Regina 'Gina' Marie Williams Baccigalopi
Born on Jan. 19, 1967, in Sulphur, La., Gina was a proud graduate of Sulphur High School, Class of 1985, and earned her degree in Education from McNeese State University in 2000.
Gina touched countless lives during her years as a high school educator in New Caney, Texas until returning to Louisiana in 2008.
She had a deep love for gardening, camping, and what she fondly called 'garage sailing' always on the lookout for hidden treasures and good stories along the way. Gina was also a lifelong lover of the arts. She danced from the age of eight and never lost her passion for movement and music. A devoted theatergoer, she was a season ticket holder to Theatre Under the Stars in Houston for over 20 seasons. Her favorite production was CATS, and one of her fondest memories was being invited on stage to dance with Rum Tum Tugger.
Gina's love of music was just as strong. She found joy and connection in the sounds of her favorite artists, especially The Black Crowes and her 'soul sister,' Janis Joplin.
Gina is survived by her loving husband, Glenn Baccigalopi; her father, Eugene (Ginger) Williams, and her brothers, Michael (Tanya) Williams and Chad (Kimberly) Williams; step-daughter Chelse (Dustin) Willis, and grandchildren Maddox, Miles, Monroe and Mari. She was a cherished aunt to Alexandra, Katelyn, Eden, Evan, Elliot, Drew, Dylan, Quinn, and Cameron Williams, and a beloved great-aunt to Eleanor, Olivia, and Kinsley Williams.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sandra Ann Denton Williams.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in her honor at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Fenton, La., on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at 10 a.m. The Rev. Jom Joseph, Celebrant. Cremation will follow the service under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Pallbearers assisting in her service are Evan Williams, Elliot Williams, Drew Williams, Clint Brightwell, Cody Caldwell and James DeRouen.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Gina's name to the charity of your choice.
Gina will be remembered for her love of God, generous heart, joyful presence, and the love she shared so freely with her family, friends, students, and all who were lucky enough to know her, and we will all miss her very much.

Deftones Might Land Their First No. 1 Charting Album In 2025
NUERBURG, GERMANY - JUNE 07: Chino Moreno of the band Deftones performs live on stage with the band ... More Crosses at the annual Rock Am Ring festival at Nuerburgring on June 07, 2024 in Nuerburg, Germany. (Photo by Gina Wetzler/Redferns) Deftones have climbed to new heights in recent years, and they've quickly become one of the metal genre's most relevant bands. Between the renaissance in both nu metal and shoegaze music, Deftones have been at the epicenter of multiple resurgences. The band is currently seeing the highest monthly streaming numbers of their career, on top of performing to sold-out arenas on their biggest headline shows to date. A lot of this recent success is a direct result of Gen Z's infatuation with the band and early 2000s nostalgia. Deftones' music is omnipresent on TikTok and social media platforms, and the reverence for them is palpable within the metal and alternative music communities. Deftones' New Music Is Already Climbing The Charts With the band announcing their 10th studio album Private Music, slated to release on August 22, there are already promising signs that this could become Deftones' first No.1 charting album. Not only are the band's streaming numbers at an all-time high with 15.8 million monthly listeners on Spotify, but the first single for Private Music is already climbing the charts. The new single 'my mind is a mountain' climbed to No. 1 on the Hot Hard Rock Songs and Hard Rock Streaming Songs charts, marking an all time high for Deftones on both charts. Earlier this year, the like-minded alt-metal outfit Sleep Token managed to achieve the same feat with the singles off their latest No. 1 charting LP, Even In Arcadia. Sleep Token's Success Shows A Clear Path For Deftones The unprecedented success seen by metal's latest sensational act Sleep Token is in many ways indicative of the success Deftones could see with their upcoming LP. Sonically, Deftones and Sleep Token both fit within the alternative metal sub-genre that's become so popular among Gen Z. Unlike Sleep Token, who only just released their fourth studio album, Deftones have been around for over three decades, and much of their recent resurgence is also tied to their nu metal background. However, Sleep Token's unbridled success is connected to Deftones' resurgence in that they both share a fanbase within Gen Z. This