KEEP OUT Isolated island where visitors banned for 70 years & trespassers are killed with arrows is the world's last time capsule
A REMOTE island in the Indian Ocean that has been off limits to visitors for 70 years is one of the world's last remaining time capsules.
The tribe who inhabit the tiny island have been living in voluntary isolation for 60,000 years, and are completely unexposed to modern life.

Back in 1956, the Indian government prohibited contact with the residents of North Sentinel Island, in the Bay of Bengal, and the law is still in place today.
The prohibition exists to prevent the islanders coming in to contact with mainland diseases, as they will likely have no immunity to them due to lack of exposure.
It was also implemented to preserve their cultural heritage, and to prevent the tribe from being exploited for tourism or research extraction.
Thanks to the law, the Sentinelese are also protected from poaching and human trafficking, with strict penalties in place for violations.
Unwanted visitors
There is a five mile exclusion zone surrounding the island, and members of the tribe who have defended the island have not been prosecuted by the government.
The tribe have been known to kill unwanted visitors with arrows, and back in April, Youtuber Mykhailo Viktorovych Polyakov, 24, was arrested after visiting the island and giving the Sentinelese people a can of coke.
Following the trip, the influencer, who previously visited Afghanistan and posed with Taliban weapons, described himself as a "thrill seeker".
But he's not the only one to visit the tribe, in 2018, Christian missionary John Allen Chau, 26, visited the island in an attempt to convert the tribe to Christianity.
John had planned to live with the Sentinelese and teach them the bible, but he was immediately shot with a bow and arrow on arrival.
And in 2006, two Indian fisherman were killed by the tribe after their boat accidentally drifted on to the shore.
Brit danger tourist brands tribe pest an 'amateur' & reveals bizarre peace offering he SHOULD have made instead of Coke
The families of the dead have been unable to bury their bodies, as it is too dangerous to visit the island.
North Sentinel Island is roughly 60 square kilometres in size, and is covered in untouched tropical rainforest.
There are no signs of farmland or large settlements on the island, which has no roads, cars, or infrastructure.
Understanding the tribe
Indian anthropologist Triloknath Pandit dedicated years trying to understand the tribe by cautiously approaching them and offering them gifts such as coconuts and metal tools.
Sometimes they would take the offerings, after the anthropologist and his team had left, but on other occasions, they would fire arrows at the outsiders.
ALL ALONE Who are the Sentinelese?
THE Sentinelese tribe are an indigenous tribe who have thrived on North Sentinal Island, one of the Andaman Islands in the Indian Ocean, for up to 55,000 years.
They have zero contact with the outside world and are actively hostile to anyone who approaches their land.
The small forested island of North Sentinel, which is a similar size to Manhattan, is even off limits to the Indian navy in a bid to protect the tribe of about 150 from being wiped out by disease.
The tribe got international attention after the 2004 tsunami, when a member of the tribe was pictured on a beach, firing arrows at a helicopter inspecting their welfare.
In 2006, two Indian fishermen, who had moored their boat near the island to sleep after fishing near there, were killed when their boat broke loose and drifted onto the shore.
Campaigns by non-profit and local organisations have led the Indian government to abandon plans to contact the Sentinelese.
Survival International, an organisation that campaigns for the rights of tribal people, works to ensure that no further attempts are made to contact the tribe.
Then in 1991, a group of Sentinelese walked out of the jungle unarmed and accepted the gifts straight from the visitors.
However, the moment was short-lived.
'When I was giving away the coconuts, I got a bit separated from the rest of my team and started going close to the shore", Pandit told the BBC.
"One young Sentinel boy made a funny face, took his knife and signalled to me that he would cut off my head.
"I immediately called for the boat and made a quick retreat. The gesture of the boy is significant. He made it clear I was not welcome.'

