'Massively relieved' Australia score late try to beat Fiji
Australia 21 (14)
Tries: Porecki, McReight, Wilson Cons: Lolesio 2, Donaldson
Fiji 18 (5)
Tries: Rayasi, Tagitagivalu Cons: Muntz Pens: Muntz 2
Captain Harry Wilson's try one minute from full-time denied Fiji a famous win in Australia.
The Wallabies laboured in their only warm-up fixture before their first Test against the British and Irish Lions on 19 July in Brisbane.

Joe Schmidt's side did little to worry Lions head coach Andy Farrell as Fiji - seeking their first win in Australia in more than 70 years - fought back from 14-5 down to lead 18-15 heading into the closing stages.
"Massively relieved, because you want to get a result," Schmidt said.
"But I am disappointed with the performance and I know the players will be looking for more out of themselves, and that has to happen in a very short space of time.
"Thirteen days' time, we won't be afforded the number of errors that Fiji gave us.
"Fiji were superb. Some of the players we knew would be elusive and quick and powerful, and they turned up and were all those things."

Tries by hooker Dave Porecki and flanker Fraser McReight put the hosts in control as half-time approached.
However, debutant Salesi Rayasi, who is a former New Zealand sevens player, produced a wonderful finish to close the gap in the final play of the half.
A forward pass from Ben Donaldson ruled out a third score for Australia early in the second half as Schmidt's side failed to master spirited Fiji.
A stunning break by Jiuta Wainiqolo from deep inside his own half set up Lekima Tagitagivalu for a try to put Mick Byrne's side back within striking distance.
Fly-half Caleb Muntz kicked two penalties to put the Pacific Island side on the brink of another win over Australia, following their 22-15 victory at the 2023 Rugby World Cup.

But Wilson showed great strength to ground the ball under enormous pressure to deny the visitors when they were in sight of victory.
A further area of concern for Australia was the sight of Noah Lolesio, the likely starting fly-half against the Lions, being carried off on a stretcher after a nasty head injury.

Injuries end season for Bomber, No.1 draft pick
Richmond's No.1 draft pick Sam Lalor might need surgery and Nik Cox's concussion history has also ended his AFL season. Lalor re-injured his left hamstring only a couple of minutes into his return on Saturday against Geelong, with the Tigers confirming on Monday his season is over. The AFL's concussion panel, which last month recommended West Coast defender Jeremy McGovern should retire on medical grounds, gave Cox hope he will resume his playing career. While Cox will not play this year due to his concussion problems, the panel gave him a pathway to make an AFL comeback after meeting him last month. Lalor has succumbed to a left hamstring injury for the third time, previously injuring it before he was drafted last year and then in the May Dreamtime at the 'G match against Essendon. The Tigers were cautious, holding him back for a week, but he limped off GMHBA Stadium after tackling Tom Atkins early in the first quarter. "We are all devastated for the young man, and I am sure our fans are too," Richmond high-performance manager Ben Serpell said. "The injury mechanism here for Sam this time was very different to his original injury mechanism. "He sustained the injury in a tackle. I think anyone who throws their body at the game as he did, and credit to him for doing that, is going to put their body at some risk irrespective of their injury history." Given Lalor's terrible injury history, he might undergo surgery on the hamstring. "We are a bit concerned about the integrity of the hamstring structure," Serpell said. "As part of that we will consult a few surgeons over the next little while to see if there is some surgical intervention available for us." Meanwhile, Cox is upbeat about his future after being told by the concussion panel he can resume his AFL career. "While I'm disappointed that I won't return to the field for the remainder of the 2025 season, this time away from the game will be used to focus fully on my health, recovery, and building the strongest possible foundation heading into pre-season," Cox said. "I've learned a lot about myself over the past few months, and I'm more motivated than ever to get back to doing what I love. "My focus now is on continuing to work closely with specialists and the club to make sure I'm in the best place physically and mentally to return to football."

WHAT HAPPENED? Mullin, who enjoys legend status at SToK Racecourse, has linked up with the Latics on a season-long loan. He still has two years left to run on his contract in North Wales, but would appear to have little future with the ambitious Red Dragons. 'Lucky' Adelaide goalsneak sent for surgery
Adelaide forward Josh Rachele has been sent for knee surgery, with an unclear timeline on when he'll play again. The 22-year-old has been cleared of serious ligament damage in his left knee injured in Sunday's win over Melbourne. But scans revealed Rachele tore a tissue at the back of the knee joint and also suffered bone bruising when landing awkwardly in a marking contest. The Crows will have a better understanding of Rachele's outlook post-surgery, the club's fitness boss Darren Burgess says. "He'll have surgery to elevate the bone in his knee and likely be in a brace for a few weeks," Burgess said. "Once out of the brace, we'll progress his training loads from there." Rachele was relieved when allayed of fears he'd torn his anterior cruciate ligament or posterior cruciate ligament. "Worst case scenario, your head goes to that (ACL) instantly, so I am very lucky ... structurally the ACL and PCL are all good," he told reporters. Rachele had been in the midst of a career-best scoring season, kicking 25 goals from a dozen games. But he'll likely be absent beyond third-placed Adelaide's season-shaping stretch against the Western Bulldogs, Gold Coast, Port Adelaide and Hawthorn.
