Time of India3 days ago
On July 18, Priyanka Chopra Jonas turned 43, and among the many heartfelt wishes she received was a nostalgic tribute from her cousin, actor Mannara Chopra. The Bigg Boss 17 alum took to social media to post two memorable photos, one from Priyanka's wedding to Nick Jonas, and another that tugged at the heartstrings: a candid childhood photo featuring the Chopra cousins and their family.
Mannara Chopra calls Priyanka a blessing in birthday tribute
Mannara extended her warm wishes by calling Priyanka a blessing and writing, 'Happy Birthday Mimi Didi. God bless you.' The first image showed Mannara posing with Priyanka, Nick Jonas, their parents, and sister Mitali Handa at the wedding. The second photo, previously unseen, captured a tender moment from their childhood, reflecting the close-knit bond shared by the Chopra family.

The relaxed photo from the past, which illustrated childhood and a positive mood, caused fans to greatly react and most of them commented on the sincerity of the act.
Indeed, it was also a proof of the strong bonds the Chopra family still share, even though the members are moving solo through industries and continents.
Personal loss
According to Pinkvilla, Mannara's tribute came just weeks after the passing of her father, Raman Rai Handa, on June 16 in Delhi. He was also the uncle of Priyanka and Parineeti Chopra. Mannara resumed work shortly after the loss, sharing her gratitude with followers and expressing her intent to carry forward her father's strength.
Priyanka, who couldn't attend the funeral due to overseas commitments, paid tribute to her uncle via Instagram Stories, writing, 'You'll always be in our hearts. Rest easy, Raman uncle (fufaji). Om Shanti.'
Mannara continues to build her career across formats
According to the Hindustan Times, not just in reality-tv shows, but also in unfiltered persona during her stay in Bigg Boss 17, Mannara caught eye of the whole nation and directly touched the hearts of the audience.
The Indian actress was also a part of the team of Laughter Chefs 2, in which she and comedian Sudesh Lehri were the best couple before quitting the show due to her prior engagements during the middle of the season.
Well, Mannara has now touched down with her talent in the film industries of Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada and is still quite active in her television and digital roles. Mannara may have dropped the casual hint of the release of her new projects even if the details are not completely clear, one of the projects being a regional thriller and a fashion-based reality series soon.

'We will take...', The makers of Ajay Devgn's upcoming film Drishyam 3 lands in trouble due to...

Ajay Devgn's 'Drishyam' has become one of Bollywood's most talked-about suspense-thriller franchises, with both previous parts achieving major box office success. Fans are now eagerly awaiting the third installment. Meanwhile, the original Malayalam version, directed by Jeethu Joseph, is also in the works. Though filming has not yet begun, the director recently cleared the air regarding rumors that the Hindi version will start shooting first. What did Jeethu Joseph say? In a recent conversation with Mathrubhumi, Jeethu Joseph confirmed that the Malayalam version holds priority since it's the original story. He revealed that there was a proposal to shoot both the Hindi and Malayalam versions simultaneously, but no final decision has been made. Initially, the Hindi makers had planned to begin their shoot earlier, but that idea was dropped after a legal warning was hinted at. Joseph emphasized that the story belongs to the Malayalam team and any breach could lead to legal consequences. When the filming of Drishyam 3 commence? Jeethu Joseph further stated that he is currently focused on completing the screenplay. The Malayalam version of 'Drishyam 3' is set to begin filming in October 2025 and only after that will work on the Hindi version resume. Speaking at an event, Joseph said, 'I finished writing the climax just last night. It's been weighing on me for a long time, but I'm glad to have wrapped it up.' About the 'Drishyam' Universe The franchise began in 2013 with the Malayalam film 'Drishyam' starring Mohanlal. It tells the intense story of a simple man named Georgekutty, whose life turns upside down after a police officer's son goes missing. The gripping narrative and emotional depth of the film earned it massive praise and led to remakes in several languages: Kannada (2014) with V. Ravichandran, Telugu with Venkatesh Daggubati, Tamil (2015) with Kamal Haasan, and the Hindi version with Ajay Devgn, which added its own unique flavor to the storyline. Now, as both Malayalam and Hindi fans await the next chapter, it's clear that the third part will again aim to keep audiences guessing till the very end.

Saiyaara Crosses Rs 100 Cr In 4 Days, But THIS Vicky Kaushal Film Hit Century In 3 Days In 2025

Last Updated: Directed by Mohit Suri and starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, Saiyaara collected an estimated Rs 22.50 crore on Day 4. There's no stopping Saiyaara. Even on Monday which is typically a slow day for most releases, the film continued its impressive run at the box office. Directed by Mohit Suri and starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, Saiyaara collected an estimated Rs 22.50 crore on Day 4. This brings its total to Rs 106 crore in just four days, according to The romantic drama released on July 18 and got off to a phenomenal start, collecting Rs 25 crore (approx. $2.9 million) on its opening day in India. According to YRF, nearly 9.75 lakh people flocked to theatres on Day 1, making it the biggest opening day ever for a Hindi film led entirely by debutants. It beat the previous record set by Dhadak, which opened at Rs 8.76 crore in 2018. What makes Saiyaara's feat even more notable is that only one other Hindi film in 2025 has managed to hit the Rs 100 crore mark faster, Chhaava, starring Vicky Kaushal. The period drama, directed by Laxman Utekar, has been one of the biggest success stories of the year. It earned a staggering Rs 49.03 crore on Sunday alone, closing its opening weekend with Rs 121.43 crore in India. While Chhaava and Saiyaara differ vastly in genre and scale, one being a historical epic, the other a contemporary love story, both have made history in their own right. Importantly, Saiyaara's success stands tall on its own merit. It not only marks a breakout moment for Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, but also sets a new benchmark for romantic films at the box office. It outperformed recent romantic hits like Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (Rs 11.1 crore), Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya (Rs 6.7 crore), Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar (Rs 15.73 crore), and Kabir Singh (Rs 20.21 crore) in terms of opening day numbers. The buzz around Saiyaara was strong even before release, with advance bookings crossing Rs 9.39 crore and over 3.8 lakh tickets sold. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh had reported that 1.38 lakh tickets were booked across national chains like PVR INOX and Cinepolis—a record for a debut film in recent memory. With its soaring numbers, stellar word-of-mouth and sold-out shows across metros, Saiyaara is proving to be a cultural and commercial phenomenon. While Chhaava continues to dominate as the highest grosser of 2025, Saiyaara has earned its place in the spotlight, representing a strong, refreshing wave of new talent and storytelling in Bollywood. I am a trained classical dancer and have been on stage all my life, so my first interaction with any performative art was on stage.' She continued, 'I really missed being on stage and had been wanting to do theatre in Bombay for a very long time. But I wasn't getting the right opportunity or the right people to work with. Also, it's nearly impossible to manage theatre alongside television. When I got to know Ila Ma'am was casting for the play, I went and met her. I've been a huge fan of hers. She asked me to read a few lines and liked my pitch in Hindi. That's how I landed the role. It's actually my first play ever.'
