What Happened Today on Bold and the Beautiful May 27: Hope Said Yes!

Yahoo01-06-2025
The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Tuesday, May 27 saw Carter waiting with bated breath for Hope's answer, Liam and Finn bonding, and Ridge wanting a serious explanation.
Liam (Scott Clifton) spent his evening with Kelly playing cards and showing her all the love he possibly could. Kelly was over-the-moon and said so much to Finn (Tanner Novlan) when he showed up. They all agreed Liam living there was a great thing and hoped it would never end.
Later, after Kelly went to bed, the men had a talk. Liam wondered if Finn had told his family – specifically Li (Naomi Matsuda) and was glad to hear Finn was the one person who was tight lipped. Liam was worried about how long he could keep this all a secret. He's going to start looking sickly soon and they'll notice. He didn't know how to tell them….or how to say goodbye to his precious daughters. Finn then brought up the treatments Grace (Cassandra Creech) proposed. Liam still wasn't sure what he wanted. He was more concerned with putting everyone else's lives right before considering his health.

Meanwhile, Carter was good and ready to put his ring on Hope's finger but she wasn't exactly rushing to slide it on. He was all smiles until he realized she was reluctant, especially when she brought up trust and being cautious with her heart. They just got back together two seconds ago and she pointed out this was a big step. Carter wondered if she was even willing to take that leap. If Carter had it his way, he's marry her right then and there.
Carter took the ring out of the box and held it up for her to see. Hope confessed she saw herself marrying Carter one day…or at least she did before everything fell apart with the coup. Carter pushed back and vowed to be the husband she wants, needs, and deserves. He promised her the world and that was enough for Hope to finally say yes!
All the while, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) showed up at the office to find Taylor (Rebecca Budig) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) dishing on Hope and of course, he had questions. Why did his daughter go from hating the woman to advocating for her? He was truly and utterly confused. Steffy tried to keep her explanation brief and light and simply say she and Hope are raising the flag and trying to get along. Ridge did not believe her. And, he was right. There was much more to this story.
Ridge's next concern was what they'd even do with Hope around the office. Bringing back her line wasn't on the table yet. Steffy wasn't sure what her role will be but they'd find something. Steffy wasn't looking to put things back to the way they were, she just wanted peace and harmony…and for Hope to be happy. The confused Ridge more than anything.

Dante and Vergil Meet Again in ‘Devil May Cry' Season 2 Teaser

With the rift machine destroyed in Devil May Cry season one, thanks to Dante (Johnny Yong Bosch), the demon hunter's down-on-his-luck fate appeared to be turning around after being humanity's salvation. That was, of course, until the shocking reveal that his brother was still alive. The latest teaser for the Adi Shankar and Netflix animated series drops more surprises for season two. Dante's brother, Vergil (Robbie Daymond), is back, and this time he's working with the demons after the defeat of the White Rabbit terrorist organization. While Dante is frozen, Vergil wreaks havoc on America for nuking the Demonworld, which sets the stage for quite the family reunion. The way battles lay waste to both the demon and human worlds seems never-ending as Dante returns to the fray with raised familial stakes. The trailer shows the long-coated and dramatic exchange comes to a clash of weapons of blood versus blood. As their brotherhood stands diametrically opposed as foes, the story from the Capcom game you thought you knew might be reimagined in a new thrilling way when it returns in 2026. At least that's Shankar's hope, as he recently told Deadline, 'I approached this as a new continuity. So, it's not a remake, it's not a rehash, but in some ways it's closer to a retelling. And that's the thing I do across all my stuff. If you watch even the short films on YouTube, it's always like there's the IP and then there's the Adi Shankar spin on the IP. I wanted my show to feel like Devil May Cry, to take the spirit of DMC, but I thought of it as like Marvel's Ultimate Universe, or even X-Men: The Animated Series, like reinterpretations that preserve the emotional core while restructuring the mythology to suit a new medium. Essentially the foundation remains, but the scaffolding has been rebuilt to support long-form storytelling in a serialized, animated format for streaming television.' Shankar continued, 'It's a new universe, but it is one constructed from a complete obsessive understanding of canon, right? Both the public-facing story and the deeper internal mythology that's only known to Capcom, because you get access to all of that and just kind of absorb it even more. And you become even more of a super fan because you've gotten to peek behind the curtain. So, then, my job as creator-showrunner is franchise architect for the DMC universe on Netflix. It's to essentially take the full spectrum of knowledge and build something that respects the past while unlocking new narrative possibilities.' Devil May Cry season two is coming in 2026; season one is streaming on Netfilx now. Want more io9 news? Old Dominion plays Minnesota State Fair ahead of latest album release

The sights and sounds of country band Old Dominion lit up the Grandstand at the Minnesota State Fair on Thursday, and WCCO got to sit down with the band hours before they took the stage. "They should expect to see a band very joyous and happy to be playing up there. It's a big night for us," said Trevor Rosen. It's a big night for a big album release. Their latest album, "Barbara," drops on Friday. "It took a lot of writing. A lot of writing and soul searching," they said about the new record. "Initially, it was to entertain ourselves. We thought it would be really fun to name the album off of a person's name. I don't think we realized it would take off like it has." Fans at their activation booth were psyched. "Super psyched. I've seen Old Dominion like six times," said Jill Waldmann, who flew from New York for the show. And it's not Old Dominion's first time at the Great Minnesota Get-Together. "I remember playing at the free stage before," said Matthew Ramsey. "Carrie Underwood was playing [the Grandstand]... I think there was a bluegrass band that played before us." Now that they have superfans like Carrie Underwood. "Thank you for giving us this life," Rosen said. "We always want people to take what they need. Once we put music out, it's theirs, not our's anymore," Ramsey said.
