After Kajol, Ajay Devgn, and Mani Ratnam, Netflix's 'Rana Naidu' actor Rana Daggubati has stood by Deepika Padukone's 8-hour working shift amid the Spirit row.
The actor said, 'It depends on the project, the person, and the region. For example, in Maharashtra, it's a 12-hour shift, while in Telugu cinema typically has an 8-hour shift starting at 7 am. Everyone has a certain mentality, and the city also gives to certain things. You are seeing it as a generic statement - it is not. If you have to shoot on a set, it depends on how much prep you need. There are films taking place on a big spectacle where only two shoots take place in a day.'
STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD
Daggubati added, 'Nobody is forcing anybody. It's a job. You can't be forced to do a job. Everyone has their own opinion on what's important to them in their life. There are actors who only work four hours a day - that's their system of working. They end up doing more than what a guy in 8 hours does. It's different for everybody, and it's not a general discussion.'
After exiting from Sandeep Reddy Vanga-Prabhas' biggie Spirit, the latest reports suggest that the actress has taken the same step for Kalki 2898 AD 2.
While the fiasco between Deepika and Vanga has been garnering headlines for quite some time, a new report has emerged discussing the actress's demands for Spirit.
'The actor had reportedly demanded ₹25 crores for approximately 35 days of shoot, along with a 10% profit share, extensive entourage expenses, and even expressed unwillingness to deliver dialogues in Telugu—something the director felt strongly about. To top it off, confidential plot details from Spirit were allegedly leaked, which raised serious concerns among the producers," the source told News18.

Sonakshi Sinha, Jyotika to act in Ashwiny Iyer's courtroom drama; Filming begins in Mumbai
Sonakshi Sinha and Jyotika will face off in a courtroom in their upcoming film. The movie is a powerful legal drama directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari. The film has been in development for some time. It was originally planned with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kiara Advani in the lead roles, but the casting changed as things didn't go as planned. 'Because it didn't align with [our] timelines and creative direction," a source told Mid-Day. Earlier this year, the makers decided to rework the script and give the project a fresh start. That's when Sonakshi Sinha came on board. According to the source stated to Midday, 'Sonakshi came on board after extensive look tests and readings. She brings a grounded intensity to the role that impressed the creative team." Filming Begins in Mumbai The shoot for the film started just last week in Mumbai. Courtroom sets have been built in areas like Malvani, Madh Island, and Vile Parle. The film's story revolves around a legal case and explores themes of personal trauma and social justice. Sonakshi's Role Sonakshi Sinha will play a strong and determined lawyer in the film. Jyotika Joins Soon Jyotika is expected to start filming in mid-June and will also have a powerful and impactful role. 'The script is gritty and is not your typical courtroom drama.
