Samsung may have developed a way to keep the Exynos 2600 cooler
A 'chipset' is just that – several chips, usually arranged in a package-on-package structure, which places the RAM on top of the application processor (this is the silicon die that holds the CPU, GPU, NPU and other components).
The Heat Pass Block adds another layer to that stack – a copper heat sink. This is similar to the heat spreaders that are typical in modern designs. Heat spreaders, however, are added after the package-on-package structure has been assembled.
The advantage of the HPB is that it is much closer to the source of the heat, which should allow it to pull heat away more efficiently. An example of package-on-package stacking, without an HPB
The Exynos 2600 will be fabbed on Samsung's 2nm Gate-All-Around (GAA) process and is expected to ship with the Galaxy S26 series. We wouldn't be surprised to see a Snapdragon chip in some or all Galaxy S26 Ultras. However, whether the other S26 models get the Z Flip7 treatment (Exynos in all markets) or whether chip selection varies by market remains to be seen.
Samsung is expected to complete quality testing of the Exynos 2600 and should officially unveil the chip around the same time. The Galaxy S26 series should be out in late January or early February.

It has a 6.7-inch 1080x2340 Super AMOLED screen with a waterdrop notch, 90 Hz refresh rate, 1,100-nit peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass Victus on top, a triple rear camera system (50 MP main with OIS, 5 MP ultrawide, 2 MP macro), a 13 MP selfie camera, and a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 25W wired charging (zero to 50% advertised to take 30 minutes). Color options will be blue, black, and gray. It's IP54 certified for dust and splash resistance, and comes with a promise of 6 major Android updates and 6 years of security patches. Keep in mind, however, that it will be launching with Android 15 on board, so the first one of those six updates will be Android 16. The back is made from glass fiber reinforced polymer, which is advertised as being stronger compared to the "Glastic" on the A16 5G. In the box will be a 25W charger, a USB Type-C cable, a SIM ejection tool, and a Quick Start Guide. Note that the presence of the charger in the box may vary depending on market. Compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy A17 5G is thinner and lighter, has a different chipset, and added OIS to the main camera. The design is changed too for the camera island, which is now one oval thing and not three separate round ones. That's about it, and this is definitely not the biggest upgrade. Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ in for review
When you think of Galaxy S25 Edge alternatives, your mind doesn't immediately jump to the Infinix Hot 60 Pro+, but maybe it should. This phone is a much closer match to the thin Galaxy than you'd think. At just 5.95mm, it's only slightly thicker than the S25 Edge (5.8mm). The Infinix is lighter, though, at just 155g, and it has a substantially larger 5,160mAh battery. What should sting Galaxy fans more is that the Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ also has faster 45W charging. The Hot 60 Pro+ is also a more colorful phone, coming in at no less than seven colorways - Coral Tides, Misty Violet, Cyber Green, Sonic Yellow, as well as the more conservative Titanium Silver and Sleek Black. This green model has what Infinix calls a Scent Weave Leather finish. It's a textured surface with a grippy feel, and it feels excellent to the touch. The Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ feels like a blade in the hand. Its curved front and rear panels are joined by a thin frame, making the package feel very refined. A thin frame The Hot 60 Pro+ looks very similar to the Hot 60 Pro from the front and back. But it's the profile that distinguishes the two. While the Pro+ has curving front and rear panels and a thin frame with rounded corners, the Pro has flat panels and a wide, flat side frame.
