Taylor Swift's Home Caught In The Mix Of An Unsettling Discovery That Has Sparked Serial Killer Fears

Yahoo15-05-2025
Taylor Swift may have cause for concern as human remains were discovered close to her Rhode Island home, prompting an investigation by local authorities.
Locals are already speculating that a serial killer may be on the loose, although authorities have said they don't believe that's the case.
Meanwhile, Taylor Swift seemingly has a lot on her plate already as she's been dragged deeply into close pal Blake Lively's legal battle with actor Justin Baldoni.
A grisly discovery near the sprawling Rhode Island mansion of Taylor Swift has prompted an active investigation by local authorities.
According to WJAR, authorities discovered a human leg bone in Westerly on Wednesday around 9:30 am near Everett Avenue, which isn't far from Swift's famed Holiday House.
A local who saw police and medical examiners on site told the news outlet that a leg bone was discovered, and that "finding a leg is very suspicious." The bone was subsequently sent off to the Rhode Island Medical Examiner's Office for further investigation.
The news has sparked shock and concern among residents as the area is generally considered to be free from crime, much less murder.
"I'm more aware of my surroundings. I don't go [to] places that are kind of dim or where I could be alone. Just trying to stay out in public and be vigilant," a local identified as Taylor Day said.
Speculations are rife concerning what could possibly have caused a human leg to be discovered in such a manner. According to the news outlet, residents are already suggesting a serial killer could be on the loose, although cops say that's most likely not the case.
"My mind immediately went to all the theories that are being thrown around," Day told WJAR, referring to the rumors suggesting there's a New England serial killer on the rampage as 13 sets of remains have been found in Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts since March.
According to Fox News, five have been found in Connecticut and Massachusetts, while three have been found in Rhode Island, with police saying there's no connection between the bodies that have been found.
"From what I've seen or heard, first and foremost, not enough is being put out there, so we'll continue to create that serial killer idea," former FBI agent Scott Duffey told the news outlet.
The "Blank Space" hitmaker seemingly has a lot on her plate already as she's been dragged into the messy court battle between "It Ends With Us" costars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.
Lively accused Baldoni of sexually harassing her on the set of the Colleen Hoover movie adaptation, but the actor denied it and filed a $400 million countersuit, where he accused her and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, of trying to wrestle creative control of the film from him.
Baldoni also name-dropped Swift in his suit when he claimed Lively likened herself to "Game Of Thrones" character Khaleesi, and referred to Swift and Reynolds as her "dragons."
The "Bad Blood" singer has now been subpoenaed to answer questions related to the case.
Baldoni's lawyer, Bryan Freedman, recently claimed in a letter that a member of Lively's legal team tried to extort Swift into releasing a statement of support for the actress.
"Michael Gottlieb of Willkie Farr, counsel for the Lively Defendants, contacted a Venable attorney who represents Ms. Swift and demanded that Ms. Swift release a statement of support for Ms. Lively, intimating that, if Ms. Swift refused to do so, private text messages of a personal nature in Ms. Lively's possession would be released," Freedman claims in his letter.
However, in a statement shared with Variety, Gottlieb slammed the accusation as "categorically false" and "cowardly sourced to supposed anonymous sources, and completely untethered from reality."
The judge presiding over the lawsuit, Judge Lewis J. Liman, has since struck out the allegation from Baldoni's lawyer, branding it "irrelevant, improper, and inflammatory."
Meanwhile, Swift is enjoying her time together with boyfriend Travis Kelce, who's preparing to return for the new season with the Kansas City Chiefs. The couple has reportedly been staying out of the spotlight and is both paying attention to their health and lifestyle.
"Taylor is an amazing cook, and she is really great at desserts. Travis doesn't have the most healthy diet in the world, but these days, while he might sneak in one of her pop tarts, it is not in excess," a source shared, per the Daily Mail.
They continued, "And it's the same when it comes to drinking. He isn't partying, he's getting ready for the season. If there are drinks nearby, he isn't going to stay away, but it is never a must-have with dinner or outings. Nor is he going out on his porch and throwing back a couple. If they get back to the promised land, then you'll see him partying."
The insider added that Swift and Kelce "are just both decompressing from that go-go-go style of life and enjoying days together with as little stress as possible."

