Rosie Huntington-Whiteley doesn't see marriage as 'massively important'

Perth Now27-04-2025

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley doesn't feel it is "necessary" to marry Jason Statham.
The 38-year-old model got engaged to 'The Meg' actor - with who she has Jack, eight, and three-year-old Bella - in 2016 after six years together but tying the knot isn't "massively important" to her, and if they eventually do exhange vows, it will be in a "low-key" celebration.
She told the Sunday Times Style magazine: 'Maybe one day. It's not something that's ever been massively important to me. Throwing a big, fancy wedding is not something I feel is necessary at this point in my life. If we do, it will be low-key.'
At 57, Jason is almost 20 years older than Rosie but the 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon' actress insisted their age gap has never been an issue and they have always just taken each day of their relationship "as it comes".
She said: 'I'm committed to my family. I value the family unit and he's just been such an incredible person in my life. We take each day as it comes. There's a lot of love and fun and humour, and we just try to make it work.
"Relationships go through many iterations. You just have to hold on. I try to show up as the best version of myself. You can only control your side of it, right? My happiness is not in his hands. I just try to do my part.'
The family moved from Los Angeles to London in 2020, in part so Jason could be around for his family more, and Rosis praised her fiance for being a "very involved" parent.
She said: 'He was like, 'I'm going to be away from you and the kids for big stretches [shooting movies]. If we move to London, I can make everything there.' So that was a really big reason. He goes to work and comes home at the end of the day, which is pretty special for somebody in his line of work.
"Jason is a very involved and super-hands-on dad and such a supportive partner to me.
"I call him the human playground because he's constantly got the kids on his back, rolling around. He's so playful. The man has insane amounts of energy, it's boundless.
"He's a big kid himself but also an upbeat reinforcement and positive influence on them, and incredibly attentive, loving and capable.
"I feel lucky that I'm at work today and he's with them and I don't need to call and give him a list of things to do and remind him of this or that. And the kids adore him.'

Jason Isaacs spontaneously married wife to get 'medical insurance' for her

Jason Isaacs spontaneously married his wife Emma in Los Angeles so she could get "medical insurance". 'The White Lotus' star has recalled how he had no insurance - apart from his Screen Actors Guild insurance - to cover hospital bills when his then-pregnant spouse was "sick and had lung problems" in Los Angeles, California. So, Jason and Emma - who have daughters Lily, 23, and Ruby, 19 - decided to get hitched at a "registry office" in the city and then go to the hospital so their hefty medical costs could be covered. He explained to Jessie and Lennie Ware on the latest episode of the 'Table Manners' podcast: "We were in Los Angeles. She was pregnant, Emma, she'd been sick [and] had lung problems, and we wanted to fly home. "And I phoned my brother, who's a doctor, and he put us on to a lung specialist. "The guy said you need to go to a hospital and have a check for pulmonary embolism right now, because you shouldn't get on a plane, because she's had two courses of antibiotics and still got lung ache. And we went, and I didn't have medical insurance for her, but I get SAG insurance (Screen Actors Guild). "So we went to a registry office in Los Angeles, and then we went straight to the hospital. Then she got medical insurance." Elsewhere during the podcast conversation, Jason admitted he finds being famous "naff" and is always surprised when people are excited to meet him. The 61-year-old actor - who famously played villain Lucius Malfoy in the 'Harry Potter' film franchise - said: "It's a bit naff being famous. It feels empty. "And I get embarrassed by the social status you get when you meet people who are genuinely impressive and do extraordinary things. "But if you can use it sometimes to lighten people's load or do something good, it just feels like it's swinging the pendulum." Jason has a close bond with Great Ormond Street, a London-based children's hospital, and he enjoys going to meet the kids, as well as "give them autographs" and perform "magic tricks". Jason said: "I have a relationship with Great Ormond Street, and I get to go and help them raise money. "It's the best place to send your kids if they're sick. Hopefully, nobody listening will ever have to send their kids if you do. There's no better place in the world to send their kids. "And they're also a centre for incredible research, and at the moment, they're building a brand new giant Cancer Centre. So I'm hoping to raise money. "But also, when I go, if anyone's interested in meeting someone from 'Harry Potter', I go around and meet the kids, give them autographs, and do magic tricks and other things like that." 'Table Manners' is released weekly and is available on podcast streaming platforms.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce enjoying 'vacation mode' away from spotlight

