Lidl's Bon Gelati Ice Cream Cones came up tops after they were included in a blind taste test.
A box of six 120ml cones costs just £1.99 - which works out to be 33p per ice cream.
The frozen treats come in three different flavours: chocolate vanilla, vanilla and strawberry vanilla.
And of course, the tip is filled with solid chocolate to really leave a sweet taste in your mouth.
Despite being a freezer classic, Cornetto was the least favourite brand in the test.
In Tesco, a box of classic Cornettos cost £3.75 and they are 100ml - so more expensive and smaller than Lidl's offering.
If Cornetto dupes aren't your bag, Morrisons is serving up a new ice cream inspired by Angel Delight.
Fans are going wild for the Ice Cream Twists, inspired by the fluffy, mallowy flavours of the nostalgic pud but in a refreshing soft serve form.
Landing in two "dreamy" duos – Butterscotch & Chocolate and Strawberry & Vanilla – these soft-serve-style snacks are made for BBQS, park picnics, or just scoffing straight from the freezer on a sunny bank holiday.
The icy treats are on shelves now at Morrisons – £2.50 a pop or 2 for £4 in selected stores.
Five Lidl rosés you need this summer, according to a wine expert - a £6.99 buy is as light & crispy as £22 Whispering Angel
Just the announcement of the retro scoops had ice cream fans taking a trip down memory lane.
One wrote: 'Love Angel Delight as a kid. Still do now. Gonna have to get these.'
A second agreed: 'Omg I'm defo gonna need banana ones.'
Dedicated dessert fans have been calling for the soft serve ice cream tubs, which were already available on Trolley.co.uk, to be available in actual stores.
Angel Delight reckon they're the ultimate blast-from-the-past snack, perfect for grown-ups chasing that retro sugar fix or kids discovering the magic for the first time.

Lidl wants to build new store on Pontllanfraith bus depot

The German retailer has submitted planning permission to knock down the former Stagecoach depot building in Penmaen Industrial Estate and replace it with a new supermarket. Proposals under consideration by Caerphilly County Borough Council show the new Lidl would also include customer parking for 112 cars, and new access from the B4254. Planning agents at Carney Sweeney argue Lidl has a 'well-established and growing customer base' and requires a new store in the Blackwood area 'to cater to local customer demand'. The proposed new store could also create around 40 full-time equivalent jobs, they added. Stagecoach closed the site in 2023 following the opening of the firm's new depot in Cwmbran. In a market appraisal for the future of the depot, company Knight Frank judged there is a 'significant supply' of employment sites within the borough. The application is currently out for consultation, and can be viewed on the Caerphilly County Borough Council website under reference 25/0494/FULL.

I taste tested milk chocolate from 8 supermarkets including Aldi and M&S - one bar beat Cadbury

One reporter decided to try eight supermarket brands of milk chocolate – and one bar tasted even better than Cadbury. Cadbury may be the nation's go-to chocolate fix, but with prices ranging from £1.50 to £2, it got one reporter thinking about how supermarket own brands stack up against them. ‌ To keep things fair, Angela Patrone – based at – sampled milk chocolate from both high-end and budget supermarkets, including Aldi, Lidl, Sainsbury's, Tesco, Asda, Morrisons, M&S and Waitrose. ‌ Angela ranked each supermarket chocolate bar and gave them a rating out of 10. ‌ She also shared the cost of each supermarket chocolate bar and how it tasted. This is how each supermarket faired: Morrisons Priced at 80p, this was your typical chocolate bar - a bit sweet, a bit creamy, but nothing to write home about, Angela noted. ‌ "The texture was pleasingly smooth, but unfortunately, the flavour didn't follow suit, lacking any standout notes or lingering aftertaste," she said. Rating: 5/10 Sainsbury's Described as a step up from Morrisons' chocolate bar, this one melt much more readily in the mouth. ‌ At 75p, it had a "pleasant taste" that avoided the artificial tang some chocolates can have. Rating: 6/10 Tesco Tesco's 55p offering reminded Angela of cooking chocolate, and not in a positive sense. ‌ It tasted like a failed attempt to mimic Galaxy and Dairy Milk, complete with an off-putting chemical undertone. Instead of melting into a luscious pool of chocolate, it quickly thinned out. Rating: 3/10 ‌ Aldi Aldi is famed for its budget-friendly offerings that won't break the bank, and its Everyday Essentials range is touted as even more affordable than its other in-house brands. However, at 59p for a 100g bar, the chocolate left much to be desired. It had an oddly salty flavour with a peculiar aftertaste. ‌ Rather than tasting like chocolate, it seemed more akin to overly sweetened confectionery. Rating: 3/10 Lidl Following the Aldi experience, Angela wasn't holding out much hope for Lidl's offering, but it proved to be a pleasant surprise. ‌ Known for its low-cost products, Lidl was her first port of call when considering affordable chocolate bars. Priced slightly higher than Aldi at £1.09 for a 100g bar, it exceeded expectations in terms of taste and quality. The chocolate was "sweet, smooth, and melted delightfully in the mouth". ‌ It evoked memories of Magic Stars from Angela's childhood and, surprisingly, the chocolate bar surpassed Cadbury in both taste and value. Rating: 9/10 ‌ Asda In Angela's opinion, Asda's chocolate bar just about edges out Tesco and Aldi. Priced at 59p per 100g, the chocolate was sweet but lacked the melt-in-the-mouth quality you'd expect from a typical chocolate bar. ‌ Rating: 3.5/10 Waitrose At £2.75, this was one of the priciest chocolate bars in the taste test, and unfortunately, it also ranked as the worst. While Angela could appreciate its thick and smooth texture, the overpowering taste was not to her liking. ‌ Rating: 2/10 M&S M&S was the final supermarket brand on Angela's list, and she had high hopes for this one. M&S is known for its range of scrumptious chocolate goodies that garner rave reviews all year round. ‌ However, their most affordable milk chocolate left her underwhelmed and she expressed that is unlikely to buy it again. Priced at £2.75, the same as the Waitrose bar, it "lacked the expected sweetness and creaminess of a good milk chocolate bar". Rating: 4/10 ‌ Cadbury Finally, we come to Cadbury. The moment you unwrap the bar, you're greeted with a rich, chocolaty aroma. Milk chocolate often has a fatty layer in the harder centre, something Cadbury usually nails. But how did the iconic brand measure up this time? Quite well, although for Angela's taste, it was a tad too sweet. Rating: 8/10 Verdict After sampling all the chocolate bars, Lidl emerged as the top dog. While the Cadbury bar was enjoyable, the Lidl chocolate bar just pipped it to the post.

