SHLOCK & ROLL 'High-tech' Elvis show SLAMMED by furious fans as they compare it to flop Willy Wonka experience
A 'HIGH-tech' Elvis Presley show has been blasted by fans who say it involved grainy video clips while an impersonator danced on stage.
Some attendees were expecting cutting-edge holograms to rival the smash hit Abba Voyage virtual gigs.

But it has since been compared to last year's Willy Wonka experience flop by furious audiences.
Elvis Evolution promised a dazzling journey through the King of Rock and Roll's life when it opened at the ExCel in East London this month.
However, disappointed punters who paid up to £300 for VIP tickets claim there was no 3D avatar — just an actor dancing in front of video clips of the icon.
Chas Johnson, 48, said: 'The whole thing is lamentable.

"But where it goes really wrong is where there was meant to be something akin to Abba Voyage with a hologram of Elvis, the focal point, that's completely missing.'
Another attendee said: 'People were looking around and thinking, 'Is this it?'.'
Others compared it to the Wonka show in Glasgow where an immersive experience left kids in tears.
An Elvis Evolution spokesman said plans for a hologram concert announced in early 2024 were dropped during development.

But they insisted this was 'made clear when tickets went on sale' and the show has been 'praised by fans and newcomers'.

Tom Hiddleston's fiancée sets record straight on wedding claims and reveals ‘toxic paragraphs' from family members
Zawe Ashton has been with the Marvel star for over six years TRUTH TIME Tom Hiddleston's fiancée sets record straight on wedding claims and reveals 'toxic paragraphs' from family members Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) THE MARVELS star Zawe Ashton has set the record straight amid rumours she's secretly married long-time love Tom Hiddleston. The famous couple have largely kept their relationship out of the public eye, going public for the first time in 2021 after a rumoured two years of dating. When the announcement noted Tom as Zawe's 'husband', rumours started circulating that they had secretly tied the knot. This week, Zawe joined longtime pal Miquita Oliver on her Miss Me? podcast, clearing up the speculation – and revealing even family members had believed it, sending her upsetting messages in the process after 'not being invited'. She told Miquita: 'We've been engaged for a long time. There are … I think there have been publications that have named us husband and wife already.' 'Like 'uh, okay, no invite? Whatever.' It's like, no, no, no. It didn't happen! We didn't do it in secret. We haven't eloped.' Despite the pair not making it official, Zawe did note that the pair do call each other husband and wife, which may have been where the confusion came from. She added: 'It's just a semantics thing. I think at some point you're like 'girlfriend, boyfriend' … with a kid and another one on the way? Does that feel right?' Zawe – who first shot to fame on Channel 4 sitcom Fresh Meat in the early 2000s – added that for some reason it 'p***ed off married couples' that they call each other husband and wife without actually getting married. Tom and Zawe have been running in similar social circles throughout their career, and were first photographed at a friendly event in 2018 celebrating the career of Harold Pinter. Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton discuss their roles in hit Harold Pinter play Betrayal Shortly after, the pair were cast alongside each other in a play by the same famed playwright, Betrayal, portraying husband and wife Robert and Emma. After a West End run in 2019, the show was transferred to Broadway, with the pair reprising their roles – during that time, it was noted they had got close. They finally went public with their first official outing as a couple at the Tony Awards in 2021. Since then, Zawe joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as The Marvels' villain Dar-Benn. Bombshell book claims Jeffrey Epstein called Prince Andrew a serial sex addict and said he was kinkier than himself
The explosive claims come alongside fresh allegations about Andrew's conduct on royal tours 'SEX OBSESSED DUKE' Bombshell book claims Jeffrey Epstein called Prince Andrew a serial sex addict and said he was kinkier than himself Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) PRINCE Andrew has been branded a 'serial sex addict' in a bombshell new book — with Jeffrey Epstein reportedly claiming the Duke of York was even kinkier than him. The shocking allegations appear in 'Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York', which the disgraced royal reportedly tried to block. 'From the reports I've got back from the women we've shared, he's the most perverted animal in the bedroom. 'He likes to engage in stuff that's even kinky to me – and I'm the king of kink!' The explosive revelations come alongside fresh allegations about Andrew's conduct on royal tours. A Reuters correspondent reported that, during the King of Thailand's diamond jubilee celebrations in 2006, more than 40 women were taken to Andrew's Bangkok hotel room. 'Often, as soon as one left, another would arrive,' the reporter said. Hotel staff were reportedly stunned that 'more than 10 a day' were going to the Duke's suite. The exposé portrays the 64-year-old royal as a man consumed by sex, with claims from an investigative journalist that he has bedded over a thousand women, ranging from porn stars and actresses to palace staff and bartenders. Prince Andrew has never been more toxic - the public hate him and NONE of the royals back him either One 20-year-old model, who says she twice slept with Andrew before being whisked to Mustique, recalled: 'He wanted me to engage in kinky sexual activity. 'He had no boundaries. He told me he had an open marriage arrangement with his wife. 'After returning to London, I never heard from him again. I felt like he used me for a few days, so he could live his wildest fantasies.' Masseuse Emma Gruenbaum, who worked on him at Royal Lodge, alleged Andrew was a 'constant sex pest,' insisting on being naked for massages and making crude remarks. 'That's just not normal behaviour for a professional sports therapy session," she said. The book also recounts disturbing tales from palace insiders. One former staff member claimed: 'When I started, I was warned to stay away from him. 'He would sometimes enter the staff quarters. 'It seemed everyone was aware of his behaviour, but little was done about it.' From his 'Randy Andy' schoolboy reputation to being accused of bullying aides and humiliating women at society events, Andrew is painted as both sex-obsessed and arrogant. Aides alleged he once had an employee moved because of a mole on his face, while another was sidelined for wearing a nylon tie. 9 Disgraced paedophile Epstein died in prison in 2019 Credit: Splash 9 Prince Andrew with bikini girls as he holidayed on the French Riviera in 2002 Credit: The Mega Agency 9 The Duke of York on holiday in Sardinia in 2010 Credit: MCP 9 The Duke meeting with Thailand's Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra (left) in 2006 Credit: Shutterstock Editorial The York family reportedly tried to block the book, warning contacts not to cooperate and enlisting the Foreign Office to discourage diplomats from speaking. Despite legal threats, the exposé has gone to print — leaving Andrew once again at the centre of a storm of sleaze and scandal. It comes as a top lawyer warned that Andrew may not be in the clear despite the FBI dropping its probe into his ties with Jeffrey Epstein. Spencer Kuvin, who has represented five of Epstein's alleged victims, said the Duke of York, 65, still has reason to worry after six years of avoiding travel abroad for fear of arrest. 'I still don't think Andrew can sleep soundly,' Mr Kuvin said. 'With the quick change of administration or new leadership at the Department of Justice, the investigation could be reopened or continued. 'Andrew needs to visit the US to answer questions from the FBI. Avoiding this merely makes people think he's guilty.' Andrew has always denied claims by Virginia Giuffre that he abused her when she was 17, insisting he never saw or suspected Epstein's crimes. Giuffre died in Australia in April at the age of 41. There is no statute of limitations for federal sex crimes in the US, meaning allegations could be revived at any time. Andrew has not set foot in America since meeting Epstein in New York in 2010.