Turley hails Trump's 'tremendous victory' after civil fraud penalty tossed, blasts 'grotesque' use of NY law

Print Close By Taylor Penley Published August 21, 2025 An appellate court handed President Trump a "tremendous victory" on Thursday, tossing out the $500 million civil fraud penalty levied against him in the high-profile case brought forth by state Attorney General Letitia James in a move constitutional law attorney Jonathan Turley described as "long overdue." "This entire effort [was] a grotesque use of this New York law," he said on "The Faulkner Focus." "No one lost money in this case. The banks actually wanted more business from President Trump… It was an effort by Letitia James to have a trophy win against Trump." NY APPEALS COURT THROWS OUT $500M PENALTY AGAINST TRUMP IN LETITIA JAMES CIVIL CASE "What this opinion has done is to reduce what was a mounted marlin to something of a guppy," he added. Turley told guest host Aishah Hasnie the decision is "good news" for the New York court system, which he argued had lost credibility during the legal process against Trump. "Many of us stood there in disbelief that James was allowed to do this. She succeeded in securing… a very favorable judge… and I want to note that both the judge and James tried to effectively price Trump out of even appealing the case. They insisted that he would have to pony up half a billion dollars just to question what they did in the case, and it was an outrageous effort to effectively price out an appeal," he said. DOJ OPENS GRAND JURY INVESTIGATION INTO LETITIA JAMES TIED TO TRUMP CIVIL CASE "It didn't work, and now we can see that the appellate court said this should never have happened in terms of the fine." Turley concluded by saying that the appellate court delivered a message to the New York business and legal communities that they refuse to allow "raw lawfare." The move does not exonerate the president, however, and the five-member panel upheld findings that Trump and his company were liable — affirming that James acted within her authority and that injunctive relief to curb Trump Organization practices was appropriate. As A Beatles Fan, This Disney+ Release Is The Best News I've Gotten Since I Ditched My VCR

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Few musical acts in the history of pop culture have had quite the impact that the Beatles had. The Fab Four from Liverpool took the world by storm in the 1960s, and the group has been a mainstay of culture and a major influence ever since. Beatles' music is used in film all the time. We're even getting four movies about The Beatles very soon. It was a quarter century after the Beatles broke up that one of the major events in my life took place when I watched The Beatles Anthology special on television. As a teenager, I certainly knew the Beatles, but the Anthology series gave me an appreciation for the band I didn't have before. I became a huge Beatles fan soon after, buying all three albums that were associated with the project, and even getting the full eight-part series on VHS that Christmas. I owned the tapes for years after that, despite no longer owning a VCR to watch them on, but very soon I won't even need one anymore. The Beatles Anthology Is Finally Coming To Streaming On Disney+ All the Beatles' social media accounts had been teasing something big for the last few days, and it all seemed to be associated with The Beatles Anthology, the combination of album and documentary that was created three decades ago. Today, it was officially confirmed that a newly remastered version of the full series, with a brand new ninth episode, will debut on Disney+ on November 26. Needless to say, as somebody who considers this series a major moment in my musical history, I am thrilled. The Beatles Anthology was a remarkably comprehensive documentary, with new interviews from the, at the time, three remaining Beatles. If you want to know everything about one of the most influential bands ever, there's no better way. Alongside the streaming release, The Beatles Anthology music is getting rereleased, with a new fourth album, a new book has been produced, and the 'new' Beatles song 'Free as a Bird' has been remastered. The Disney+ Beatles Anthology Will Contain A New Episode And what's even better as a fan is that The Beatles Anthology has been expanded. Originally an eight-part series, the version hitting Disney+ in November will have a ninth part, which will act as a behind-the-scenes documentary on the production of The Beatles Anthology itself. It's the perfect way to cap everything off. Disney+ has become a fantastic place for music. From Elton John and Taylor Swift concerts to great documentaries on Abby Road and more. If you're a fan of lots of artists its worth having a Disney+ subscription, but perhaps none more than The Beatles. Your Disney+ subscription will already give you Beatles '64 about the band's first trip to America The Beatles: Get Back, Peter Jackson's documentary on the production of the historic Let It Be album, a remastered version of The Beatles: Let It Be documentary film. The Beatles Anthology will go nicely alongside these other pieces of history for serious fans. If there's a downside, it's that I'm about to go broke buying The Beatles on vinyl again.
