Kyuhyun Outsmarts Kim Jong Kook With His Ultra-Frugal Lifestyle - You Won't Believe How Little He Spends Every Month!
If you thought your friend who bargains for every pani puri was stingy, wait till you hear about Kyuhyun from Super Junior! The K-pop idol is none other than Kim Jong Kook!
On a recent show, Kyuhyun casually dropped the bomb that his monthly credit card bill is less than ₩500,000-that's just about ₹29,000! For context, that's what a lot of college students in India spend on weekend Zomato orders and random online shopping sprees.
But Kyuhyun? He's out here living the ultimate budget life, and honestly, it's kind of iconic.
Fashion on a Budget: Kyuhyun's ₹1,200 Trousers
So, how does he do it? Kyuhyun revealed his secret: he buys shirts online for just ₩15,000 (around ₹900) each, and gets them in every color. His gym wardrobe? Just a rainbow of these bargain shirts. Kim Jong Kook, ever the gym bro, couldn't resist poking fun: "Why do you wear shirts to the gym? I've never seen you in workout clothes!" Turns out, Kyuhyun even wears cotton trousers (not even track pants!) to the gym, and they're just ₩20,000 a pair-about ₹1,200.
Imagine walking into your local gym in formal slacks because you refuse to buy athleisure. That's some next-level jugaad, and honestly, it's the kind of thriftiness every Indian student with a tight budget can relate to.
Why Are Celebs So Relatable Sometimes?
It's not every day you see a celebrity openly brag about buying cheap clothes and keeping their spending lower than your average IT intern. In a world where stars flaunt luxury brands and million-rupee watches, Kyuhyun's "middle-class hero" vibes are a breath of fresh air.

It's like when you see your favorite Bollywood actor eating street food or riding the metro-suddenly, they feel a little more like us.
And let's be real: who hasn't bought the same T-shirt in five colors during a sale, or worn their "good" trousers to every possible occasion just to avoid spending extra? Kyuhyun's thriftiness is a reminder that you don't need to burn a hole in your pocket to look good (or hit the gym).

Shefali Jariwala's 'Kaanta Laga' lands in controversy as singer Sona Mohapatra calls it 'a smutty video'
Singer Sona Mohapatra has found herself at the center of a social media storm after posting a critical message on Instagram in the wake of Shefali Jariwala 's death. In her post, Mohapatra expressed displeasure at director duo Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru's statement "retiring" the 2002 remix of Kaanta Laga , which featured Jariwala. She questioned their authority to make such a declaration and criticised the nature of the music video that made Shefali famous. Sona Questions Remix Ownership According to Sona, the true creators of Kaanta Laga were legendary composer R.D. Burman, lyricist Majrooh Sultanpuri, and singer Lata Mangeshkar, who brought the original track to life in the 1972 film Samadhi. She accused Rao and Sapru of using Shefali's death for publicity and dismissed the remix as a "smutty" reinterpretation made without the consent of the original creators. Referring to the 2002 remix video as "a smutty video with a 19-year-old," she acknowledged Jariwala's passing but framed it as a footnote rather than a tribute, writing, 'RIP and all for the 42-year-old lady, but legacy?' Sona Mohapatra's Instagram Story Internet Reacts Strongly to Tone and Timing The internet, especially Reddit users, reacted strongly to Mohapatra's post, with many accusing her of being insensitive and disrespectful. One user commented that the post lacked compassion and questioned why Sona refused to even mention Shefali's name. Others highlighted the inappropriateness of criticising someone who had just passed and could no longer respond to such remarks. Some fans pointed out the irony that Mohapatra had herself been part of similarly stylized remixes, such as Kabhi Aar Kabhi Paar, which featured a provocative video starring Deepal Shaw. This led to accusations of hypocrisy from commenters, who noted the similarity in both the style and tone of the videos. Following Jariwala's sudden demise due to cardiac arrest, directors Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru paid tribute to her by announcing that they would never make a sequel to Kaanta Laga. They credited Shefali for owning the identity of the 'Kaanta Laga girl' and stated that the song belonged to her legacy. Their message aimed to honor her contribution to pop culture and expressed that she would remain the face of that iconic moment. Shefali's Rise and Untimely Demise Shefali Jariwala rose to fame with the Kaanta Laga remix, which became a cultural phenomenon in the early 2000s. Despite appearing in only a handful of projects afterward—largely due to her struggle with epilepsy—she remained a recognizable face in Indian pop culture, with appearances on television shows like Bigg Boss and Nach Baliye. She died at the age of 42, reportedly due to cardiac arrest at her Mumbai home. While Mohapatra's intent may have been to spotlight the contributions of original artists, the lack of empathy in her tone and the timing of her remarks have overshadowed that message. The conversation has now shifted from the song's legacy to the ethics of commentary following a public figure's death.

When Salman Khan chose 'Race 3' over 'Be Happy'; A missed heartfelt hit
Initially envisioned for Salman Khan, 'Be Happy', a heartfelt dance drama, took a detour when he chose 'Race 3'. Producer Ramesh Taurani revealed Salman's inclination towards the action-packed film put 'Be Happy' on hold. Years later, the film found new life with Abhishek Bachchan in the lead. Fans were surprised to see Abhishek Bachchan in a tender, emotional role as a single father in the recently released film 'Be Happy'. But what many don't know is that this heartfelt dance drama was originally written with Salman Khan in mind. Yes, long before Abhishek stepped in, it was Salman who was deeply involved in developing Be Happy alongside director Remo D'Souza. Back then, the project was gearing up to be a major emotional turn for Salman, a story about a father who would go to any lengths to fulfill his daughter's dream of dancing. It was a fresh genre for the superstar, and it had the potential to show a softer, more grounded side of him on screen. But fate had other plans. Why He Walked Away: 'The Race 3' Detour According to producer Ramesh Taurani who shared to News18 in an interview, the reason 'Be Happy' was put on hold was because Salman became more inclined toward 'Race 3', a high-octane, action-packed film that promised commercial success. The cast of Be Happy at the time had even included Daisy Shah and Jacqueline Fernandez , both of whom later went on to star in 'Race 3' instead. Unfortunately, while 'Race 3' turned out to be one of the most trolled films of Salman's career, Be Happy found a second life, years later, with a new cast and fresh vision. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Is your tinnitus getting worse? As per a report by Bollywood Hungama, a source close to the producer, Namit Malhotra, have confirmed that Ramayana Franchise is being designed on a budget of Rs 1600 crores. The source said, 'While Ramayana 1 is being made on a budget of Rs 900 crore, the second part of Ramayana has a cost of Rs 700 crore. The source added that the entire team is confident about recovering the investment and even making profits because the aim is to get into the global audience. Therefore it's vital to offer a global project with amazing visuals. Ramayana was produced by Namit Malhotra of DNEG and Prime Focus Studios, in collaboration with Yash's Monster Mind Creations. The makers are not dividing the cost between Part One and Two. Ranbir Kapoor stars as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Mata Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Yash as Ravan, Kajal Aggarwal as Mandodari, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Adinath Kothare as Bharath, Arun Govil as King Dasharath, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Sheeba Chaddha as Manthara, Rakul Preet as Shurpanakha, Vivek Oberoi as Vidyutjiva, Kunal Kapoor as Indra Dev, and others. The first section of the Ramayana will be released on Diwali 2026, followed by the second installment on Diwali 2027.
