Guerschon Yabusele posts goodbye letter to Philly after leaving Sixers
Yabusele averaged 11.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.1 assists while shooting 50.1% from the floor and 38% from deep in 70 games. He had to play a number of different roles from power forward to center to starter to a reserve in a season that tested him in a variety of ways.
As Yabusele now moves on to the New York Knicks in free agency, he took to Twitter to post a goodbye letter to the city of Philadelphia after his one season with the Sixers.
The Sixers will look to continue building their roster after losing a key piece like Yabusele. He will now look to help the Knicks while Philadelphia will look to new addition Jabari Walker to pick up the slack.

The Boston Celtics have had players suiting up in a total of 68 different jersey numbers (and have three others not part of any numerical series) since their founding at the dawn of the Basketball Association of America (BAA -- the league that would become today's NBA), worn by well over 500 players in the course of Celtics history. To commemorate the players who wore those numbers, Celtics Wire is covering the entire history of jersey numbers and the players who sported them since the founding of the team. With 25 of those jerseys now retired to honor some of the greatest Celtics to wear those jerseys, there is a lot of history to cover. And for today's article, we will continue with the fourth of four people to wear the No. 29, Boston big man alum Pervis Ellison. After ending his college career at Louisville, Ellison was picked up with the first overall selection of the 1989 NBA Draft by the Sacramento Kings. The Savannah, Georgia native also played for the (then) Washington Bullets (now, Wizards) before signing with Boston in 1994. His stay with the team would span parts of five seasons over six years, with injuries keeping him sidelined for an entire campaign. His time in green and white came to an end when he signed with the Seattle SuperSonics in 2000. During his time suiting up for the Celtics, Ellison wore only jersey No. 29 and put up 4.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks per game. All stats and data courtesy of Basketball Reference.

The St. Louis native of course will miss most if not all of next season as he recuperates from a torn Achilles tendon sustained against the New York Knicks in the 2025 NBA Eastern Conference Semifinals, and thus won't be much of a factor in terms of how his play could shift the standings of the league and the postseason beyond it. But Tatum was on the precipice of the peak of his prime years before the injury took him out of the conversation for the 2025-26 season. Today in Boston Celtics history: Cs end pandemic-interrupted season, sign Dennis Schroder
Today in Boston Celtics history, played their last game of the pandemic-interrupted 2019-20 NBA regular season. The tilt was a 96-90 loss to an underdog Washington Wizards ball club, played at the so-called 'Orlando bubble' in the ESPN parent company's Lake Buena Vista, Florida-located Wide World of Sports complex. In fairness to all involved, however, the Celtics had elected to rest a number of their best players in order to give them some rest heading into the first (and thankfully, only) Orlando bubble postseason in history. With a bit of a touch first round series already locked in that had Boston facing the Philadelphia 76ers, such a move made sense for the Celtics even if it did end up with a mostly meaningless loss to the Wiz. Neither club shot over 40% from the floor, making for something of a tough watch at the end of perhaps the most tumultuous regular seasons in league history. Quotes 'He played with great intensity on both ends of the floor, was trying to do all the right stuff, and obviously made a big impact offensively and did some really good things on the glass,' said then-head coach Brad Stevens of Boston's leading scorer, Javonte Green, after the game via the AP. Green led all Celtics with a season-high 23 points. Transactions It is also the date that point guard Dennis Schroder signed a contract with the team in 2021. The German floor general signed what was then seen as a team-friendly deal after misreading the market. He would end up agreeing to a mini-mid level exception contract with Boston instead of a much larger offer he could have signed to return to the Los Angeles Lakers. Schroder's tenure in Boston was a short one — just 49 games — before he'd be dealt to the Houston Rockets along with Enes Kanter Freedom in a trade bringing back old friend Daniel Theis. He averaged 14.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game with the team.
