UFC Fight Night in Abu Dhabi: Everything you need to know
Ready for an Octagon showdown like no other? UFC Fight Night is back in Abu Dhabi and it's bringing a heavyweight (well, middleweight) clash to Yas Island.
On Saturday, July 26, the spotlight turns to Etihad Arena where former champ Robert Whittaker faces off against rising grappling phenom Reinier de Ridder – and trust us, this is one fight card you don't want to miss.
Whittaker (27-8-0), hailing from New South Wales, Australia, is a fan favourite and one of the most technical strikers in the division.
He's looking to bounce back with a statement win, but standing in his way is de Ridder (20-2-0), a Dutch submission machine who just handed Bo Nickal his first-ever loss. Yep, the guy means business.
But that's not all. The undercard is stacked with thrilling matchups:
Nikita Krylov vs Bogdan Guskov (Light Heavyweight): Russia vs Uzbekistan in a classic striker vs brawler clash.
Ramazan Temirov vs Asu Almabayev (Flyweight): Expect speed, precision and fireworks.
Ibo Aslan vs Billy Elekana (Light Heavyweight): This one's got KO written all over it.
Tickets are now on sale at etihadarena.ae and Ticketmaster.ae – and if you want to go full VIP, UFCVIP.com has you covered with premium seating, backstage access and athlete meet-and-greets.
If you want to stay ringside in style, you can also make a weekend of it with the UFC Fight Night staycation package at Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island. Book a Deluxe Room or Suite and you'll score a complimentary UFC ticket for each night you stay.
Think beach views, gourmet dining, infinity pools, spa sessions and all the adrenaline you can handle. But act fast – this package is only valid until July 25.
It's going to be a night of spinning elbows, takedowns and unforgettable moments. Whether you're a seasoned MMA aficionado or just in it for the drama, this is where you'll want to be.

F1 drivers' title not just a McLaren duel, says Norris
Lando Norris can retake the Formula One championship lead from Oscar Piastri in Spain this weekend but both said Max Verstappen remained a threat and the battle was not just a duel between McLaren teammates. McLaren'stop two are separated by three points in the standings after eight of 24 races and the champions have won six times this year -- Piastri with four to Norris's two. Norris led for the first time after winning the season-opener in Melbourne before ceding the advantage to Piastri in round five in Saudi Arabia but closed the gap again by winning in Monaco last Sunday. Red Bull's Verstappen, the four-times world champion, has won twice and is third, 25 points behind Piastri. "I think mathematically probably the whole grid can win the championship. I think there's plenty of opportunities," said Norris. "Max can still win, I think Ferrari -- I expect them to get better into the season." "Max has been on the podium several times, he's won races, he beat us in Imola fair and square because he was quicker. I don't know what possibly makes you think that it's only between us (McLaren drivers)," added Norris. Spain is a favourite track for Verstappen, the place where he won for the first time in 2016, and Piastri expected the Dutch driver to go well again on Sunday. "I don't think he can be counted out," the Australian told reporters. "The gap is not very large at the moment and they've genuinely been competitive at a decent number of circuits now. "Of course there's been weekends where we've been stronger but I think they've been developing their car, they've been finding more performance. So I think at this point Max is definitely still in the title." Verstappen has won the last three Spanish Grands Prix, and four in total, and has been on the podium seven times in a row at the circuit but he was not bigging up his prospects on Thursday. "For me it doesn't really feel like a fight, to be honest," he told reporters. "I just try to do my best, have a bit of fun out there. "With some races we are really off the pace, which is not enjoyable. But the fighting spirit is still there. That is also never disappearing." Formula One also has a front wing rule change coming into effect this weekend, with the governing FIA carrying out more stringent stiffness tests. McLaren say they do not expect to be affected but others are taking a wait and see approach, with Ferrari even speaking of a potential game-changer.
