‘Love Island USA's Austin Shepard Issues Apology
Let's face it: As far as reality TV seasons go, Love Island USA season 7 is kind of a mess. So it shouldn't come as shock to hear that, since leaving the Villa, Austin Shepard has apologized for his offensive social media posts. But what exactly is he apologizing for, and are fans buying it? Here's what you need to know. Austin has been a controversial Love Island USA contestant since day one, after fans found his social media accounts and noticed some—shall we say—objectionable content. His TikTok, @sidestrokeshep, features reposts of many pro-Trump videos, and one video condoning police violence on peaceful protests. Though Austin hasn't apologized for any specific post, he did issue a blanket statement over the weekend following his dumping from the Villa. 'I want to take a moment to address my recent repost that has caused offense to some of you,' he wrote in a statement shared to his Instagram Stories on Saturday, July 4. 'As you all know, I have a very dry sense of humor, and I genuinely didn't think before sharing that content. It was never my intention to hurt or upset anyone.' He continued, 'I value and respect all individuals and their perspectives. I recognize that my choice of content did not resonate well with everyone, and for that, I sincerely apologize.' He added that he would be 'more mindful in the future.' If it sounds vague, that's because it is. Even fans can't agree on what Austin is even apologizing for. Some believe it's for his TikTok reposts, but others think it was in response to the negative reaction to Austin's Instagram Q&A, in which he answered one fan's question about being 'a racist bigot in the villa.' Speaking directly to camera, he denied the accusation, calling it 'crazy' and insisted that whoever wrote in the question must be 'dumb' because 'I have a Black woman tattooed on my side.' So to recap: Since Austin has returned from the Villa, he has insisted that he can't be racist because of a tattoo and issued a blanket apology that doesn't acknowledge any wrongdoing. Add that to his treatment of our beloved Amaya Papaya (real name: Amaya Espinal), and I'm sorry to say, Austin, you are not beating those Love Island USA villain accusations.

‘The Office' Actor Craig Robinson Claims He's ‘Officially Quitting Comedy' to Focus on His ‘True Calling': ‘I'm Following Something Bigger'
Craig Robinson might be leaving comedy for good. In a recent video post on Instagram, 'The Office' actor revealed that he is giving up comedy to focus on 'something bigger.' In the caption of the post, he wrote, 'Life update: I'm officially quitting comedy to focus on my true calling. Stay tuned. I'm working on something huge.' More from Variety 'The Office' Star Rainn Wilson Says the Show Was a 'Struggle' After Steve Carell Left: 'We Knew it Was Coming For a Long Time' 'The Office' Star Jenna Fischer Says a One-Word Improvisation 'Got Me' the Role of Pam: It Was 'So Scary' Jenna Fischer Says the Later Seasons of 'The Office' Are 'Really Good' Despite 'Belief' that the Show Was 'Treading Water' After Steve Carell's Exit: 'There Were Still These Amazing Storylines' 'Hey, everybody! Just wanted you to hear it from me: I am quitting comedy,' Robinson said in the video. 'But not for nothing. It's been an amazing run, and y'all have been amazing and wonderful, but I'm following something bigger. So, thank you so much, I love you and stay tuned.' However, it seems likely that Robinson's claims are part of a stunt of some kind. In addition to his cheery social media announcements, billboards have popped up in Los Angeles that read 'Craig Robinson Is Quitting Comedy' — a potential indicator that there's a brand deal responsible for the news to build up hype around an upcoming ad campaign. Robinson teased what his next venture might be in a follow-up post, asking for advice about how to start a small business. He wrote in the caption, 'Turns out having a dream and building a business with your friends are two VERY different things. I can't go into detail just yet, but for real though any help would be huge.' Robinson broke out playing warehouse foreman Darryl Philbin across 118 episodes of 'The Office.' Some of his other notable TV credits include 'The Cleveland Show,' 'American Dad,' 'Mr. Robot,' 'What We Do in the Shadows,' 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine,' 'Killing It' and 'Big Mouth.' On the film side, Robinson has appeared in 'Hot Tub Time Machine,' 'This Is the End,' 'Sausage Party,' 'Dolemite Is My Name' and 'The Bad Guys.' Robinson still has a few projects on the horizon before stepping away from comedy. He will soon appear in the Netflix animated adventure 'In Your Dreams' and 'The Bad Guys 2.' 'And Just like That' fans spot major Season 3 plot hole
"And Just Like That" may be forgetting its own characters' backstories. The "Sex and the City" revival, which sees three of four leading ladies reprising their iconic roles, has been on thin ice with its audience since its debut season, drawing criticism from haphazard plot lines and even more haphazard headwear (we're looking at you, Carrie). The discontent flared once again this week when eagle-eyed fans noticed a plot hole involving friend to the main cast Lisa Todd Wexley (Nicole Ari Parker). In an episode airing July 3, Wexley calls Charlotte (Kristin Davis) to inform her that her father has just died suddenly from a stroke. Sarah Jessica Parker tells us about her head-turning 'cloud hat' in 'And Just Like That' Fans were quick to point out, however, that during Season 1, Parker's character revealed that her father had died the previous year. Stitching together the clips on social media to point out the recycled plotline, viewers voiced disbelief, with one social media user writing: "Has 'And Just Like That' completely forgot they killed Lisa's dad off already?" 'And Just Like That...' is still shallow (and just plain silly) in Season 3: Review To add insult to injury, fans also noted that after announcing his death in Season 1, the show seemingly ignored the fact to bring him on as a guest star (played by Billy Dee Williams) for an episode in Season 2, only to kill him off again in Season 3. "Don't forget he was already passed in season 1, and came for dinner in season 2, now he is gone again… not everyone gets that kind of second chance," one user quipped on TikTok. 'And Just Like That' star Cynthia Nixon spills about Rosie O'Donnell's sex-starved nun "Carrie will be having dinner with Big next episode," another wrote, referencing Mr. Big, Carrie's one-time love interest who was killed off during the first season. Chris Noth, the actor playing him, was accused of sexual assault around the time the onscreen death occured. The cast, however, is mourning Lisa's father's death (the second one) for real. "I grew up (watching) Billy Dee Williams, so I was very sad in real life that we wouldn't do any more work together in this series," Sarah Jessica Parker told USA TODAY in a recent interview.
