Vos wins opening stage of Tour de France Femmes
She overtook Visma-Lease a Bike team-mate Pauline Ferrand-Prevot in the final metres of the 78.8km route, which began in Vannes and ended with a climb on the Cote de Cadoudal in Plumelec.
Vos then outpaced Mauritian Kim Le Court-Pienaar to win the stage with Frenchwoman Ferrand-Prevot finishing in third.
The 38-year-old said to take the yellow jersey was "really special", and added: "It's the Tour de France, it's the first day, you really can't describe what it means."
Defending champion Katarzyna Niewiadoma Phinney finished the day in fourth place.
Swiss rider Marlen Reusser, who was expected to be among the challengers following her runner-up finishes at the Giro d'Italia and the Vuelta, abandoned the race with stomach problems following a crash at the foot of the Cote de Cadoudal.
Sunday's second stage takes in a 110.4km route from Brest to Quimper.

Chelsea, Man Utd Get Boost After PSG Make Stunning Decision on Star Player
PSG are facing growing uncertainty at goalkeeper, with Lucas Chevalier emerging as a possible long-term solution. Gianluigi Donnarumma is still under contract through 2026, but talks about extending his deal have stalled, and no new agreement seems near. Meanwhile, Manchester United are considering their options in goal, and Donnarumma is reportedly one of the candidates. According to a previous report from Fabrice Hawkins of RMC Sport, Donnarumma remains at PSG, but his agents are exploring potential moves. Manchester United, Manchester City, Galatasaray, and several Saudi clubs have all expressed interest. For now, Donnarumma is committed to PSG and isn't pushing for a transfer—unless the right opportunity arises. Internally, he could still compete with Chevalier for the starting spot, with Luis Enrique expected to make the final decision, Hawkins adds. PSG are ready to end the Gianluigi Donnarumma eraOn Friday, RMC Sport reported that Donnarumma was informed by his management of Chevalier's upcoming arrival. Moreover, the Chevalier case, a priority for PSG's management, is progressing well, per the report. Negotiations with Lille have accelerated in recent days, with both parties agreeing to the idea of a transfer this summer. A five-year contract is already on the table for the French goalkeeper. PSG continue to discuss with Lille a deal around €40 million excluding bonuses. Furthermore, confidence is high on both sides regarding the feasibility of the transfer. Now clearly informed about the situation surrounding the reported arrival of Chevalier, Donnarumma knows what to expect. He has two choices: leave this summer — which PSG would welcome — or stay, which could lead to some tensions this season. In Luis Enrique's mind, Chevalier is expected to become PSG's number one goalkeeper upon his arrival. But if Donnarumma decides to stay, he will not be sidelined, given his history, performance last season, and what he represents in the locker room. This could therefore create some uncertainty in a more strategic position. Recently, journalist Duncan Castles reported that Chevalier is set to be PSG's starting goalkeeper. The Parisians want Gianluigi Donnarumma to leave this summer after the Italy international declined a contract extension, with interest coming from Inter Milan, Manchester United, and Chelsea.

2025 Amundi Evian Championship prize money payouts for each player in France
When it comes to money talk in France, the buzz around the 2025 Amundi Evian Championship was how much a player didn't make. Amateur Lottie Woad finished in a share of third at the year's fourth major championship but didn't collect the six-figure paycheck. That's on top of the nearly $79,000 winner's check she didn't receive after winning the LET's KPMG Women's Irish Open last week. Instead, Minjee Lee took $523,761 for her share of third. Grace Kim took home $1.2 million for her extraordinary playoff victory over Jeeno Thitikul that included an eagle-birdie-finish. While it was a tough final round for England's Cara Gainer, the T-14 finish still gave the LET player a rare six-figure check of $112,525. Players who made the trip to France but missed the cut still earned $3,000 to help cover expenses. 2025 Amundi Evian Championship prize money payouts Pos.