Morrisons makes major change to supermarkets customers will notice in stores now

The supermarket is aiming to "shine a light" on an important issue. Morrisons has announced this week that it will be implementing a significant change across its stores in a bid to "shine a light" on a crucial cause. ‌ The supermarket chain has revealed plans to turn one in four of its products yellow, along with its baskets, trolleys, café chairs and car parking spaces, to boost awareness for the charity Marie Curie. ‌ This new campaign, which kicked off on Monday, July 28, will see numerous Morrisons products and facilities adopting a daffodil yellow hue as part of its 'Every Pack Gives Back' scheme, reports the Manchester Evening News. ‌ The alterations aim to generate funds for Marie Curie through promotional items being bought by shoppers as part of Morrisons' pledge to raise £15million for the charity. David Scott, Corporate Affairs Director at Morrisons, explained: "We want to shine a light on the importance of end of life care and so turning one in four of our baskets, trolleys, café chairs, and even car parking spaces yellow is a simple but powerful way to start a national conversation about something that affects us all. "In the coming weeks, Morrisons customers can help raise vital money for Marie Curie by buying a promotional 'Every Pack Gives Back' - the brand will then donate a percentage of the sale price to the charity." ‌ Morrisons shoppers will be able spot a sea of new yellow packaging on promotional items such as Innocent Orange Juice, Pampers Nappies, and Soreen Malt Loaf as they browse the aisles. From next week, these yellow packaged goods will also be available to online customers, with the store's website set to feature them from Monday, August 4. The promotion is scheduled to run until August 28. ‌ Morrisons has pledged that for each item sold under the 'Every Pack Gives Back' campaign, a portion of the proceeds will go to Marie Curie. A variety of products including Morrisons food-to-go sandwiches, London Essence Indian Tonic Water, and MOJU Ginger Vitality Dosing Bottle Shots, along with seasonal aisle selections, will don a special 'Every Pack Gives Back' label, making it easier for consumers to spot and support this charitable cause. Marie Curie's Chief Executive, Matthew Reed, commented: "Far too many people are still dying without the care and support they need. What's more, we've seen demand for our services increase significantly in recent years, with a growing gap between those needing end of life care and those who receive it." ‌ He further stated: "Through our partnership with Morrisons, we're aiming to help more local communities and families receive the best end of life care possible, whatever the illness, wherever they are." Morrisons has also announced that it will be selling a limited edition Bag for Life throughout August, in addition to launching a Marie Curie branded grocery delivery van, hosting in-store fundraising events and volunteer-led collections. ‌ The More Card app will also turn yellow to highlight the fundraising efforts. This follows Morrisons' recent update to its loyalty scheme, allowing More Card members to convert their weekly shopping points into a monetary donation to Marie Curie. With the updated More Card feature, customers can now donate their points to the charity via the More Card App or More Website, with 1,000 points equating to a £1 donation. These initiatives follow Morrisons' announcement that it has already raised £2.6m for Marie Curie since the inception of their partnership with the charity in November 2024.
