'Hasn't progressed': Laurie Daley's worrying admission about Blues player for Game 2
To'o has already had two hamstring strains this year and missed the start of the NRL season for Penrith. And while Daley insists the injury hasn't 'flared up' and he remains hopeful the winger will be right to face the Maroons in Game 2, the NSW coach did concede on Thursday morning that the Blues' medical team were concerned the hamstring niggle had not improved as quickly as they expected.
"We thought earlier in the week Brian would be OK ... but it just hasn't progressed as far as what we need him to," Daley told Nine's Today Show. "We're still confident that he'll be OK, but we thought it'd be better off to have Jacob come here on standby if Brian doesn't get up.
"With hamstrings, they're tricky things. You want to make sure they're 100 per cent right to go. You can get through training. But then, of course game night, you don't want to injure yourself and then put the team at risk. We're just going to have to weigh up all those factors towards the end of the week."

Fellow NSW winger Zac Lomax was more defiant about the prospects of To'o playing in Game 2, and backed the Blues' medical team to ensure he would be good to go in just under a week. "He's obviously a professional and he's going to get the job done," Lomax told Fox League on Wednesday night. "And we've got the best staff in the world here with us so I think he'll sit out tomorrow's training session just in regards to loads.
"But on the flip side it gives someone like Jacob Kiraz a big boost to be able to come in and train with the squad. It's massive for him too, he's been playing unbelievable footy there at the Bulldogs. But for us we need to get 'Bizza' (To'o) right and I think that's him having the day off tomorrow and he'll be flying by Wednesday night."
To'o scored one try and ran for a game-high 225 metres in a standout performance for the Blues in Game 1 at Suncorp Stadium. His tackle-busting ability and willingness to tough carries from the back has frequently helped the Blues get out of their own half and dominate field position against the Maroons and it would be a big blow if To'o was ruled out.
Fortunately for NSW, Kiraz offers many of those same qualities and despite being less of a try-scoring weapon than To'o, he is more of an aerial threat and has an offloading game that could really hurt Queensland. Daley confirmed the Bulldogs star was training with the Blues squad for the first time on Thursday morning. Bulldogs teammate and Blues 18th man Matt Burton is another option to come into the NSW starting side if To'o is ruled out.

Chelsea v. West Ham Prediction: Match Preview, Odds, Betting Trends, Stats, and Best Bets
Graham Potter welcomes his former team Chelsea (0-1-0) to London Stadium Friday as the Blues take on West Ham (0-0-1). Last season, West Ham finished 14th in the Premier League, with Chelsea fourth. The visitors won 20 games, while West Ham achieved just 11 wins. Game Details and How to Watch West Ham v. Chelsea Date: Friday, August 22, 2025 Time: 3:00PM EST Site: London Stadium City: East London, England Network/Streaming: USA Network Each side was disappointing in their season-opener as the Blues played to a scoreless tie against Crystal Palace and while the Hammers were embarrassed away at newly promoted Sunderland, 3-0. Potter has yet to defeat his former club in seven previous attempts and Chelsea have won their last three against the Hammers. A Add to the list West Ham finished last season losing seven of their last eight at London Stadium. A glimmer of hope for the Hammers and their faithful is the fact they have not lost back-to-back games at home against Chelsea in 11 seasons. The Blues have only walked away from London Stadium with three points just three times in those 11 years. Before West Ham is completely buried, lets remember that Enzo Maresca's club managed but one shot on goal in the opener against Palace and that was in the 89th minute. After another summer of big money spent on signings to bolster the attack, supporters are left to wonder if their club is going to be improved at all this season. Chelsea will now be looking to avoid drawing consecutive blanks at the start of a league season for the first time