MILWAUKEE - Tenants of an apartment building damaged by fire say money is being kept from them because of it.
What we know
The fire happened on Thursday, May 1, near 85th and Fairy Chasm. There is extensive smoke damage inside the building.
Days after a fire tore through the apartment building owned by Berrada Properties on Milwaukee's far north side, Robert Bickham is just starting to sort things out.

"I'm just overwhelmed, exhausted, mentally drained," Bickham said. "It's almost like living in a nightmare where you just haven't woken up from."
On Thursday, he arrived home to his eight-unit apartment to see that nightmare unfolding. He watched as firefighters quenched the flames. Days later, he got a look inside.
"The whole building was just in smoke, just big black smoke going off," he said. "My clothes personally are just ruined. Everything is either water damaged or it's just smoked up or burnt."

Now he said his landlord is making matters worse after what he was told on Monday, May 5.
"[I was told] You pretty much need to try and clear out all your property, and we'll give you your security deposit back," he recalled.
Bickham said he went to the building to get some of his belongings to find a mess. He doesn't think it's fair, and said he is being told to clean out his unit, or risk losing his security deposit.
"It's just charred. Everything is completely charred," he said. "The door's off [...] It's like holding your money at ransom or something."

Bickham said he's not sure what he will do next.
"It's hard to kind of see the light at the end of the tunnel when something like this happens," he said.
What we don't know
FOX6 News did not hear back from Berrada Properties.
The Milwaukee Fire Department said the fire has been deemed undetermined as it remains under investigation.

Sade will continue to walk with me daily and right beside me." Scarbrough said the guilty verdicts are an extension of Robinson's shining light to a path forward. The days in court took a toll on Robinson's father, Carlos Robinson, too. "I dreamed about him every night, his face was in my dreams every night," said Robinson. "I don't feel relief because I still don't know what he did with the rest of my daughter." As of Friday's verdict, Robinson's head still has not been found. "It's the most agonizing, painful thing," said Scarbrough . "I just don't see how demonic-type energy can have no remorse and sit there. "Karma is a (expletive) and I will continue to fight to get her justice." The verdict is only partial justice for the family. They started the Sade's Voice Foundation and have filed a civil lawsuit against the bars that served Robinson on the night of her date with Anderson. What we know On Friday, and throughout the Anderson trial, the courtroom was filled with supporters of Sade Robinson. As the verdict was read on Friday, those supporters let out a sign of relief. FOX6 News spoke with people both inside and outside of the courthouse. They said they do not know the family personally, but felt a connection to this case. They wanted to let the family know they are loved. Sade Robinson's mother and others thanked the community for standing beside them. Even as they were doing so, cars drove by honking, some people cheering or shouting, "Justice for Sade." What they're saying FOX6 News spoke with Sierra Lee, a woman who was inside the courthouse when that verdict was read. Lee said she felt compelled to be there throughout the trial. "What compelled me to come out here was, that could've been me. That could've been my sister, that could've been my mother. That could've been anybody to me. To see that her family was going through that. She needs support, they all need support," Lee said. Throughout the Anderson trial, supporters of Sade Robinson wore pink. Others stood outside the courthouse holding signs. They vow their support will not go away now that this case is over. The backstory Anderson is charged with first-degree intentional homicide, mutilating a corpse, hiding a corpse and arson of property other than a building. He is accused of killing Robinson after a date, dismembering her and dumping her body parts across Milwaukee County. One of her arms was later found on an Illinois beach. The next day, Robinson's burned-out car was found near 30th and Lisbon in Milwaukee. Surveillance photos show a man investigators believe is Anderson walking away from the area, and who was later seen on a bus heading back towards his home on the city's south side. Anderson had planned to kill Robinson weeks before her death, according to a statement from a "confidential informant" noted in court filings FOX6 News obtained. Brookfield police seek truck, driver suspected of breaking into vehicles

Driver on Dale Mabry Highway claimed to have bomb in car, used drugs in front of officers: TPD
The Brief Tampa police say Jeremy Johnson fell asleep Thursday evening at the intersection of N. Dale Mabry Hwy. and Columbus Dr. Investigators say he claimed to have a bomb in the car, refused to get out and used drugs in front of officers. Police eventually arrested Johnson and found no bomb in the vehicle. TAMPA, Fla. - Tampa police say the driver behind an explosives threat that shut down a stretch of Dale Mabry Highway on Thursday evening had fallen asleep behind the wheel and was woken up by officers before he claimed to have a bomb in his car. The backstory The Tampa Police Department says officers responded to the intersection of N. Dale Mabry Hwy. and Columbus Dr. shortly after 6:30 p.m. after getting reports of a sleeping driver impeding the flow of traffic. Police say they found Jeremy Johnson, 30, asleep inside the car, which was still running with the gear in reverse. After officers woke him up, he refused to identify himself or get out of the car, according to TPD. Investigators also say they saw drug paraphernalia "in plain view," which Johnson picked up and smoked out of while still in the car. As officers tried to get Johnson out of the car and into custody, police say he claimed to have a bomb, causing investigators to shut down the southbound lanes of Dale Mabry between Tampa Bay Blvd. and Columbus Dr. TPD says no bomb was found in the car, and Johnson was arrested about 25 minutes after officers first approached him.