Ex-football star JAILED for 14 years over ‘significant role' in record £2.36million crystal meth haul
Cops found 19.7kg of the Class A drug at his family home LOCKED UP Ex-football star JAILED for 14 years over 'significant role' in record £2.36million crystal meth haul A FORMER football star who was caught with millions of pounds worth of crystal meth has been jailed for 14 years. Michael Boateng, who began his youth career at Crystal Palace, was arrested on Valentine's Day last year after police found 19.7kg of the Class A drug in a sports bag at a flat he shared with his girlfriend and infant son. 5 Michael Boateng has been jailed for 14 years for his 'significant role' in a multi-million pound crystal meth operation Credit: PA 5 Close to 20kg of the Class A substance were found in a bag at a flat he was living in with his girlfriend and two-month-old son last February Credit: PA 5 Boateng admitted to supplying crystal meth, cocaine and MDMA at Croydon Crown Court in September Credit: Alamy A court ruled he played a "significant role" in an organised crime group as the former footballer was sent down for more than a decade. The 34-year-old - who had become a successful personal trainer after his playing career, with clients including England star Jadon Sancho - admitted to supplying crystal meth, cocaine and MDMA at Croydon Crown Court in September. Boateng, donning a blue prison t-shirt and grey tracksuit bottoms, sat motionless as the judge read out his sentence. His girlfriend - who is the mum to the pair's now 18-month-old son - shook her head in disbelief as the sentence was confirmed. Croydon Crown Court head on June 20 how Boateng had been "doing well" while working as a personal trainer between 2018 and 2023. However, he was issued with an Osman Warning from the Metropolitan Police in 2022 - a warning which indicates an immediate threat to one's life. Representing the defence, Paul Crampin told the court how Boateng was informed of a "credible threat against his life". This then caused his partner at the time to "essential refuse him access to their family". After "cutting him off completely from his son", Boateng suffered from a period of stress and depression, Crampin said. He added that this led to drug use, including Class A substances, with Crampin saying he was then "involved in the small scale supply of drugs to essentially people he knew". Ex-Premier League star Ronnie Stam jailed for seven years in multi-million pound drug-smuggling probe This was done to "fund his own Class A drug habit", the defence said. Boateng was stopped by police officers in Bromley, south London, in September 2023 after acting suspiciously. He then ran from the cops down a dead-end road before a dog unit found a snap bag - which had been thrown over a garden wall - containing 19 wraps of cocaine. John Carmichael, prosecuting, told the court how a search of Boateng's flat in Croydon found 14 additional wraps of cocaine, 32 tablets of MDMA and one block of 22 grams of MDMA. The overall street value of the cocaine and MDMA stood at between £3,000 and £4,180, the court heard. Cops also found 26 bags of ketamine, with a street value of £260 to £520 and £1,570 in cash. Boateng said nothing at interview and later pleaded guilty to intent to supply cocaine and MDMA and possession of ketamine. He was granted bail on the condition he abided by a curfew and reported regularly to a police station. However, his story took a further turn after police raided the former football star's new address in Croydon - where he was living with his girlfriend and their two-month-old son - on Valentine's Day last year. A Slazenger sports bag with 19.7kg of crystal meth was found in the hallway of the property. CCTV footage also showed Boateng arriving seven days earlier, dumping the bag in the same position it was found in, after being handed the bag outside the home. The court heard that while the crystal meth had a wholesale value of between £200,000 to £400,000, its street value could range from anywhere between £1,182,000 and £2,364,000. Mr Carmichael said: "He is clearly trusted within an organisation, holding onto a significant amount of drugs." While the defence did not dispute the weight of the drugs the former footballer possessed, they argued it could not be ruled out that Boateng was not a victim of "coercion or intimidation" from organised criminals when holding onto the drugs. However, Judge Daniel Flahive told the court it was clear Boateng played a "significant role" within an organised crime group, saying this position was "not a matter of negotiation". He added: "He had some awareness and understanding of the operation. This does put him squarely in the significant book. "At the moment I can't see how this falls into a lesser role." 'YOU WERE PLAYING A SIGNIFICANT ROLE IN THE DRUG DEALING ENTERPRISE' In his closing statement, Judge Flahive said: "You were playing a significant role in the drug dealing enterprise. Your role was not minimal. "The amount of drugs we are talking about, just shy of 20kg, the value at street level, we are talking potentially millions of pounds. "The reason for the 14 years will be to reflect the sheer quantity of drugs you were looking after in the period of time and reminding myself this was an offence that was committed while on bail for the earlier case. "When you are released you will be subject to licence, the licence will have conditions attached to it. You can go down now." Right back Boateng was a youth player at Crystal Palace between 2005 and 2007 before he eventually made his senior debut for Tonbridge Angels while on loan from Bristol Rovers in 2011. The star then had stints at Sutton United, Bromley, Newport County and Whitehawk before he was dismissed from the latter after being charged following a match-fixing probe in December 2013. He was sentenced to 16 months in prison in June 2014 and the following January got a lifetime ban from football. He was then jailed again in June 2015 for drug dealing. Boateng had appeared as a co-host on the podcast series "Banged Up" which explored life inside Britain's prison system. He had spoken candidly about his wish not to reoffend and stay out of trouble. 5 Boateng played a 'significant role' in an organised crime group, the court heard

Indian man to leave Ireland after being attacked by a group in Dublin over the weekend
