Farmer Wants a Wife casting furore erupts as Jarrod discovers he may be RELATED to his love interest
A potential Farmer Wants a Wife 'couple' shared an electrifying moment on Monday nights episode when they discovered that there was a chance they might be related.
Farmer Jarrod was having his very first meet up with Brianna when the lady dropped that she was from Coffs Harbour on the NSW mid north coast.
The 22-year-old sheep and hemp farmer from Queensland then mentioned cheerfully that he had a 'lot of family' in the well-known tourist town.
Brianna, who goes by Bri seemed delighted that she might have a common social connection and asked for the family name of Jarrod's relatives.
'The Page family,' Jarrod replied and then came Bri's bombshell: 'I'm a Page!'
For a moment Jarrod appeared devastated that his attractive date might be a distant cousin.
And it turned out that the spelling of Bri's family name is identical to the farmer's relatives.
Jarrod then revealed that he was I'm related to 'Norman Page, John Page, Roger Page' - luckily, none of those names rang a bell with the farmer.
Bri laughed off the cringe worthy moment by telling Jarrod: 'That's so weird.'
Still, after getting past the awkward moment the pair seemed to hit it off and they bantered about the NRL State of Origin - Bri revealed she barracked for NSW.
Jarrod, meanwhile, appeared to be impressed with Bri's desire to have a family.
In his on camera debrief after the meet-up a beaming Jarrod admitted: 'Yeah, I think there's chemistry [with] Bri.'
There was plenty of drama on Farmer Wants A Wife debut on Monday night's episode.
No less than six women lost their chance at finding love in the country.
It was a brutal round of Speed Dates that left Farmer Thomas dumping Sophie, Edwina, and Ashleen before they even really got started.
Thomas failed to bond with the three beauties, who were sent home at the end of the episode.
Sophie, 32, is a teacher who's done with being the 'fifth wheel' in her friendship group – she wanted her forever person.
Edwina, 29, a radiographer from NSW, was drawn to Thomas' serious commitment to love and family.
And then there was Ashleen, 35, a senior event manager who says it's the little things – like sharing life's special moments – that matter most.
All three have been sent packing however, along with three more women rejected by Farmer Corey - Millie, Jamie, and Ellie.
Aged care support worker Millie, 22, says she was instantly drawn to Corey's 'genuine soul' - but it did her no good.
Likewise, 23-year-old Jamie from Victoria, a speech pathologist with a love of family and a strong work ethic, was sent packing.
Ellie, 26, a Queensland educator known for her empathy and resilience, was also ditched.
Farmer Corey has chosen his love interests and was left standing with Jadee, Keeley, Hunter, Rosie and Chelsea.
Farmer Thomas will be looking for love with surviving beauties Clarette, Claire, Rachel, Nat and Ellen.
The men then picked their final five ladies, who will now battle it out to win these country boy's hearts.
The series returned to screens on Monday and is hosted by longtime presenter Natalie Gruzlewski.
Natalie returned this year after being dumped by the network and replaced by former Sunrise presenter Samantha Armytage for the 2023 season.

Samantha Armytage 'blindsided' as Channel Seven producers eye ex-husband Richard Lavender for Farmer Wants A Wife revamp
Samantha Armytage has been left blindsided by reports her ex-husband Richard Lavender is being courted by Channel Seven producers to appear in an upcoming season of Farmer Wants A Wife. According to New Idea, executives at the network are quietly eyeing the 65-year-old equestrian businessman as a 'dream farmer' for the revamped 2026 season - a move insiders say has deeply unsettled the former host. Armytage, 48, was previously the face of the hit reality dating series before jumping ship to Channel Nine last year to host The Golden Bachelor - making the timing and choice of casting even more controversial. 'Sam wouldn't love the idea of Richard being involved in Farmer,' a source told the outlet. 'In fact, she would probably see it as a bit of an insult.' The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at Lavender's Southern Highlands property on New Year's Eve in 2020, but quietly called it quits last December - just shy of their four-year anniversary. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Daily Mail Australia revealed the split in December, with sources at the time suggesting growing tensions within the blended family, including reported clashes with Lavender's adult daughters, may have contributed to the breakdown of the marriage. Now, producers are said to be keen to freshen up Farmer Wants A Wife by casting older farmers and dialling down the drama - a strategic move to rival the success of Nine's The Golden Bachelor, which coincidentally stars Armytage. 'Production doesn't want the format becoming stale,' a network insider told New Idea. 'They're desperate to give the show a fresh new look and format in a bid to rival its growing competitors.' But the idea of her private ex-husband now stepping into the very spotlight he avoided during their marriage has reportedly left the TV host rattled. 