Child star from original Willy Wonka film reveals how much he still earns from movie 54 YEARS later
Peter Ostrum was just 14-years-old when he appeared on screen as the beloved Charlie Bucket in 1971's Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Starring alongside Gene Wilder as the lucky winner of the Golden Ticket, the former actor once described his pay check as 'paltry' and later turned his back on acting to pursue a career as a vet. However 54 years on from the film's release, he has revealed he still receives a small income from his role. Speaking at Snowtown Film Festival in 2018, Peter said he makes around $8 to $9 in royalties every three months from the film being shown on TV. Based on Roald Dahl 's 1964 book, the movie told the story of five schoolchildren who won the chance to tour the magical factory belonging to candy man Wonka after finding golden tickets hidden inside chocolate bars. The film suffered 'lukewarm reviews' and 'died a quiet death' Peter recalled, earning $4million from its release and disappeared. Starring alongside Gene Wilder (pictured) as the lucky winner of the Golden Ticket, the former actor once described his pay check as 'paltry' and later turned his back on acting However, thanks to a series of TV broadcasts it began gaining popularity in the 80s with the child star admitting he had no idea just how popular it had become. Peter told the Daily Mirror: 'Back then when the film came out there was no red carpet premiere. 'I was in my hometown in Ohio and they had an opening there and I was the only one there. There was a little bit of fanfare but not much and the film died a quiet death. 'It had lukewarm reviews and people forgot about it. It wasn't until video 10 years later that it resurfaced and it took on a life of its own.' Peter traded in the acting scene to become a respected veterinarian, after getting a doctorate from prestigious American university Cornell and using his earnings from the film to buy a horse. He turned down a potentially lucrative three-film deal with producer David L. Wolper following his success in Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory to concentrate on his studies before specialising in treating cattle and horses. 'Everybody could be so lucky to have an experience like this and then to go in a completely different direction,' he told the Today show in 2015. Discussing his brief acting career with the Daily Express in 2014, the Ohio -born father-of-two recalled: 'Looking back, my pay check was paltry, but it was during filming that I really became interested in medicine.' Peter continued: 'People tell me they watched Willy Wonka so many times growing up that they wore out their VHS copy. We had no idea we were making a classic, which even coined a new phrase: "I've found the golden ticket." 'I will always cherish my memories of making the movie, but I feel I won the golden ticket by becoming a vet.' In an interview with the American Veterinary Medical Association, Peter recalled seeing a vet at work and thinking: 'This person really enjoyed what he did for a living.' He explained: 'My father was a lawyer, and I really didn't have a clue what he did all day. But I knew exactly what the veterinarian did. 'Someone making a living from something he enjoyed so much really sparked my interest. I thought if I didn't pursue that, I'd always kick myself.'
