOUR, Danner will act as Director of Alternative Fuel Technology and Marketing. 'I immediately knew that Cyclum's vision matched my own, and now we can engage with fleet managers together to offer significant cost savings on fuel, regardless of the fuel mix. More importantly, we can assist fleets in their transition to cleaner fuels, facilitating significant cost savings. Cyclum has a unique opportunity to provide traditional, transitional and renewable (TTR) fuels to fleets,' Danner said.
Danner has collaborated with multiple EV charging companies such as EVConnect, JuiceBox, ChargePoint, and Noodoe to deploy hundreds of level two (L2) and Direct Current Fast Charging (DCFC) EV chargers. Danner's involvement in EV projects encompassed various California Energy Commission (CEC) corridor grants, which aimed to establish EV infrastructure along the highway 99 and I-5 corridors in California and deploy EV infrastructure for electric school buses for the Los Angeles Union School District. He also brings a wealth of knowledge regarding regulations, incentives and grants. 'Education, outreach and being a connector have always been important pillars to my mission in assisting consumers, public and private fleets,' states Danner.
With his profound understanding of energy requirements for EV infrastructure deployment, solar and battery storage, as well as grid-edge and off-grid energy solutions, Danner can offer fleets and property owners cutting-edge energy solutions, guiding them through their transition to renewable energy and new vehicle technologies.
'Cyclum is excited to bring ZEV TOUR into the Cyclum Renewables LLC family,' stated Brian Profitt, CEO of Cyclum Renewables and Cyclum NextGen Travel Centers. 'Not only bringing ZEV TOUR into our company, but also bringing Ollie on as a Director of Alternative Fuels and Marketing, allows us to utilize Ollie's extensive wealth of knowledge in the alternative fuel space, and his 12 year rolodex of contacts as we build out our infrastructure for growth to assist fleets with their transition alt fuel technologies,' stated Profitt.

Nuvama cuts target price for Mahanagar Gas (MGL) after analyst meet; Here's why

By Markets Desk Published on June 8, 2025, 20:43 IST Nuvama Institutional Equities has cut its target price on Mahanagar Gas Ltd (MGL) to ₹1,224 (from ₹1,305 earlier), while retaining its Reduce rating, citing concerns over deterioration in sourcing mix, potential margin pressure, and policy uncertainties in the City Gas Distribution (CGD) sector. Following its recent analyst interaction with MGL management, Nuvama said that while healthy volume growth momentum is likely to continue in the near term, structural headwinds remain. Volume growth to remain strong MGL's management expects double-digit volume growth to sustain, driven by several initiatives: Ongoing expansion of gas infrastructure — targeting addition of 180 km of steel pipelines and 250 new CNG stations by 2030 Marketing incentives for CNG — where MGL is partly covering the capital cost of vehicle conversion to CNG Offering a 10 percent discount to fuel oil prices for new PNG industrial customers for three years CNG price competitiveness — with CNG currently 47 percent cheaper than petrol and 12 percent cheaper than diesel, leaving headroom to cut prices if needed Gradual pickup in LNG fuelling for long-haul trucks, as capital costs decline over time. In addition, MGL sees further potential upside from: The merger of fast-growing UEPL Greater utilisation of exclusive CNG fuelling infrastructure for BEST buses Possible regulatory tailwinds if ICE vehicle phase-out recommendations in Mumbai Metropolitan Region are implemented Development boost from the ramp-up of Navi Mumbai airport. Rising sourcing costs to weigh on margins However, Nuvama cautions that MGL's gas sourcing mix is deteriorating faster than expected: The share of Administered Pricing Mechanism (APM) gas is declining, as more gas gets reclassified under New Well Gas (NWG), which is priced at a 20 percent premium. The shift, previously occurring at 7–8 percent annually, is now expected to accelerate to 10–12 percent per year. As a result, input gas costs will rise, putting pressure on margins. Industry-wide, Nuvama expects greater consolidation as lower profitability forces smaller or non-core players to divest CGD assets. MGL, with its net cash balance sheet, is open to inorganic growth opportunities if valuations are attractive. Valuation de-rating risk due to policy overhang Nuvama further notes that policy uncertainty and ad-hoc government interventions could lead to valuation de-rating across the CGD sector, similar to the trend seen in Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs), which trade at a significant discount. As a result of these headwinds, Nuvama has cut its FY26–27 EBITDA estimates for MGL by 2 percent and lowered its target price to ₹1,224. 'We retain our Reduce rating, as the sector faces margin headwinds, input cost pressures, and policy-related uncertainties,' the brokerage said. EQT could acquire majority stake in landfill RNG company Waga Energy

This story was originally published on Waste Dive. To receive daily news and insights, subscribe to our free daily Waste Dive newsletter. Private equity investor EQT is in talks to acquire a majority stake in French RNG project developer Waga Energy with the intention of eventually taking the company private, the partners announced on Friday. EQT says it plans to acquire 54.1% of Waga Energy's outstanding shares at a price of 21.55 euros per share. It also plans to acquire 65.9% of the company's voting rights, per a news release. The deal is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to be completed in the second half of the year. Waga Energy's board of directors has approved moving forward with a the proposed transaction. It has hired an independent expert to examine the offer, Waga said in the release. EQT says the deal will also accelerate Waga's growth and cement its position as a global renewable natural gas provider. The firm says its financial backing would help Waga better compete in larger markets while also addressing its core market of small and medium-sized landfills sites. EQT says its 15-year track record of investing in energy transition infrastructure makes it the right fit to lead the deal. Its portfolio includes waste-to-energy companies Arcwood Environmental, Encyclis Reworld. The firm also acquired a majority stake in Heritage Environmental Services in 2023 and a majority stake in waste and recycling software company AMCS in 2024. Waga uses its proprietary Wagabox RNG technology to purify landfill gas into RNG, which the company says is ideal for small and medium landfills because it can process landfill gas with up to 30% air content. The majority of European landfills where Waga has developed its technology fall into this category, the company said. Waga has shifted its focus to North America in recent years and has a growing U.S. market share. The company has so far signed 13 projects in the U.S, it said. Some of these signed deals are with Casella, while other completed projects are partnerships with Veolia, Suez and GFL Environmental. About 79% of the units it has under construction are based in the U.S., and four of its latest contracts are also based in the U.S., it reported in March. Waga currently has a total of 50 RNG production units in operation or under construction across Europe and North America. Its commercial pipeline is about 16.8 terawatt hours per year as of April 2025, up 40% year over year. Waga went public in October 2021, and since then, its revenues have grown by about 66% on average per year, the company said. The company reported 2024 revenue of 55.7 million euros and a net loss of 17.6 million euros. According to the proposed deal, if all legislative and regulatory conditions are met, EQT plans to take the company private by requesting a squeeze-out of remaining shares and then delisting the company. EQT also noted that the initial share price of 21.55 euros could increase through an earn-out amount of up to 2.15 euros per share based on the aggregate amount of U.S. federal investment tax credits that Waga could monetize related to projects it developed in the country. Other major public RNG and landfill gas companies have undergone notable sales in the last few years. In 2022, BP completed the $4.1 billion acquisition of Archaea, positioning BP as a major RNG developer for U.S. landfills.
