NFL legend Adrian Peterson caught on camera in violent fight leaving multiple people bloodied and bruised

Daily Mail2 days ago

Footage has emerged of former Minnesota Vikings superstar running back Adrian Peterson getting into a fist fight during a poker game in Houston, Texas last month.
The video, obtained by TMZ, shows the 40-year-old Peterson squaring up with a fellow poker player over a hand at the JokerStars social club back on May 27.
Peterson told TMZ that he and a friend were involved in a disagreement while at a table.
Eventually, 'one thing led to another' and the pair raised their fists at each other.
Video shows Peterson and his buddy throwing punches for several seconds, despite one person trying to separate them.
The former running back ate a number of punches to the face at the beginning of the scrap, but he eventually got back at his counterpart with some haymakers.
TMZ says that bloody wounds were visible on the faces of both people involved. However, Peterson claims his injury came from falling into a chair rather than a punch.
While alcohol was involved, Peterson told the outlet that wasn't the only reason the situation escalated.
"Me and the guy, we're cool," Peterson said. "We've known each other. It was literally like a brother situation. We agreed to disagree, we had our words, and we threw blows -- and that was it."
Peterson added: 'I felt really bad. It's a situation where I kind of regret it.'
The outlet says that police were not called and are not investigating. The club did not punish either person involved.
This is not the first time that Peterson has gotten violent with someone else - having previously been charged win the cases of two domestic disputes.
In 2014, Peterson pled no contest to a misdemeanor charge of recklessly assaulting his son after using a tree branch - known as a 'switch' to beat him on his back, buttocks, genitals, ankles, and legs as a punishment. Peterson was punished in a similar manner in his own childhood.
The running back was put on probation and fined $4,000 while avoiding a jail sentence. The NFL placed him on unpaid suspension until spring 2015.
In February 2022, he was arrested by the LAPD for a domestic violence incident with his wife on a flight from Los Angeles to Houston. After posting bond, his wife said that he did not put his hands on her - rather they had a verbal argument. The charges were dropped.
Two months ago, Peterson was arrested for fourth-degree DWI. He was traveling 83mph in a 55mph zone with a blood-alcohol content of .14.
Peterson is likely bound for the Hall-of-Fame after winning Offensive Rookie of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year, and MVP in his career.
In addition to the Vikings, he played for the New Orleans Saints, Arizona Cardinals, Washington Redskins, Detroit Lions, Tennessee Titans, and Seattle Seahawks.
He holds the record for most rushing yards in an NFL game with 296.

Chelsea's Jackson apologises for red card at Club World Cup

PHILADELPHIA, June 21 (Reuters) - Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson has apologised to his team mates and fans for his red card in the team's 3-1 loss to Flamengo at the Club World Cup on Friday. Jackson had been on the pitch for only four minutes in the second half when he was shown a straight red for a nasty studs-up challenge on Ayrton Lucas, his second red card in four matches. "I want to say sorry. To the club, the staff, my team mates, and all the fans watching, I let you down," Jackson, who turned 24 on Friday, wrote on Instagram. "Another red card... and honestly, I'm so angry at myself. I work very hard every day to help the team not to put us in this kind of situation. I still don't fully understand how it happened. But one thing is clear: it wasn't intentional. Just a football moment that went the wrong way. "No excuses. I take full responsibility. I'll reflect, I'll grow, and I'll come back stronger for the badge and for everyone who believes in me. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry." Jackson will serve a minimum one-game suspension. Chelsea next face Esperance Sportive de Tunis on Wednesday. Jackson was sent off against Newcastle in a Premier League game last month for a similar challenge. Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca said: "It's a little bit of a bad moment for Nico in this kind of things. Unfortunately now he will be out for a while, the time that we are here." Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella said that Jackson had apologised to his team mates after the game. "He's very sad," Cucurella said. "He's a young player with a lot of quality but maybe needs to improve a little bit in these things."

