The James Cook topic continues for the Buffalo Bills as the team begins their 2025 OTAs.
The spring practices in Buffalo are unfolding in Orchard Park this week and the Pro Bowl running back is not in attendance.

Cook, 25, have made it no secret that he wants a new contract extension and wants to be paid as one of the NFL's best running backs. As of now, that new deal has now arrived for Cook.
While Cook is skipping OTAs to send a message about wanting a new contract, that does not mean he's doing anything wrong. This set of spring practices are not mandatory, they are voluntary, and no players is required to attend.
While his top rusher sits out, head coach Sean McDermott did downplay the situation.
Bills Wire will continue to provide updates throughout the 2025 offseason.

Steelers, Aaron Rodgers Situation Receives Bombshell Prediction
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The Pittsburgh Steelers and their fans have been anxiously awaiting word about what Aaron Rodgers is going to do. While the expectation has been that Rodgers would sign with the team to be their starting quarterback, no deal has materialized yet. Every decision the Steelers have made this offseason has hinted at their firm belief that Rodgers will sign. They passed on pursuing other free agent quarterbacks and waited until the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft to select Will Howard. While it has been viewed as a dangerous game to play, Pittsburgh would instantly be a Super Bowl contender if Rodgers does put pen to paper. Mark Kaboly, a reporter covering the Steelers who is also a correspondent for the "Pat McAfee Show," has revealed his prediction. Read more: Steelers Insider Reveals Major Update on TJ Watt Contract Situation Kaboly believes that Rodgers will be signing with Pittsburgh before the end of the week and will be in town early next week. "I still think he signs in the next couple of days," Kaboly said. "Friday or over the weekend — be there by Monday or Tuesday. Depends on when [the news] is broken. I still think that's the plan." Being able to work out a deal this weekend would be a big step in the right direction for both Rodgers and the Steelers. He will need to get into town and start working on his chemistry with the rest of the team. During the 2024 NFL season with the New York Jets, Rodgers threw for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. He also completed 63 percent of his pass attempts. He would be surrounded by a quality roster and would have a very legitimate shot at making a run at the Super Bowl. Now, he simply needs to decide officially whether or not he wants to play for the Steelers. This new report suggests that he will sign and become the new quarterback in Pittsburgh. There have been other reports like this one, but the time for a decision is coming up very quickly. Hopefully for the Steelers, this time around the prediction becomes reality. Expect to hear more about Rodgers come out in the near future. Until he signs, the media coverage surrounding the situation will remain very active. Analyst praises Bucs current approach to roster building, NFL Draft
Analyst praises Bucs current approach to roster building, NFL Draft Jason Licht did not start off strong as the general manager of the Bucs when it came to drafting. Some of his early draft classes are some of the worst in franchise history if we are being honest. Specifically the 2016 class where they traded up to draft Roberto Aguayo who lasted one year after being an all-time great college kicker at Florida State. But like most things in life, failure can lead to lessons learned, and Jason Licht is a prime example of that. His recent run of free agency and trades, paired with his draft classes, has the Bucs with one of the more complete rosters in the entire NFL. That roster has now become a talking point for analysts who cover the league, most recently on ESPN by Kevin Clark on their program, NFL Live. "The way the Buccaneers draft now is for value. They're drafting because their roster is so good ... Jason Licht is one of the best GMs in all of football." Licht has earned that distinction in recent years as we mentioned. It isn't just his roster building, though; it is also how well he handles the constant turnover of their coaching staff year to year. They have lost their playcaller the last two years, and he has shown continued support for Todd Bowles that has allowed the players on the roster to continue to develop. It all plays a part in the success that the team is having right now.

NFL.com Predicts Bills Will Finally End Super Bowl Drought In 2025
Predicts Bills Will Finally End Super Bowl Drought In 2025 originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Buffalo Bills appeared to be closer than ever to reaching the Super Bowl with Josh Allen last year, but again, they fell at the final hurdle. Advertisement Now, as 2025 approaches, following an offseason that has seen the defense receive several upgrades, particularly to its pass rush, and Allen acquire another weapon in Joshua Palmer, the Bills' roster appears to be, on paper at least, Super Bowl-caliber. But under Sean McDermott, can this version of the Bills do something that the teams of the early 90s couldn't and finally break through? Eric Edholm ranked all teams without a Super Bowl win, and named Buffalo as his top candidate to break their drought. "Everyone knows the Bills' story: four straight Super Bowl appearances, no victories," Edholm writes. "But that doesn't tell it all. Buffalo has played multiple playoff games each of the past five seasons, losing twice to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game in that span. Painfully close to a dream deferred, yet still so far from the elusive rings. Advertisement "But with Josh Allen, those dreams can't be shelved. With a pretty loaded roster, the 2025 Bills have a real opportunity to fulfill their Super Bowl dreams." Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen (17).© Mark J. Rebilas-Imagn Images The Bills have been a dominant force in the regular season over the past few years, but when it comes to the playoffs and, in particular, the Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo has seen its season end at the hands of Patrick Mahomes four straight times. Is this upcoming season the time when Allen and Co. can finally bring it all together and not only make the Super Bowl, but win it? They have the roster to do it, but the mental scars of previous failings will be hard to overcome. If Allen can put on the Superman cape, then who knows? Maybe he will be the one to finally end Buffalo's title drought.
