Keerthy Suresh: I love wearing anything that looks effortless
From South to Bollywood, Keerthy Suresh has had a dream run in films, but apart from her acting skills, the National award-winning actor is known for her effortless style too. Ask her to shed light on it and she says, 'My fashion language is majorly of comfort; I love being in comfortable clothes. And as for my style, I love wearing loose fits, anything that looks effortless.'
The actor insists that she loves experimenting as it reflects her evolution. 'I love experimenting and eventually evolve as a person, be it in acting or in terms of fashion. Sometimes when you experiment, it's not necessary that it would be in your comfortable space. But if it makes me look good, presentable and the way I want to look, I don't mind experimenting,' says Keerthy.
But is she someone who follows trends? 'It's a little bit of both, following the trend as well as trying to make one. But I love sticking to classics as well. And when it comes to trending fashion, I try to adapt to them. I try to see if that works on me. It's also about how comfortable I feel in that. So, if it works for me, I go for it, otherwise maybe not,' she responds.
Keerthy finds her fashion inspiration in the late Hollywood actor Marilyn Monroe. 'She's someone who taught us how to love yourself and your body. She was never a size zero, yet she still showed us how sexy she could be. She was one of the sexiest and most attractive women. And while today sizes are considered a shame, she flaunted hers beautifully. She was she was definitely an inspiration, and I love her so much that I hang pictures of her in my in the hall in my house,' she shares.
Ask Keerthy what is the fashion legacy she would want to leave behind and she replies, 'The legacy that I would leave behind, or if I could leave behind, is that Keerthy could pull off any clothes effortlessly.'

Nagarjuna wraps up dubbing for Sekhar Kammula's 'Kuberaa'

It may be recalled that the makers of the film have already disclosed that actor Dhanush plays a character called Deva in the film. It may be recalled that Dhanush, at the audio launch of 'Kuberaa', had praised the film's director Sekhar Kammula, calling him "a pure soul, like a divine angel." Dhanush also recalled his first scene for the film which he said he shot barefoot and under the scorching Tirupati sun. The actor shot the scene, dressed in rags. The experience, he said, had reminded him of life's essential truths, much like his time filming 'Raanjhaana' in Banaras, amidst funeral pyres. "Greed, money, worldly pleasures-they're nothing," the actor had said. "What matters is a pure soul. 'Kuberaa' will make you realize that. I am 2000% confident about the impact this film will have." Apart from Nagarjuna and Dhanush, the film will also feature actors Jim Sarbh and in pivotal roles. The film, which is to hit screens on June 20 this year, is keenly awaited as this is the first time that National-award winning actor Dhanush has joined hands with ace filmmaker Sekhar Kammula. Anjum returns to National shooting team with renewed energy
Anjum Moudgil is pleased to be back in the National team to shoot in the World Cup in Munich. After keeping a low profile for some time and being a bit detached from a sport that had kept her occupied for about a decade, Anjum has reclaimed the hunger to excel. 'I feel fresh and like a newcomer in the team,' said the 31-year-old Anjum, who has competed in the last two Olympics in Tokyo and Paris. Quite accomplished ever since she won the World Championship silver medal in air rifle in Changwon, Korea (2018), Anjum realised that she had been far too obsessed with shooting in the Olympics in the last two cycles. 'I have been doing minimal training before the National Championships and the National Games. I was still shooting well and won medals. I did well in the trials and could have competed in the World Cups earlier, if not in the main team. I chose to step back and focus on a few things that have been pending for a long time,' revealed Anjum. She utilised the time and all her savings, along with her husband Ankush Bhardwaj, to set up a dream project, Archon Fitness, a gym with a shooting range and other sporting facilities in Mohali. 'It is the only gym with a shooting range in Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula, the Tricity,' said Anjum, happy to have set up a dream project that provides a holistic fitness and recreation facility for everyone. Experience is a great teacher, only for those who are willing to learn. Anjum is a fine student of sport and life. Being a practitioner of the Art of Living, Anjum immerses herself in meditation and has learnt to live in the present. There is no reverse gear to retrace the past, and no acceleration to visualise the future. 'It has been great to take the mind off shooting and focus on so many other things. It has been a very good learning experience, tackling so many aspects. I have stopped thinking too far ahead. The focus is to stay in the moment and do one's best. After the Tokyo Olympics, we tuned to Paris quickly, because the time was also short. Now, I focus only on the current competition. We will think about Los Angeles in 2028,' she said. Relaxed With plenty of achievements and medals, both in air rifle and rifle 3-position events, Anjum is quite relaxed about her shooting. Years of diligent training have tuned her technique nicely. With an uncluttered mind, she can shoot very well, even with limited preparation. Even though two World Cups have finished already, there is plenty of action left in the season, with the Asian Championship and the World Championships lined up, along with another World Cup, before the Shooting League of India (SLI). Anjum is confident of fine-tuning her shooting to match world standards and lend the best possible support to the Indian team that is already quite dominant in the international arena. Anjum had won the mixed air rifle gold in Munich in 2019, and is ready to paint fresh memories to her rich collection.

You don't even know who that person is. It took a toll on me for 2-3 days because I kept getting a lot of messages. Even now, if I post something with him, nine out of ten comments will be about our religion or caste,' Priya said.