since 1995-96, when their first two matches both ended goalless. Adding to the stress is Maresca has only managed two wins away from Stamford Bridge in the Blues' previous 11 league games. Is Chelsea going to be a contender for the title race at all this season? The lost points at Palace coupled with Friday's match against West Ham will not confirm they will challenge for league supremacy, but walking away with anything short of three points may eliminate them from truly threatening the Top of the Table. Amazing how much a negative result in a club's season opener can shift the market. Chelsea's odds to win the season-long title have grown to +900 while West Ham's relegation odds have shortened to +275. Best Bet: Chelsea are the best bet to win at West Ham in a London derby on Friday. The hosts suffered a 3-0 loss to Sunderland in their last Premier League game and will face a tougher task against Enzo Maresca's Chelsea team. Chelsea's last four Premier League games have all gone under and they have won two of their last three by the odd goal. A narrow 1-0 away win looks a decent correct score bet. *Spotlight iQ: Match Previews are provided by Spotlight Sports Group Follow our experts on socials to keep up with all the latest content from the staff: Jay Croucher (@croucherJD) Drew Dinsick (@whale_capper) Vaughn Dalzell (@VmoneySports) Trysta Krick (@Trysta_Krick) Joe Prince-Wright and Andy Edwards preview Matchweek 2's Fulham v. Michael Osipoff's top 10 teams and 25 players to watch in Northwest Indiana for the 2025 football season
Crown Point begins the season on top of the rankings, but multiple Northwest Indiana teams have the talent to make playoff runs. 1. Crown Point (12-1): Craig Buzea and the Bulldogs have been putting together an historic stretch, including a Class 6A semistate appearance and third straight undefeated regular season in 2024. Senior linebacker/tight end Trevor Gibbs (Indiana); senior offensive lineman Nolan Cicero (Ball State); senior safety Dominic Fantin; senior safety Griffin Van Tichelt; senior defensive lineman Mark Gonzales, who missed most of last season with a torn ACL; senior offensive lineman Austin Reading; and junior kicker Oliver Brewer are third-year starters. Numerous talented players graduated, including quarterback Noah Ehrlich (Miami of Ohio) and running back Larry Ellison, but the Bulldogs have clearly established themselves as elite. 2. Merrillville (11-2): The Pirates have reached a semistate in five of the past six seasons, and they're poised to make another deep run in 5A. They have a dynamic one-two punch at running back with senior Jac'Quarious 'JQ' Johnson and junior Cameron Jordan. Senior tight end/wide receiver Rynell Lewis is a big-play threat, and junior Michael Hill Jr. could emerge at quarterback. Their defense also is loaded with senior defensive back Warren Brown, senior defensive lineman Quran Moore (Southeast Missouri State), senior linebacker Aarion Kuykendall, senior defensive back Greg Hughes Jr. and senior defensive lineman Stanley Freeman Jr. 3. Valparaiso (8-4): The Vikings should be a force in 5A again. Senior quarterback Kellan Hosek and senior linebacker Ben Fedorchak will lead the way. Senior offensive lineman Caleb Hazlett and junior linebacker Brody Wheeler also return. Senior Gage Finlay will be relied upon at running back, and junior wide receiver Jimmy Parisi and junior tight end Matteo Micciche are expected to be top targets. 4. Andrean (9-5): The amount of Division I-level talent on the 59ers, a contender in Class 2A after reaching a semistate last season and earning a share of the Northwest Crossroads Conference title, is eye-catching. There's senior offensive lineman Ben Novak (Wisconsin), and junior linebacker/running back Ethan Reyna and sophomore linebacker/running back Javier McCoy are top prospects. Also returning are junior defensive lineman Landen Murray, senior quarterback Brady Elish, sophomore linebacker Vinny Zsuppon and senior defensive back Gavin Jones. 5. Michigan City (3-7): The Wolves have a wealth of talent, including senior wide receiver Zaire McKinney (Northern Illinois). Senior defensive back Da'mon Thomas and junior offensive lineman Jeremiah Jones both have multiple Division I offers. Senior quarterback Trinaston Hart, senior linebacker Ethan Buskirk, senior offensive lineman Edgar Garcia and senior defensive lineman Julius Heard also are back. They added senior running back Daequon Fields, who transferred from Portage. 