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have been "in vacation mode" out of the spotlight. The 'Anti-Hero' hitmaker has struck up a friendship with WNBA star Caitlin Clark, 23, after they watched Travis, 35, from a private suit in January during a playoff game for the Kansas City Chiefs. Asked if they'll be supporting her this season, she told USA Today: "Oh gosh, I don't know. I mean, I hope so. 'I feel like they're also living — they're in a nice, in vacation mode right now. So I hope they enjoy a nice little break out of the spotlight. "But I'm sure they'll be cheering for the [Indiana] Fever either way.' Taylor, 35, has been dating Travis for almost two year, and recently met his brother Jason Kelce's new baby. Jason - who is married to Kylie Kelce and has Wyatt, five, Elliotte, four, Bennett, two, and six-week-old Finn with her - admitted that it was tricky to find the time but confirmed that Taylor has met the most recent arrival. He told 'Entertainment Tonight': "She's met her. We were fortunate to have them all in. It doesn't happen often—everyone's really busy—but it was really special." Jason and his family have been catapulted into the global spotlight since his brother Travis Kelce - who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs - struck up a relationship with Taylor . His mother Donna Kelce, has also become famous in her own right, and has made multiple media appearances over the last two years but worked as a banker for most of her life before retirement. When Jason was asked about what he would like his kids to learn, he admitted that it would be the "work ethic" that his mother has displayed throughout her life. He said: "The thing that I would love to instill in my kids is my mom's work ethic and her dedication and sacrifice. "I think when you're younger, you don't realize a lot of that, but as you get older, Mom was working full-time jobs. "She was cleaning a lot of the house. She was making a lot of the meals. I think at the time, it's just your mom is being mom and you don't realize everything that she's doing so that you have opportunities and things to achieve your dreams. "So I think that for me, I would love my girls to really see that hard work and that sacrifice and things that have made her life amazingly successful and enjoyable!"

Jason Biggs wants a fifth American Pie movie

Jason Biggs wants to make another 'American Pie' movie. The 47-year-old actor is "very proud" of the comedy franchise - in which he played Jim Levenstein - and how it shaped his career, and after the cast last got together for 2012's 'American Pie Reunion', he'd love to reunite on screen with the likes of Eugene Levy, Jennifer Coolidge, Seann William Scott, Chris Klein, Tara Reid, Alyson Hannigan, Natasha Lyonne and Eddie Kaye Thomas once again. Asked about being part of a potential 'American Pie 5', he told People magazine: 'Of course, of course, I would. I've always said I would 100% be down to work with those people again and to play that character again, and you know, it's one of the best experiences of my life. 'I'm very proud of it. 'I'm proud that 26 years later people are still talking about it, so I would for sure do another one." Jason still thinks of Eugene as his "second dad" thanks to the bond they built working on the movies. He said: 'He lost his house in the [Los Angeles] fires, he and his wife, and so I spoke to him after that. 'Eugene is one of my favourite people in the world. He really is a second dad in a lot of ways to me and so he's just the best. He taught me so much.' The 'Orange is the New Black' actor is also in regular contact with other members of the cast. He said: 'Eddie Kaye Thomas, who played Finch in the movies, is one of my best friends. He lives on the East Coast, so we see each other, we talk a lot. Then everyone else, you know, there's texts that go around for sure.' Jason previously admitted he was delighted with the long-lasting impact of the 'American Pie' movies, the first of which was released in 1999. He said: 'There's now another one or two generations of people that have seen the movie, identified with the movie, liked the movie. 'It's been a really, really special thing for me.'
