EXCLUSIVE: Professional footballer Andy Carroll and his girlfriend Lou Teasdale have been seen looking 'loved up' at Glastonbury after rumours of a bust up during a holiday in Greece
Smitten couple Andy Carroll and Lou Teasdale have been spotted strolling around Glastonbury on the second day of the festival.
The couple looked relaxed in some classic Glastonbury ensembles as they walked through the VIP area of the festival. Professional footballer Andy, 36, wore his long locks down while Lou, 41, opted for a relax outfit consisting of a lose t-shirt and some baggy denim shorts.
A source told The Mirror: "Lou and Andy appeared to put their holiday spat behind them. They were very touchy feely and he couldn't stop popping his arm around here".
It comes after the couple admitted they were spoken to by police following a row between the couple on the Greek island of Mykonos. The pair, who have been dating since last year following the footballer's split with the mum of his three kids, Billi Mucklow, revealed they'd had a "heated discussion" while on the party island, but that things had been "blown out of proportion".
Andy was reportedly questioned about a bust-up he'd had with Lou at a packed beachside restaurant and then at their hotel. One worker at the Nikolus Tavern said of the first argument: 'We recognised him as the footballer Andy Carroll immediately. He seemed very drunk and furious with his partner. He was using very bad words. It was improper behaviour. The woman looked very upset.'
Reports claimed that police arrived and took the former West Ham ace, who was "very calm" to one side for a chat. He was later allowed to return to Lou, who is a well-known celebrity hairstylist.
However, hours later police were reportedly called again by staff after reports of damage to the couple's room at a £500-a-night boutique hotel.
Officers are said to have escorted Andy to a local station for questioning but no arrests were made. Another source claimed Lou did not stay with her boyfriend that night.
They said: "After the restaurant episode, there was another incident at the hotel. This time, the footballer went to the police station. We know the woman stayed somewhere else that night.'
Meanwhile, a British holidaymaker who reportedly spotted the pair while out for a stroll accused Andy of being "very drunk" adding that he shouted at Lou: "I'm done with us!"
Responding to the reports, Andy and Lou admitted that the police were called following their "heated discussion", however they insisted things had been "blown out of proportion", issuing a joint statement which read: "Whilst having a private dinner in a restaurant on a quiet holiday in Mykonos, we had a heated discussion of the sort that most couples have had on occasion. It quickly became apparent to the police that there was no reason for them to be there.
'We went outside the restaurant with them together as they insisted they wanted to 'look after' us.
'As far as we are concerned, the situation has been blown out of all proportion by an interested member of the public. No one was arrested, and no one was charged with anything.
"We are very happy, in love and looking forward to our future together, and we are disappointed that a private disagreement has become a public matter.'

Bake Off legend insists she 'won't be grateful' after TV show axed by BBC
Great British Bake Off icon Nadiya Hussain has spoken out following the response to her BBC show getting cancelled. Earlier this month, the 40-year-old star shared that the broadcaster would not be commissioning another cookery show with her, despite a 10-year working relationship. Anna Wintour to step aside as editor of American Vogue
British-born Dame Anna will remain in charge of Vogue globally and as chief content officer of the media company Conde Nast – which oversees several prominent media brands including Vogue, Vanity Fair, GQ, Allure, Conde Nast Traveler and Wired. The new role at American Vogue will allow her to turn her full attention to her other duties in these roles, it is understood. Dame Anna broke the news to staff during a meeting earlier on Thursday. According to Vogue, she told staff she wanted to 'help the next generation of editors storm the field with their own ideas'. She said: 'Anybody in a creative field knows how essential it is never to stop growing in one's work. When I became the editor of Vogue, I was eager to prove to all who might listen that there was a new, exciting way to imagine an American fashion magazine. 'Now, I find that my greatest pleasure is helping the next generation of impassioned editors storm the field with their own ideas, supported by a new, exciting view of what a major media company can be. And that is exactly the kind of person we need to now look for to be HOEC for US Vogue.' She said many of her responsibilities would continue including 'paying close attention to the fashion industry and the creative cultural force that is our extraordinary Met Ball', and also quipped: 'And it goes without saying that I plan to remain Vogue's tennis and theatre editor in perpetuity.' Dame Anna added: 'But how thrilling it will be to work alongside someone new who will challenge us, inspire us, and make us all think about Vogue in a myriad of original ways.' The move brings a close to Dame Anna's 37-year stint as editor of American Vogue, having overseen the day-to-day editing of the New York fashion magazine since 1988. The British-American editor is widely regarded as one of the most powerful women in publishing and as a major figure in the fashion world. Dame Anna has also run the Met Gala, an annual fundraiser in New York famous for its celebrity guest list, since 1995. Earlier this year, Dame Anna was made a member of the prestigious Order of the Companions of Honour for her services to fashion, joining Dame Judi Dench, Sir Elton John, David Hockney, and Sir Paul McCartney. The order was founded in 1917 by George V and is limited to 65 members at any one time. Appointments go to those who have made a long-standing contribution to arts, science, medicine or government. Following the investiture ceremony at Buckingham Palace, Dame Anna said she did not intend on retiring anytime soon. She said: 'The last time I was here the Queen gave me a medal and we both agreed that we had been doing our job a very long time, and then this morning His Majesty asked me if this meant I was going to stop working and I said firmly, no.' Dame Anna is rumoured to have inspired a former personal assistant, Lauren Weisberger, in creating the character of Miranda Priestly for her bestselling 2003 novel The Devil Wears Prada. The book was made into a successful movie in 2006, starring Meryl Streep in the role of Priestly.
