Eppeltone Engineers is set to make its debut on the NSE SME platform today, with strong grey market signals pointing to a sharp premium. The last reported grey market premium (GMP) stood at Rs 90, implying a potential listing price of around Rs 218 — a gain of nearly 70% over the IPO price of Rs 128 per share.The Rs 43.96 crore IPO, an entirely fresh issue of 34.34 lakh shares, was subscribed robustly across categories.The overall subscription stood at 24.49 times, with QIBs bidding 22.64 times, NIIs 69.19 times, and retail investors subscribing 15.09 times. The strong institutional interest signals confidence in the company's fundamentals and long-term prospects.Founded in 1977, Eppeltone Engineers is a diversified manufacturer of electronic energy meters, smart metering systems , UPS devices, LED luminaires, battery packs, and various railway-related products, including neutral section assemblies and modular cantilever systems.It primarily caters to government clients and operates a 36,000 sq. ft. production facility in Greater Noida, with support units located in Noida and Okhla.For FY25, the company clocked revenue of Rs 125.74 crore and PAT of Rs 11.23 crore. Real-money gaming ban may hit payment, regtech businesses hard
The second-order effects of a ban on real-money gaming (RMG) are set to be felt across the fintech sector, with digital payment companies and regulatory technology startups bracing for a large chunk of their business Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill , 2025, which seeks to impose a countrywide ban on online games where real money is wagered , has received Parliament approval with the Rajya Sabha passing it on Thursday , a day after the Lok Sabha cleared it . This is set to impact gaming platforms like Dream11 , Pokerbaazi and to multiple industry insiders, the payments industry could potentially lose Rs 20,000-30,000 crore in monthly transaction volumes once movement of money for real-money gaming stops.'You will see some impact playing out on UPI payments as well since that was the most popular payment mode used by gamers,' the founder of a payment firm said on the condition of transactions on RMG platforms skyrocket during popular cricket tournaments like the Indian Premier League and ICC World founder said those bumps would disappear and it would be a huge loss to the payments industry, which chases payment volumes as a major growth firms used to chase gaming platforms given they offered better margins and volumes tend to be very high, another senior industry insider told ET.
