India To Expose Pakistan Globally; Delegations Of Multi-Party MPs To Meet World Leaders
With Pakistan spreading disinformation with regards to India following the 'Operation Sindoor', India has now decided to expose Islamabad's false propaganda by sending a delegation of multi-party MPs to meet and brief the world leaders on Kashmir and the India-Pakistan conflict and cross-border terrorism. JDU leader KC Tyagi said that the MPs from across political parties will go to different countries and will share the entire chain of events with the world that happened after the Pahalgam terror attack.
A delegation of MPs from various parties, including NDA, BJD, Congress, and others, will visit prominent nations such as: US, UK, Japan, South Africa, Qatar and UAE, commencing after May 22. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju is leading the coordination efforts for this international tour, marking a significant step in India's diplomatic outreach.
The MPs may include Shashi Tharoor and Manish Tewari from Congress, Anurag Thakur from BJP, and Priyanka Chaturvedi from the Shiv Sena-UBT.
The key objectives of the tour is to enlighten global leaders about the recent tensions between India and Pakistan, while also showcasing India's strategic viewpoint and garner support from the international community, said sources on Friday. MPs have been asked to assemble in Delhi with necessary documents, and the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) will provide detailed briefings on the tour's plan and agenda.

The groups will likely to leave for different destinations across the world on May 22- 23.
This will be the first time that the Centre will depute MPs from multiple parties to present India's stance on Kashmir and cross-border terrorism originating from Pakistan. Each delegation will comprise 5-6 MPs from various political parties, including NDA, BJD, Congress, and others, along with an official from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and a government representative.
The MPs have been advised to keep their passports and other travel-related documents ready. The delegations are likely to depart India for various countries on May 22 -23 and return in the first week of June. India launched Operation Sindoor in the intervening night of May 6-7, in response to the April 22, Pahalgam terror attack, in which 26 tourists were killed, including a Nepal citizen.

As the Narendra Modi-led NDA government marks its first anniversary in its third term, BJP chief J P Nadda, said that the work done under the Prime Minister's leadership towards good governance, and welfare of the poor will be etched in 'golden letters'. The BJP-led government also completes 11 years on Monday since it came to power at the Centre in 2014. PM Modi took oath for a third term on June 9, 2024. 'Work done by the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi in the past 11 years were extraordinary, and should be written in golden letters,' Nadda said in a press conference at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi. Emphasising on a shift post 2014, Nadda said: 'That government [Congress-led UPA] before 2014 was full of corruption. There was a negativism. However, after 2014, there was a shift from negativism to optimism. Every one today says 'Modi hai toh mumkin hai''. Crediting the PM for transforming the political culture, Nadda came down heavily on the Congress-led UPA government prior to 2014. 'Eleven years ago, our political culture was marked by appeasement, and breaking the fragments of the society to save one's 'chair'. But after Modiji came to power, politics of performance, responsive and responsible government, accountable, politics of report card, emerged to form the new culture. The 'new normal', new order' has been established. It is an effective government, it is a government which has taken strong decisions… It has turned to be a transparent government and a futuristic government,' he said. Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai promoted as deputy Chief of Army Staff
Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai has been elevated to the post of Deputy Chief of Army Staff (Strategy), a role under which all operational verticals of the Indian Army report to the Deputy Chief of Army Staff (Security), news agency ANI reported. He will also continue to serve as the Director General of Military Operations (DGMO). Last week, Lt Gen Ghai, a key figure in military briefings on Operation Sindoor, was awarded the Uttam Yudh Seva Medal (UYSM) by President Droupadi Murmu. He led military operations for Operation Sindoor, launched on May 7, in retaliation for the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which killed 26 people. The operation targeted nine terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. At a press conference on May 11, Lt Gen Ghai revealed that his Pakistani counterpart had proposed a ceasefire during an interaction on May 10, which led to both sides agreeing to halt hostilities. Clarifying media reports, the Indian Army later stated that the ceasefire agreed upon in the DGMO talks on May 12 has no expiry date. 'No DGMO talks are scheduled today.