'She's been living quietly and focusing on her new role, so the idea of Richard being pulled into the media circus like this – and on her old show, no less – would hit a nerve,' one television insider said. Armytage herself recently hinted at a quiet love life, telling The Daily Telegraph there wasn't 'much to write home about' and that she was 'living vicariously' through her work on The Golden Bachelor. Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Seven and Armytage's representative's for comment. The couple's split, following Armytage's departure from Seven, has been a topic of industry speculation, particularly regarding tensions allegedly brewing between Lavender's adult children and the TV personality. In December, Armytage sensationally announced she had split from the equestrian businessman, 65, on the eve of their four-year wedding anniversary. The couple tied the knot at his 40-hectare property in the picturesque Southern Highlands in NSW on New Year's Eve in 2020. Well-placed sources revealed news of their split exclusively to Daily Mail Australia, with Armytage then confirming they had 'amicably' gone their separate ways. As the current season of FWAW draws to a close, Channel Seven has announced the dating series will be back on our screens in 2026 and applications are officially open. The network took to social media last month to share the exciting news, urging single farmers from across Australia to head online and apply for their chance at finding love. In a move sure to delight fans, producers confirmed they are on the hunt for 'all single farmers' to star in the show's upcoming sixteenth season. To be eligible for the show, applicants must be at least 21 years old and are required to disclose any past or present criminal charges. Budding reality stars will also need to be available for filming from early October to mid-December 2025, with the highly anticipated reunion episode set to film over three days in January 2026.

Farmer Wants A Wife reunion set to deliver explosive bombshells: Who ends up together and everything you need to know
It's the romance show known for its slow-burn love stories and genuine connections - but this year's season of Farmer Wants A Wife has taken a dramatic turn. While past seasons have ended with heartwarming updates and countryside lovebirds riding off into the sunset, this year's reunion promises fireworks, behind-the-scenes truths, and a few very awkward catch-ups. In a major spoiler for fans, Daily Mail Australia can reveal that Farmer Jack ends up choosing Sarah – and the couple are already making big plans for their future. An insider close to production spills: 'Jack and Sarah were inseparable by the end. She's planning to move down to Tasmania to live on his farm full time. They're the real deal.' While their romance flew under the radar for much of the season, sources say their chemistry became undeniable behind the scenes. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'There was a maturity and calmness to their connection that producers loved – and viewers will see that in the finale,' another insider adds. Unlike MAFS, the FWAW reunion will only feature the couples who made it to the end together. According to an insider who spoke to Chattr, 'I believe the girls who ended up with the farmer were the only ones invited.' This includes: Farmer Thomas and Clarette, Farmer Tom and Georgie, Farmer Jarrad and Chloe and Farmer Jack and Sarah. Clarette and Thomas, despite some major mid-season hiccups and walkouts, have reportedly patched things up and are still very much together. 'It was rocky, especially after the whole honesty box disaster, but Thomas realised Clarette was the one,' a production source told Daily Mail Australia. 'They've been trying to make long-distance work and are discussing next steps.' While viewers are expected to see Farmer Corey choose Keeley in the finale, Daily Mail Australia can confirm the pair didn't last long after filming wrapped. 'It's come from a couple of girls that Corey picks Keeley,' former winner Daisy told Chattr. 'But someone says he's now single… I never know if people are leading me down the garden path or not with their messages.' A production insider backs this up, telling Daily Mail Australia: 'They gave it a go, but Corey really struggled once filming ended. He wasn't ready for a relationship and things quickly fell apart.' The reunion - hosted by returning favourite Natalie Gruzlewski - won't just be a cosy catch-up. While it will centre on the successful couples, expect more raw honesty and awkward admissions than ever before. 'I heard it was just the successful couples talking about whether they've moved or plan to move. Everyone was together at that stage as far as I've been told,' one insider told Chattr. However, Daily Mail Australia can reveal that producers are planning to include some of the biggest behind-the-scenes dramas in the special - including what really happened on Tom's farm. 'Producers were lovely, Tom wasn't,' a cast member told Chattr. 'He kept saying he didn't want to lead anyone on, but led everyone on except Georgie. It was clear as day.' An insider added: 'There were tears, there were walkouts. This wasn't your usual Farmer reunion – it felt more like a MAFS wrap party with pitchforks.'

