Champions League: Barcelona lose 3-1, but will face Inter or Bayern Munich
If Inter go through to the Champions League semi-finals, then they will be up against Barcelona, who qualified this evening despite a 3-1 defeat to Borussia Dortmund.
The Nerazzurri have a 2-1 first leg lead against Bayern Munich in their quarter-final, so by avoiding defeat at San Siro on Sunday, it will be enough to book their spot in the last four of the tournament.

Barcelona will be waiting for the winners of this tie, having already secured their ticket for the semi-finals.
Tougher than expected for Barcelona
DORTMUND, GERMANY – APRIL 15: Serhou Guirassy of Borussia Dortmund scores his team's first goal to complete his hat-trick during the UEFA Champions League 2024/25 Quarter Final Second Leg match between Borussia Dortmund and FC Barcelona at BVB Stadion Dortmund on April 15, 2025 in Dortmund, Germany. Having won the first leg 4-0, it was meant to be a mere formality, but that was certainly not the case in Germany.
Borussia Dortmund emerged with a 3-1 victory on the night, as Serhou Guirassy bagged a hat-trick on the night.
Just as they were pushing hard to reopen the tie, Barcelona got a stroke of luck with the deflection off Ramy Bensebaini beating his own goalkeeper.
Barcelona ultimately went through 5-3 on aggregate and will face either Inter or Bayern Munich.

The first leg of the semi-final will be in Catalunya, so Inter could get the second leg at home.
The other semi-final will be between Paris Saint-Germain and either Arsenal or Real Madrid.

Barcelona will not negotiate with Athletic Club for Nico Williams

Barcelona will not negotiate with Athletic Club for Nico Williams The brass at La Liga champions Barcelona will not hold any form of negotiations with their counterparts at Athletic Club, amid efforts to sign Nico Williams. That's according to RAC1, who have on Thursday provided an insight into the situation. Advertisement Significant developments towards Nico at last taking his talents to Catalunya's capital this summer have of course been confirmed over the course of the day to date. This comes after it was widely reported that the 22-year-old has agreed on the terms of a contract with Barcelona. From here, the understandable assumption on the part of most was that it would now be up to Deco and co. to find a similar agreement with La Liga rivals Athletic Club. As alluded to above, however, in fact, the Blaugrana do not intend to hold club-to-club talks with the Basque outfit at all. As per a report from RAC1, as much comes with Barca aware that Athletic will not negotiate any sum lower than Nico's release clause. Advertisement The Catalans, in turn, intend to simply activate as much, leaving the board at San Mamés with no say in the matter. Conor Laird – GSFN

Why Barcelona are ‘losing patience' with attacking transfer target

The board at La Liga giants Barcelona are growing impatient with the situation of a headline member of the club's summer transfer shortlist. That's according to Mundo Deportivo, who highlight Luis Díaz as the player in question. Advertisement Wide-man Díaz has of course seen his name pushed somewhat into the background in Catalunya's capital over recent days. This comes after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that the Colombian has been overtaken in the race to be a new Barcelona player by Athletic Club standout Nico Williams. This shift came for a number of reasons, not least of them the fact that Nico himself is actively pushing for a Camp Nou switch. A similar approach had been expected on Díaz's part for some time now, but is yet to come to fruition. And as per the aforementioned MD, as much has not gone down well with the likes of Deco and Joan Laporta: Advertisement 'In the case of Luis Díaz, Barcelona have begun to lose patience. Joan Laporta and Deco's plan was for the Colombian to put strong pressure on Liverpool. However, aside from Díaz's statements in a recent press conference, the reality is that there has not been any significant pressure on the Anfield leadership.' Conor Laird – GSFN

Watch: Lamine Yamal enjoying vacation with Barcelona icon Neymar

Fresh off international duty with Spain in the UEFA Nations League, Lamine Yamal is already enjoying his vacation. With his 18th birthday just around the corner, Yamal has big plans for the upcoming season, with the youngster particularly keen on winning the Champions League title with Barcelona. Advertisement For now, though, Yamal is enjoying his vacation in Brazil, where he was seen playing with Neymar. This was revealed through Neymar's Instagram account, where the former Barcelona attacker posted a video of Yamal kicking a volleyball in what looks like a beach volleyball court. It appears the two are enjoying the vacation together in Brazil, which is quite interesting as it suggests the two share an excellent relationship. This comes as a treat to the eyes of Barcelona fans, many of whom believe that Yamal resembles the style of Neymar. The two could have even played together if Barcelona had entertained the idea of re-signing Neymar earlier in the year- a topic that was widely discussed. Advertisement But Neymar eventually moved on to his former club Santos, though his contract at the Brazilian club is set to expire at the end of the month. Given that Neymar will soon become a free agent, it is rather interesting to see the Brazilian enjoying his vacation with one of Barcelona's top players this summer.