audience has played a massive part in making Deftones and Sleep Token so relevant on social media and especially on TikTok. While it's not the primary reason for either band's recent success, it's hard to imagine Sleep Token raking in their first No. 1 charting album if it weren't for their Gen Z fans. Provided Deftones are more popular and have a more multi-generational fanbase than Sleep Token, there's nothing stopping Deftones from landing their first No. 1 charting album as well. Deftones' Album Charting History Throughout their career Deftones have had several records climb to the top of the Billboard Top 200, but they've never had an album reach No. 1. In fact, the band has had four albums debut within the top 5 and several reach the top 10 – 2020's Ohms debuted at No. 5, 2016's Gore charted at No. 2, their self-titled 2003 LP landed at No. 2, and their critically acclaimed LP White Pony reached No. 3. With the charting success of the first single for their upcoming record, there are strong indicators that Private Music could finally earn Deftones their first No. 1 charting LP. However, their charting history is rather inconsistent, especially between their last three albums – 2011's Koi No Yokan debuted at No. 11, which was followed by 2016's Gore at No. 2, and then 2020's Ohms at No. 5. Despite the inconsistent charting positions, none of the previous LPs were released during the resurgence that Deftones is experiencing, which currently has Deftones at a career-high 15.8 million monthly listeners. For reference, Sleep Token doesn't even have half the monthly listener count of Deftones, and they still managed to get a No. 1 charting LP with 127,000 equivalent album units in the first week. The stars are aligned and more importantly the fans are in line and awaiting Deftones' 10th LP. There really isn't quite another band from the late 90s' to early 2000s' metal scene that has had a resurgence quite as monolithic as Deftones, making them a prime candidate for a No. 1 charting record this year. Based on the streaming numbers alone, Deftones have the best chance they've ever had at finally reaching this feat.

Mama Cat 'Too Busy Serving Face' To Nurse Is Such a Mood
Mama Cat 'Too Busy Serving Face' To Nurse Is Such a Mood originally appeared on Parade Pets. Being a parent is a nonstop, 24/7 thrill ride that leaves little room for non-children-related things, especially when they're young and needy and you're exhausted. It almost feels like the most stressful (but exciting!) roller-coaster ride with no off-ramp — just ups and downs forever! That's why it's important to practice self-care whenever possible, whatever that means. For one mama cat named Luna, the self-care option she chose on this particular day is small, but necessary for keeping her sanity. Just 10 seconds of zoning out could mean the difference between holding herself together... or not. And you know what? Good for her! Anyone with kids can probably recognize that spaced-out expression because it's universal. The fatigue from no sleep and caring for little ones day and night really wears on parents, so if Luna needs a moment to go blank, let her! The tiny kitten, which is one of three, is doing just fine. Her name is Rosie, and she's Mommy's little copy + paste baby who loves to snuggle up. Sure, Luna took a few beats to melt her stress away, but Rosie knows Mom will be there to care for her whenever she snaps out of it! The now-viral video of Mom and baby gained a lot of traction in a short time, and I think it's because it really is that relatable! More than 13k people took to the comments to support Luna, and some are off-the-wall hilarious."Hold on, Dear, there's a camera," one person joked. "God forbid a girl continues to be a baddie even with kids," another wrote. "Mother AIN'T mothering today," another fan added. With beauty like hers, you can't expect Luna to stop delivering. She can't, and she won't. It's her gift to the world, whether her children appreciate that or not. Besides, she does an amazing job providing for her babies and has since the day they entered the world. Rosie will understand one day that she has a model for a mother and sometimes serving face is necessary. Her identity can be both mother AND diva, OK? For all the parents going through what Luna's going through, hang in there. They don't stay little forever, but you still need those small moments for yourself. Whether you use it to serve the camera with your gift or hide in the bathroom for 5 minutes to collect yourself, you do you! 🐶🐾🐾 Mama Cat 'Too Busy Serving Face' To Nurse Is Such a Mood first appeared on Parade Pets on Jul 26, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade Pets on Jul 26, 2025, where it first appeared.