Farmer Wants A Wife's Thomas declares his feelings after emotional date: 'Could be the one!'
Things are getting real on Farmer Wants A Wife - and one smitten farmer may have already found his happily ever after. Farmer Thomas made a heart-stirring confession on Tuesday night's episode, revealing he 'believes Clarette could be the one' following an emotional one-on-one date that left both of them in tears. The couple returned to the pristine beaches of South Australia 's Eyre Peninsula for their most romantic date yet, where Thomas surprised Clarette with a touching video message featuring her friends and family from the UK. Clearly overwhelmed, Clarette struggled to hold back tears as she watched heartfelt messages from loved ones back home. 'It made me feel like I'm not alone here anymore,' she told producers, while Thomas looked on adoringly. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. But it didn't stop there. In a move that signalled just how serious things were getting, Thomas took Clarette to meet his Uncle Tom - a major milestone in the farmer's journey to love. 'My uncle's opinion and his tick of approval means a lot to me,' Thomas said. 'I believe Clarette could be the one, and I'm hoping my Uncle Tom reassures me a bit more that I'm right.' It comes just one day after Thomas made a dramatic comeback during Monday's episode, just 24 hours after blindsiding his ladies by abruptly storming off the farm. Clarette, Rachael, Jess and Laura were left visibly stunned when the farmer made a late entrance at the glitzy Country Ball, having had zero contact with them since vanishing in the heat of the moment. 'I'm really sorry about how it all ended,' Thomas said, pulling Clarette aside the moment he arrived. 'I shouldn't be storming out.' Still reeling from their argument, Clarette told Thomas she felt betrayed after discovering he'd been messaging his ex, Claire, despite insisting their connection was over. 'I was so upset because I thought Claire was no longer an issue for us,' she said. But Thomas was quick to shut down any lingering doubts. 'I mean it, I swear. The contact's deleted. No contact at all,' he insisted. His emotional plea seemed to work, with Clarette accepting his apology before the pair sealed their reconciliation with a passionate kiss. The shock reunion sent ripples through the group, with Jess later pulling Thomas aside for a serious chat. She admitted she felt like she was wasting her time competing for attention and hinted at a possible exit from the show. Despite the drama, Thomas went on to select Clarette for his next one-on-one date, proving he's all in on making their relationship work. His surprise return, heartfelt apology, and bold decision to double down on Clarette has well and truly reignited the race for love - and thrown the farm doors wide open for more drama. Thomas was previously caught out in a lie after it came to light that he was still in contact with old flame Claire, who left the show a few weeks ago on account of feeling self-conscious and overwhelmed. When a message popped up on the farmer's phone from Claire, who was dubbed one of Thomas' front-runners after securing the 24-hour date in week one, he decided to be upfront with Clarette and Rachael. However, despite his honesty, all hell broke loose on the farm, with Clarette descending into a jealous rage. 'I believed that a line had been drawn on everything, and there was no contact,' she said. 'Then I find out tonight that there has been contact since that, so I'm really upset.' When Clarette questioned Thomas over whether he wanted to pursue things with Claire, he replied: 'No, she's dead to me.' She then challenged the farmer, who was seemingly backed into a corner, asking why he was still messaging her if that was the case. Thomas stood his ground, assuring her that he didn't want anything to do with her, but Clarette was having none of it. 'You keep doing things all the time and then asking for forgiveness constantly. I'm over it!' she told the farmer. The blow up saw Clarette storm off, slam the door and close the shutters - and Thomas drove away from the farm in a frenzy - as the episode ended in a nail-biting cliffhanger 'I wouldn't put up with this outside of this experience and I'm definitely not going to lower my standards.' Things only escalated from there, when the pair went off camera to discuss the drama and Clarette asked to see Thomas' phone. What she discovered was a slew of messages between him and his former love interest in the weeks since she had left the show. 'So, when you were trying to get with me, you were still flirting with her? 'Everything has been a lie. Everything! Look how many messages there are, you f***ing prick!" she screamed. The blow up saw Clarette storm off, slam the door and close the shutters - and Thomas drove away from the farm in a frenzy - as the episode ended in a nail-biting cliffhanger.