6. Hobart (6-5): It's shaping up to be a promising season for the Brickies, an NCC tri-champion last season, under second-year coach Eric Schreiber Jr. Junior quarterback Aleks Tatum, junior defensive back/wide receiver Bryce Tolliver and senior running back Max Pickett highlight the group. Senior offensive lineman/linebacker Josh Diaz, senior tight end/defensive lineman Logan Peters, senior two-way lineman Ethan Abrego, junior wide receiver/defensive back Nathan Sobczynski and junior tight end/defensive lineman Aiden Kasch also return. 7. Chesterton (6-5): The Trojans, continuing to pursue the program's first sectional title, have a strong nucleus. Senior running back Andrew Goveia and senior offensive lineman Carlos Leon are top players, along with senior linebacker Roberto Stabolito. Senior linebacker Lucas Anderson, senior defensive back Logan Chestovich and senior offensive lineman Braxton Ozug all return. Senior wide receiver Louis Raffin also is back after missing most of last season with a broken collarbone. 8. Lake Central (3-7): The Indians, seeking their first winning season since going 9-2 in 2014, could make a move under second-year coach Pete Koulianos. Senior quarterback/defensive back Cameron Reddick (Air Force) is a standout. Junior linebacker Brody Ramirez, junior running back Jacob Turley, senior offensive lineman Matthew Kafka and junior linebacker Brian Rzyski also return. 9. Hanover Central (9-3): Tony Bartolomeo takes over as coach of the Wildcats, an NCC tri-champion last season. Junior H-back Anthony Layman, senior two-way lineman Sean Conlon, senior two-way lineman Nathan Conlon and senior linebacker/running back Lincoln Zerby are among their returnees. Several key skill position players graduated, including running back Caiden Verrett; and defensive back Dylan Bowen, an Oklahoma State baseball recruit, is focusing on that sport. 10. Lowell (4-6): Casey McKim is the new Red Devils coach after five successful seasons at New Prairie that included a Class 4A state runner-up finish in 2022. Senior quarterback Brody Kalwinski leads the way. Senior linebacker Lincoln Schneider, senior tight end Zak Scharnke, senior offensive lineman Dylan Sinde, junior offensive lineman Kash Komorowski, senior defensive lineman Matthew Gangwisch, senior defensive back Max Arredondo and senior defensive back Roan Vasko all return.

Tennis legend Serena Williams reveals she lost over 30 pounds after taking weight-loss drug
Serena Williams has undergone a physical transformation after retiring from tennis. Frequent visitors to her Instagram page were well aware of that fact prior to Thursday, when the tennis legend revealed she lost more than 30 pounds after taking a weight-loss drug. Williams, 43, said she lost 31 pounds after using a GLP-1, during an appearance on the Today show. Williams did not reveal which GLP-1 she was taking, though it should be noted that she's a paid spokesperson for Ro, a health-care company. Williams said the birth of her first daughter played a role in Williams' decision to get on a weight-loss drug, per "This all started after I had my (first) kid," she continues. "As a woman, you go through different cycles in your life. ... No matter what I did — running, walking, I would walk for hours because they say that's good, I literally was playing a professional sport — and I could never go back to where I needed to be for my health. Then, after my second kid, it just even got harder. So then I was like, OK, I have to try something different." Williams received plenty of attention for her weight loss in July, when she posted pictures of herself in the gym. GLP-1s have become a popular tool for weight loss in recent years, though some are also used to treat diabetes. The drugs mimic a hormone that is produced after the body eats, leading to patients feeling full more quickly. After a two-decade career in tennis, Williams retired from the sport in 2022. She's widely considered one of the greatest tennis players of all time and won 23 Grand Slams during her reign at the top.
