Islamabad United's Colin Munro and Multan Sultans' captain Mohammad Rizwan have been charged for a Level 2 breach of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Code of Conduct during a heated exchange in Match 10 of the ongoing season.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that Islamabad United batter Colin Munro and Multan Sultans skipper Mohammad Rizwan were fined 30 per cent of their match fees for a Level 2 breach of the HBL PSL Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel.
The incident took place during the 10th over of United's run chase, when Munro, a left-handed batter, made a gesture towards Sultans' bowler Iftikhar Ahmed.
The act sparked a verbal exchange between Munro and Rizwan, who intervened during the on-field confrontation.
Both players were found to have violated Article 2.13 of the code, which deals with 'personal abuse of a player, player support personnel, umpire or match referee during a match.'
The sanctions were handed down by match referee Ali Naqvi after Munro and Rizwan admitted to the offence and accepted the penalties without contest.
The on-field umpires, Ahsan Raza and Chris Brown, levelled the charges against the players immediately following the incident.
The PCB reiterated its commitment to upholding the spirit of the game and maintaining discipline across all matches in the HBL PSL.

He also revealed that planning is underway for Pakistan's first-ever league for physically disabled cricketers, for which significant sponsorship is required. Shabbir stated that he and the entire Memon community stand firmly with the PPDCA. He added that he was highly impressed with the achievements of Ameeruddin Ansari and his team, who have introduced this form of cricket on a global scale. "Today, physical disability cricket is played in many countries around the world, and all the credit goes to Pakistan. This is a matter of great pride for all of us," he concluded.

Pak to make two changes for BD tour
The Pakistan team is expected to have two new additions for the upcoming tour of Bangladesh for a three-match T20I series, which is likely to take place in July. According to reports, left-arm pacer Shaheen Afridi and spinner Sufiyan Muqeem are likely to return to the national side. Holder, Russell return for West Indies

However, Nicholas Pooran will be rested for the tour following his involvement in the IPL. West Indies will face England in three T20Is immediately after their ODI series at The Oval concludes on Tuesday. Following that, they will head to Ireland for another three-match T20I series, although several players and members of the coaching staffincluding Russellwill be rested for the Ireland leg.
