Controversial book adaptation shocks viewers with BDSM sex
Emerald Fennell's controversial adaptation of Wuthering Heights has been met with shock and labelled 'aggressively provocative' by initial audiences. Fennell's 2023 dark comedy Saltburn, starring Barry Keoghan and Jacob Elordi, caused quite the stir when it was released a couple of years ago. The film featured darkly erotic scenes and was praised for its severe sexual content and nudity, as well as its frequent depiction of violence and gore. Because of this huge success, the announcement that Fennell would be directing an adaptation of Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights was met with excitement – and concern from literary fans. The casting of Jacob Elordi and Margot Robbie respectively as Heathcliff and Cathy, raised major eyebrows, and now it's been reported that an initial first screening of the unfinished film has left many shocked by the content of the period piece. World of Reel revealed that the adaptation included -among other shocking scenes – a nun fondling a corpse, BDSM, and sexualised slugs and egg yolks. Attendees have reported that the film includes 'hyper-sexualised imagery' with a 'grotesque' scene that sees a public hanging end with the condemned man ejaculating during the execution. This is followed up with some blasphemous necrophia from a nun who 'fondles the corpse's visible erection'. There are 'several masturbation scenes' that are 'purposefully discomforting' and a 'BDSM-tinged encounter' involving a woman being strapped into some horse reins. There are also some rather sexy textures, including 'egg yolks running through fingers', sliding slugs, and a bit of dirty dough kneading. Test screenings can often lead to major edits to the film, and with Fennell's film not set to be released until February 2026, who knows if any of this will make it to the final cut! The film has faced criticism for casting Elordi, yet another white actor to play Heathcliff, a famously non-white role that was written by Brontë. On one page of the original novel, Heathcliff is described as a 'dark-skinned gipsy in aspect', while another refers to his 'dusky fingers'. Characters debate his appearance to be of a 'Lascar' – a dated description meaning a sailor from India or Southeast Asia – or 'an American or Spanish castaway'. Casting director Kharmel Cochrane worked on the film and is one of the biggest names in her field in the UK, having previously worked on the likes of Nosferatu, Saltburn, Bob Marley: One Love. While at the Sands International Film Festival of St Andrews, she told Metro that she is very much aware of the abuse directed at her after her casting choices for the film. 'I have really had to hold back on Instagram after a glass of wine, because I think someone was like, 'The casting director should be shot',' she said. More Trending 'There's definitely going to be some English Lit fans that are not going to be happy.' She then added: 'Wait until you see the set design, because it's even more shocking. And there may or may not be a dog collar in it.' 'You can read anything into a book and make it your interpretation. And it's really easy to sit online and say things, but just wait until you've watched it, and then you can say – maybe not that I deserve to be shot – but you can say what you want!' Cochrane suggests. Got a story? Bianca Censori looks completely different with new look while out with Kanye's kids
Model and architect Bianca Censori debuted a totally different look on an outing with her husband Kanye West's children following Kim Kardashian's strong words Bianca Censori debuted a brand new look as she headed out with Kayne West and Kim Kardashian's children. The model has racked up a reputation for daring outfits, including a fully nude dress at this year's Grammys. However, she stepped out looking barely recognisable as she played step-mum to Kanye's children. It seems Bianca has taken Kanye's ex-wife Kim's requests seriously after being told to cover up around them. She was joined by Saint, Chicago, and Psalm as she showed off her dressed down look in Los Angeles. It comes after photos show Holly Willoughby letting her hair down in white swimsuit on sun soaked holiday. Bianca rocked a long sleeved black top with matching capri trousers and a pair of pointed toe heels in photos seen by t he Metro. The star kept her dark locks down with a blunt fringe as she opted for a modest look. It came as a surprise for Bianca, who usually opts for revealing outfits as she dares to bare all. Kanye shares North, 12, Saint, nine, Chicago, seven, and Psalm, six, with ex-wife Kim. At the Grammy's earlier this year, Bianca truly commanded attention when she shed her black fluffy coat to unveil a daringly sheer mesh slip dress that pretty much nothing to the imagination. The couple's red carpet stunt hit headlines across the world after Kim had expressed concerns about her ex's new wife and her choice of outfits around their kids. 