Dublin firefighter rape trial: Boston judge declares mistrial after jury unable to reach verdict

The trial of Dublin firefighter Terence Crosbie, who is accused of raping an American woman in a Boston hotel room, resulted in a hung jury following 22 hours of deliberations. Mr Crosbie (38) was in the US city with work colleagues as part of St Patrick's Day celebrations on March 14th last year. Advertisement His trial, in which he pleads not guilty, began in the Suffolk County Courthouse in Boston on June 9th before presiding judge Sarah Weyland Ellis. After more than 22 hours of deliberation over four days, the jury of eight men and four women were unable to reach a decision. Judge Ellis declared a mistrial. Mr Crosbie's next trial is due to take place on October 14th. After declaring the mistrial, Judge Ellis increased his bail from $10,000 to $50,000, declaring him a flight risk. According to The Boston Globe, Judge Ellis added: 'The state of the evidence is no longer speculative in this case." Advertisement It is alleged that on March 14th last year Mr Crosbie raped the now 29-year-old woman at the Omni Parker House, a hotel in downtown Boston. Mr Crosbie had flown to Boston from Ireland on the same day of the alleged incident with colleagues and that he was scheduled to leave the following Tuesday, March 18th. Mr Crosbie was sharing a hotel room with a fellow firefighter, whom the victim said she had consensual sex with after meeting earlier in the Black Rose pub. They subsequently fell asleep in separate beds. The victim alleged that she woke in the early hours of the following day to another man sexually assaulting her, and identifying him to police as the defendant. A week ago, Mr Crosbie gave evidence in which he insisted that he had, 'done nothing wrong. 100 per cent I didn't do this. I had no physical or verbal contact with her [the plaintiff] at all.' Advertisement In evidence, the woman described waking up to someone raping her. 'What are you doing? Stop!' the woman told police she said to the man, according to a police report. After the alleged assault, she said Crosbie followed her around the hotel room, trying to kiss her, and pushed her against the wall as she gathered her clothes to leave. Defense counsel contend that Mr Crosbie did not rape the woman and that his DNA was not found on her. The Dublin man's defence team repeatedly asked the woman about her account of events focusing on aspects of her story they claim changed. Mr Crosbie has been detained at Nashua Street jail in Boston since his arrest last year. He had attempted to get on an earlier flight back to Ireland on March 15th.

Lizzo baffles fans with bizarre first pitch at Dodgers game after opening up about Ozempic use

Lizzo was on hand with an unusual first pitch before the Los Angeles Dodgers' game against the San Diego Padres on Thursday. After being invited to take part in the traditional pregame ceremony at Dodger Stadium, the 37-year-old singer left fans baffled with her strange approach to pitching. She first took her place on the mound as Dodgers star Mookie Betts waited in preparation to take the catch, only to run forward while pretending to throw the ball twice. Lizzo then turned around and ran back to the mound, before finally throwing a pitch into Betts which bounced before finding his glove. A number of fans were left confused by her two fake throws, with one writing on X: 'The longest, most pointless and stupidest first pitch ever'. Another commented: 'So stupid. Stop trying to make it about you'. While a third simply asked: 'What the f*** is this?' Others, however, saw the funny side of Lizzo's twist on pitching. 'Love it,' one fan commented while another said 'still better than 50 Cent', referencing the rapper's infamous first pitch at a 2014 New York Mets game, widely considered one of the worst of all time. Lizzo just threw out a very interesting first pitch at Dodger Stadium 🤣 — Dodgers Nation (@DodgersNation) June 20, 2025 This comes after she admitted to briefly using Ozempic to aid in her extreme weight loss transformation. Lizzo talked about her Ozempic use during Thursday's episode of Trisha Paytas's Just Trish podcast. The singer revealed she started to take the GLP-1 medication at the beginning of her weight loss journey in 2023, but soon came to the conclusion that it wouldn't help her in the long term. Lizzo said: 'I tried everything. Ozempic works because you eat less food, yeah? So if you eat right, it makes you feel full. But if you can just do that on your own and get mind over matter, it's the same thing.' Many of her fans turned on her after she 'lied' for months and previously denied Ozempic allegations, claiming she achieved her much slimmer figure through 'weight lifting and calorie deficit'. She also added that she started getting results when she stopped being vegan after many years of not eating meat. Lizzo explained: 'What did it for me is, it was not being vegan. Because when I was vegan, I was consuming a lot of fake meats. I was eating a lot of bread. I was eating a lot of rice and I had to eat a lot of it to stay full. 'When I started actually eating whole foods and eating, like, beef and chicken and fish, I was actually full and not expanding my stomach by putting a lot of fake things in there that wasn't actually filling me up.' Criticism: Social media users reacted strongly to her Ozempic confession Supportive: However, other fans praised her for admitting it despite previously denying the rumors