AN INDIAN MAN who was attacked by a group of teenagers over the weekend has said he is planning on returning to India as a result of the incident. The man, who wishes not to be named, was attacked by three people on Sunday evening at around 5.30pm in Fairview Park. He told The Journal that he was walking home from the park when one of the group, while riding an electric scooter, kicked him in the stomach. He said that as he tried to walk away, two others joined in the attack and started hitting him. He then fell to the ground and they continued to kick and punch him. He added that one of the group took his metal water bottle and hit him above the eye, causing a deep cut and heavy bleeding. Image of the cut after the assault He told The Journal that some other people were around but did not attempt to help him. However, two male teenagers later did help and called the gardaí. The spokesperson added that anyone with information is asked to contact Clontarf Garda Station on (01) 6664800, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any Garda station. 'Despicable' attacks The attack comes as President Michael D Higgins condemned the recent attacks on members of the Indian community. President Higgins described the attacks as 'despicable' and he expressed a 'deep sense of gratitude' to the Indian community for all they have added to Ireland. 'Their presence, their work, their culture, have been a source of enrichment and generosity to our shared life,' said President Higgins. 'We are all mindful of the immense contribution this community has made, and continues to make, to so many aspects of Irish life, in medicine, nursing, the caring professions, in cultural life, in business and enterprise, to cite just some.' He added that the recent attacks 'diminish all of us and obscure the immeasurable benefits the people of India have brought to the life of this country'. President Higgins added that Ireland has 'long been shaped by migration, both outward and inward' and that those leaving Ireland 'often depended on the generosity of strangers'. He added that the recent attacks 'damage and corrode the most fundamental and enduring instincts of Irishness: those of hospitality, friendship, and care for others'. 'Scared to go outside' The man who was assaulted on Sunday told The Journal that many of his friends in the Indian community are now 'scared to go outside' and some are planning on going back to India as a result – he has already organised his own return in the coming days. Was SeaWorld trainer Jessica Radcliffe killed by savage orca Keiko? The truth about bloody viral video
THIS is the truth behind the viral video of SeaWorld trainer Jessica Radcliffe being savagely killed by a whale. The brutal attack amassed thousands of views online but many have since questioned its authenticity. 3 SeaWorld has received widespread criticism for its treatment of killer whales Credit: Alamy 3 Dawn Bancheau was tragically killed by an orca in 2010 3 Dawn was regarded as the 'Poster Girl' for Seaworld Footage shows the trainer sat balancing on the whale's nose, cheerfully waving at a crowd, before being hurtled into the air. Spouting blood from its mouth, the killer whale then thrashes the woman around in the water. Moments later, the huge beast appears to devour the victim in a scene so grotesque it looks straight out of a horror movie. But now, evidence suggests the attack never happened and the clip is actually AI generated. This comes as dozens of users shared the video online with one even demanding "justice for Jessica". Another ominously captioned the footage: "The final smile before horror Jessica Radcliffe waves to crowd second later the whale strike". It was sleuths at Vocal Media who fact-checked the clip and found no records of the attack ever having taken place. Instead, many believe the video was influenced by the tragic death of Dawn Brancheau who was killed by an orca in 2021. The renowned marine trainer was 40 when she tragically died after SeaWorld's largest killer whale Tilikum dragged her under the water at the end of a training exercise. SeaWorld trainers were forbidden from hopping into the water with Tilikum, as they commonly did with the theme park's other orcas. Killer whales strike AGAIN off Spain as bloodthirsty 'White Gladis' pod smashes yacht sparking frantic rescue mission Only a select few employees, including Dawn, had been trained to work with him from the edge of SeaWorld's pools. Tilikum had spent most of his life performing at SeaWorld after being captured in Iceland near Reykjavik in 1983 when he was two years old. He was moved to Sealand of the Pacific in Victoria, British Columbia, about a year later before moving to SeaWorld in 1992. On February 24, 2010, for reasons only speculated, Tilikum's behaviour suddenly changed and Dawn was pulled in the water from pool's edge and died. Who was Dawn Bancheau? DAWN was a renowned trainer at SeaWorld before she was tragically killed by orca Tilikum in front of a crowd of horrified attendees. Regarded as one of the world's top killer whale trainers, she was working with the 12,500lb sea creature when it grabbed her. Dawn was dragged into the water by the orca - who had already killed two other people in separate incidents - in the attack in February 2010. Her death stunned the world as she was seen as the 'poster girl' of SeaWorld. Some experts have since speculated that the highly intelligent animal may have been driven mad in the confines of captivity - and the tragedy put a new focus on animal welfare at the park. Others however suggested he was attracted to Dawn's long ponytail and was being "curious". But for Dawn's sister Debbie, it is not the way she died that she should be remembered for - but rather for the incredible woman she was. The tragedy meant one man's adored wife was never coming home and her mum would never see her beloved daughter again. Dawn's community lost a fine leader and five grieving siblings didn't get to say goodbye to their youngest sister. Some believe Tilikum had grown frustrated because he wasn't getting rewarded for tricks he was doing correctly. Others believe the attack was intentionally carried out after years spent inside the restricted tanks. Debbie and her four other siblings were in different locations when the news of Dawn's death made its way to her family and friends. Reporters tried to get the family to talk in the days, weeks and months about their feelings on SeaWorld after they lost Dawn. But the family did not want to comment on the marine park's safety operations. She said: "We were constantly seeing pictures of her, having people give their opinions about what happened and why it happened and should trainers be in the water and should whales be in captivity."
