Trump Highlights Close U.S.–Egypt Co-op on Immigration Amid New Travel Ban

U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed on Thursday that the United States is working closely with Egypt regarding immigration to America.
During a joint press conference with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz at the White House in Washington, Trump stated: 'The countries included in the travel ban are those that do not have things under control. But with Egypt, we are working very closely.'
Earlier on Thursday, the White House announced that President Trump had issued an executive order banning citizens of several countries from entering the United States.
The decision was justified by concerns related to national security.

ICE Officers, Deportees Trapped in Djibouti Shipping Container
Taarek Refaat US federal court documents reveal that approximately 12 Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers (ICE) and eight deportees are suffering from illnesses and living in harsh conditions inside a metal shipping container in Djibouti. More than two weeks ago, Boston federal judge Brian E. Murphy halted a deportation flight transporting migrants from Cuba, Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, and Mexico to South Sudan, ruling that the operation violated his April injunction, which prohibits deporting people to countries other than their home countries without giving them an opportunity to seek humanitarian protection. The judge ordered the responsible authorities to conduct humanitarian protection screenings in accordance with the Convention against Torture. Instead of returning them to the United States, authorities transported the migrants to Djibouti, where a shipping container was converted into a temporary detention center inside the only US military base in Africa, Camp Lemonnier. Melissa Harper, a senior immigration official, testified in court that three officers and eight detainees arrived at the base unprepared for potential hazards, such as extreme temperatures, air pollution, and the security threat from Yemen. She added that the officers were not provided with protective clothing or equipment, despite advance warnings of "an imminent threat of rocket attacks from groups in Yemen." Tesla Shares Recover amid Calls to De-escalate Tensions between Trump, Musk
Taarek Refaat Tesla shares recovered from heavy losses amid signs that the rift between CEO Elon Musk and US President Donald Trump is easing, easing investor concerns about the potential political fallout for the electric car maker. Tesla shares rose 5% in early trading. Politico reported that Musk and Trump were expected to speak on Friday, but a White House official told Reuters there were no plans for a call. Musk indicated via his X social media platform that he was open to easing tensions with Trump. The dispute between Trump and Musk wiped more than $150 billion off Tesla's market value on Thursday, the company's largest single-day drop. Interior Min. Participates with Citizens in Celebrating Eid al-Adha
Taarek Refaat Police officers from various security directorates joined citizens in celebrating Eid al-Adha, taking to the streets and squares to offer their congratulations and distribute flowers to passersby and motorists. This comes within the framework of the Ministry of Interior's strategy, one of whose main pillars is to activate the societal role of all security sectors and engage citizens in celebrating various occasions. This contributes to deepening the bonds of trust and strengthening the connection between police officers and citizens. The Ministry of Interior held Eid al-Adha prayers at correctional and rehabilitation centers for inmates. The events were attended by a number of Islamic and Christian clerics who joined the celebrations and congratulated the inmates, expressing the solidarity and connection among the Egyptian people. ِAlso, the Community Protection Sector convened committees to review the files of inmates nationwide to determine those eligible for pardon for the remainder of their sentences.
