Is Taylor Swift 's 2022 Midnights track Vigilante S— really about Scooter Braun and his divorce from former wife Yael Cohen? Well, according to Scooter himself, it's not. In a candid new interview on the Question Everything podcast with Danielle Robay, the music executive shot down the speculations that Swift's track was inspired by his split from former wife Yael Cohen.
Elaborating on the reason behind why he thinks so, Scooter Braun said that his relationship with Yael is still rock-solid. He shared, 'My ex-wife is one of my best friends. We don't even call each other exes. That's like my partner, that's the mother of my children."
Scooter even revealed he has a tattoo on his finger that reads 'same team", calling Cohen his 'family for life." He continued, 'She and I are on the same team for life. So no, I never thought that was about us. She never thought it was about us. Everyone else is kind of feeding into the fire… Great strategy move, but nah."
In case you don't know, the buzz was all about Swift's lyrics. On the track, she sings, 'She needed cold hard proof, so I gave her some, she had the envelope, where do you think she got it from? Now she gets the house, gets the kids, gets the pride. Picture me thick as thieves with your ex-wife… Lately, she's been dressing for revenge."
Swifties read between those lines, especially because of the timing. The song's release coincided with Scooter's divorce, which led fans to believe that Taylor wrote the song about befriending Yael Cohen.
In the same chat, Braun also got candid about the impact of divorce on his life: 'No one in my family had ever been divorced," he said, adding that he had the pressure to maintain the image of a 'perfect life." He expressed, 'I thought that made me worthy of love… and it wasn't until our marriage came apart and I couldn't fix it, I felt like a failure."
Scooter Braun also admitted that it wasn't the controversies involving Taylor Swift but losing his marriage that affected him the most.

Teej Mahotsav concludes with focus on culture, women empowerment
New Delhi, Jul 27 (PTI) The Teej Mahotsav 2025, a three-day celebration of tradition, women's empowerment and cultural heritage, concluded on Sunday at Dilli Haat, Pitampura. Organised by the Delhi government, the festival witnessed enthusiastic participation from across the city and beyond, transforming the venue into a hub of music, crafts, food and community engagement, a statement said. Held from July 25 to 27, the event featured over 100 stalls showcasing handicrafts, regional delicacies, cultural art forms and interactive activities such as rangoli-making, slogan writing and quiz competitions, it said. A dedicated children's zone, selfie points, swings and free mehendi services added to the festive atmosphere, it added. Women Members of Parliament from Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Delhi took part in the event. Mallika Nadda was also among the attendees, the statement said. Speaking at the closing ceremony, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta described Teej as a reflection of cultural awareness and women's collective identity. 'The presence of my sisters enhances the beauty of every event. The large turnout shows how deeply connected women are to the spirit of Teej," she said. Minister for Art, Culture, Language and Tourism Kapil Mishra said the event was organised free of cost to promote women-led entrepreneurship and provide a platform for local talent. 'Teej Mahotsav is an important step towards positioning Delhi as the cultural capital of the country," he said.