'They had cross words with each other, and the word is they both lost their tempers," an insider said of Kim and Kanye's clash in November. "Kim has let Kanye know she's going to try and withhold his visitation with the kids if Bianca is around dressed" in revealing outfits they added when discussing Bianca's skimpy style choices while on step-mother duty. "It's awful, and Kim's convinced Bianca and Kanye are purposely trying to mess with her," a separate source claimed to In Touch Weekly in October. Bianca's fashion choices are possibly a cause for concern for Kim due to the fact her eldest daughter North, is often seen copying her step-mother's outfits. Earlier this year, the young child seemingly borrowed an item from Bianca's wardrobe as she headed out on a mummy-daughter date night with Kim. In June, it seemed Bianca's social media account was deactivated after she braved the streets of New York in nothing but a candy bra and thong. The Australian model wasn't shy about showing off her figure, donning a racy set which threatened to malfunction. Bianca put on another risqué display in the Big Apple and was seen strutting around the city with husband Kanye in nothing but skimpy black underwear and a see-through top that left very little to the imagination. Just a few days earlier, she left very little to the imagination in a pair of sheer pantyhose and a see-through black fishnet top. Fans had a lot to say about the look as one said: "God, I've just opened the Instagram app to see this." "Sometimes less really isn't more," another joked. Someone else complained: "This girl needs to realise that there's much more to women than showing off every inch of your body in such a vulgar way. Where is the class and decorum? Not a good look."

Emmerdale's Belle smiles as final ending to Tom King saga is confirmed
Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) is finally free from Tom King (James Chase) in Emmerdale. When Tom and Belle got together in 2023, it wasn't long until we started to see signs of dark and worrying behaviour from him. At first, Tom's actions were small, but he then became hellbent on isolating Belle from her entire family. Over the next year, Tom was responsible for installing security cameras in the house, tracking Belle's every movement, physically and mentally abusing her, as well as pretending her dog Piper had died in an attempt to get close to her again. The beloved character has been recovering from her abusive relationship for the majority of this year. While Tom was sentenced to prison in December 2024, Belle has still technically been married to him ever since. She began divorce proceedings a few months ago, but she only got word in this evening's episode that the lengthy process had finally been completed. In the café, Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) arrived and handed Belle and important letter. She opened it and read confirmation she was no longer Belle King on record. The divorce had been finalised, which meant she was back to being a Dingle. Lydia knew this was good news, but felt curious when she noticed the somewhat surprised look on Belle's face. She admitted to Lydia that she's taken aback by it all because she expected Tom to put up a fight. After all, once Belle had accepted in her mind that Tom was abusing her she did her best to get rid of him, but he constantly fought back, denying her claims. But the paper was official which meant Belle allowed herself time to relish in the relief. She smiled. Tom first started showing signs of being controlling and violent in 2023, when he pushed Belle after she said that she didn't want to get engaged. It means this entire ordeal for her has lasted almost two years but finally, it's over. While Belle has another physical reminder that Tom has left her life, the mental scars from the abuse will stay with her forever. It means that the relationship world will feel even more challenging for her, as she finds out in upcoming episodes. As she prepares to dip her toe back in the dating pool she chats to Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) who, having been there through the Tom saga and still feeling guilty about it, actively encourages her to jump back in. Belle loads up the dating apps and Nicola can't help but get involved, grabbing the phone for a good swipe. More Trending When Belle later bumps into Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah), she confesses it was Nicola who connected them, leaving Kammy brave-facing it but secretly gutted. Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), who has become weirdly intuitive these days, senses there's more there than an accidental swipe. He's not encouraging though, instead, he gives Kammy a talking to about backing off. Belle is mortified but tells Cain she has no interest anyway. But Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) is also intuitive in a much more supportive way, and senses that Belle is protesting a bit too much. She has a word with the young Dingle and encourages her to pursue the match. Forgetting that Kammy was once sleeping with Belle's great niece, could this be the latest greatest romance to hit the village?
