However, Ring Magazine have now reported the 28-year-old has tragically succumbed to injuries and passed away.
Urakawa's passing comes just a day after fellow Japanese boxer Shigetoshi Kotari also died of injuries sustained during the card.
The WBO confirmed Kotari's passing on Friday, which was six days after his bout with Yamato Hata.
Both fighters had been confirmed to have been taken to hospital by the Japanese Boxing Commission following their fights at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo.

Urakawa had a career of 10 wins with seven KOs and 4 defeats.
Following the death of Kotari, who was also 28, the JBC announced an immediate change to its rules.
It declared that all of its OPBF bouts would be contested over 10 rounds instead of 12 to try and reduce the risk of severe injury.
Regardless, the night of August 2 and the aftermath will be one of the darkest in the modern history of boxing.

He is the third boxer to die of injuries sustained in the ring this year, following Kotari and Irishman John Cooney who passed away in February.
Cooney had died at the age of 28 after suffering an intracranial haemorrhage in his fight against Nathan Howells.

Man Utd hardman Roy Keane shows his softer side with wholesome Instagram post and nine-word message on 54th birthday

Keane celebrated his 54th birthday on Sunday by posting a series of heartwarming photos and videos of himself soaking in some sun alongside his family. Keane was seen sunbathing on an inflatable while wearing glasses. He captioned the post: "Happy Birthday to me. All the gifts I need." And Keane's next pictures and videos showed exactly what those presents were, as Keane showed he is a big softie at heart with his grandchildren. He then shared pics of him playing alongside another of his grandchildren with the sand at the beach. The next pic showed him in the pool with two of them, with Keane all smiles as he hogged an inflatable dragon. One of his grandkids was filmed jumping in the pool next, with Keane delighting as he then picked him up and threw him up in the air. You're nothing but a breath of fresh air." A second fan added: "Imagine your grandad being Roy Keane man." Boxing coach David Coldwell said: "The main man. Happy Birthday!" A fourth fan joked: "Looking after the grandkids? That's his job." A fifth said: "Birthdays? Do me a favour." Keane has revealed he has three grandchildren, but is usually notoriously protective of his private life. The latest member of the Keane family was welcomed in April, with Keane introducing him to the public via a beaming Instagram post. His daughter, Leah, is engaged to one-cap England and Southampton star Taylor Harwood-Bellis. However, the 23-year-old has likely heeded Keane's advice and kept shtum on talking about their private lives too much. Last month, the former Republic of Ireland international was seen signing an autograph for a kid while he attended a game for his hometown team of Cork City. Keane will doubtless have plenty of chances to show off his famous barbed tongue this season when he returns to the studio as a pundit for Sky Sports. His old club, United, always seem to be in the headlines for the wrong reasons in recent years, and many would be shocked if that did not continue despite talk, once again, of the club heading in a new direction. 6 TRANSFER NEWS LIVE - KEEP UP WITH ALL THE LATEST FROM A BUSY SUMMER WINDOW

Arne Slot delivers Liverpool warning as Hugo Ekitike comments speak volumes

Liverpool's Dutch coach Arne Slot wants to see his team improve in defence after the Reds' defeat to Crystal Palace via a penalty shootout in the Community Shield at Wembley Arne Slot warned Liverpool need to be better defensively if they're to reign as kings of England again this season. The Reds lost a penalty shootout to Crystal Palace yesterday after the Eagles came from behind twice to peg back Slot's Premier League champions in the season's curtain-raiser. ‌ Liverpool have splashed the cash this summer with £295m spent on new recruits with more to come - and could even move for Palace defender Marc Guehi. But Slot was not happy with how they've defended during pre-season ahead of their campaign kicking off next Friday. ‌ He said: "We have conceded four against Milan, one against the Japanese team, two against Bilbao and two again today. What made us really strong last season was we mostly won by a goal or a margin of one goal. That had mostly to do with us keeping a clean sheet or at a maximum conceding one goal." ‌ Liverpool are likely to sign a centre-back with Guehi one target while they're also prepared to smash the British transfer record to land Alexander Isak up front. Summer signing Hugo Ekitike did score but after selling Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz, Slot feels they're short of options up front. He said: 'There is not a lot to replace him [Ekitike] with, so if he gets an injury there would not be much to replace him with for Bournemouth, Newcastle and Arsenal so that's why I took him off but he had a good game, that's for sure.' Liverpool and Palace paid tribute to Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva after they were killed in a car crash last month before the game. But the minute's silence was cut short after a small number of Palace fans made noise and then their fellow supporters and the Liverpool crowd tried to shush them. Reds captain Virgil van Dijk said: 'I'm disappointed. There was plenty trying to sushhh it down, but obviously that doesn't help them. It is what it is. You can't control all those fans. "80,000 people, so yeah, it's disappointing to hear that. But if those persons can go home and be happy with themselves, then..' ‌ Slot had a more considered view of the incident. He added: 'I don't think this was planned or it was the idea of the fan that made some noise. Maybe he wasn't aware that it was a minute of silence. He was just still happy and tried to cheer for his team. 'Then the fans of Palace were trying to calm that person or those persons down. I don't think he had a bad intention of the guy or people that made noise." Join our new WhatsApp community and receive your daily dose of Mirror Football content. He's a brilliant boy – Derek McInnes hails Hearts match-winner Stuart Findlay

Hearts took the lead at Tannadice thanks to a Lawrence Shankland spot-kick but were pegged back by a brace from Ivan Dolcek. However, Findlay popped up with an equaliser and then headed home a dramatic last-gasp winner. The towering defender already has four goals to his name this season, with manager McInnes admitting that is a far cry from when he was playing under him on loan at Kilmarnock. McInnes said: 'I couldn't get him to score a goal at Kilmarnock, but I cannot stop him now! Stuart's a brilliant human, he's a brilliant boy. 'First and foremost he's got to do his job well defensively as they all do at the back and I think he does that week in, week out. 'It's actually nice to see him getting a wee bit of a chance to shine and getting a wee bit of applause from that side of it. 'You see the supporters are choking for heroes. 'Stuart's job is to try and stop the other team's better players and he does that time and time again, but it's great for him to score goals.' United boss Jim Goodwin admitted his side's efforts in securing a 2-2 draw away to Rapid Vienna in the Conference League last week, allied to a lengthy injury list, took their toll on his players. He said: 'The second half we didn't offer a great deal going forward. Hearts dominated the ball, but given the situation we're in with seven big players out this afternoon, we've got very little in the way of being able to rotate the squad and freshen things up.' Goodwin, though, is confident his players can bounce back for the second leg at home to Rapid on Thursday night. He added: 'Yes, I think we can. Tannadice is going to be rocking. It'll be a full house, I would imagine. 'The adrenaline, I think, will do enough to get them through the 90 minutes and hopefully do enough to get us into that play-off position.' Goodwin is in the last 10 months of his contract at United, but the Irishman insists he is close to extending his deal. He added: 'I'm in the final year of my contract and conversations are happening at the moment with the chairman and the CEO. Hopefully, that's something we can resolve quickly in the coming days.'
