James Bond villain and A-list film star shocks restaurant staff as he buys Thai street food in Leeds - but would you have recognised him?
The actor began his career as a gymnast and dancer before becoming a leading man in Denmark and Scandinavia.
His big break came with the 2006 James Bond hit Casino Royale, launching him onto the global stage.
Since then, he's starred in major Hollywood films and critically acclaimed productions.
So it comes as no surprise that staff couldn't' believe their eyes when he casually walked into their restaurant.
He looked completely different from his time in the Bond franchise, but can you guess who the former co-star of Daniel Craig might be?
That's right, it's none other than Mads Mikkelsen!
The star, now 59, played the part of Le Chiffre in the hit James Bond movie.
Zaap Leeds shared a snap with the actor on their Instagram alongside one of its owners on Monday.
They wrote alongside it: 'A huge thank you to the brilliant Mads Mikkelsen for visiting Zaap Leeds this weekend!
'An incredible actor and an even kinder man, it was a pleasure to welcome you.
'From Fantastic Beasts to 007, and now to ZAAP Thai – a man of great taste!
'We're honoured you chose to dine with us. Hope to see you again soon, Mads!'
Zaap is located in the Grand Arcade on Vicar Lane in Leeds City Centre.
The restaurant aims to make guests feel like they've been 'transported into a Bangkok street food market,' as per the official description on the website.
There are over 80 authentic Thai street food dishes on the menu, with prices varying from £5.95 for Japanese style dumplings to £24.99 for a Bangkok platter.
Mads moved into acting in the early 90s and became a successful Danish film star.
His later starring roles include King Arthur, Clash Of The Titans, Age Of Uprising, and Rogue One: Star Wars.
He famously replaced Johnny Depp in the role of Gellert Grindelwald for the third movie in the Fantastic Beasts film series after the actor was let go from the role.
In August 2020, he praised Johnny as an 'amazing actor' and said the star may return to the Fantastic Beasts film franchise in the future.
He told Deadline: 'Having said that, I could not copy it. There's there was no way I could just copy it, because it's so much him. It would be creative suicide.
'So, we had to come up with something else, something that was mine, and build a bridge between him and me. So, yes, it was intimidating.
'His fans were very, very sweet, but they were also very stubborn. I didn't interact too much with them, but I could understand why they had their hearts broken.'
Johnny withdrew from the franchise due to his much-publicized court case with ex-wife Amber Heard.
However, he has now told in a new interview that he felt 'shunned, dumped, [and] cancelled' in the aftermath of the trial.
He told The Telegraph: 'It literally stopped in a millisecond. Like, while I was doing the movie. They said we'd like you to resign. But what was really in my head was they wanted me to retire'.

Daniel Craig's best James Bond movie is available to stream on ITV now
A James Bond movie starring Daniel Craig that has been described as the most 'visually stunning' in the franchise is now available to stream on a major UK platform. In what is a huge win for devoted 007 fans, Skyfall has arrived on ITVX more than a decade after its release in 2012. Starring Javier Barden, Judie Dench and Ralph Fiennes, the thriller was a smash hit amongst fans and critics. It was also the third of Craig's performances, directed by Oscar-winning director Sam Mendes, who is known for 1917 and American Beauty, and shot by Roger Deakins. Taking to social media, @CinemaTweets1 said: 'Javier Bardem's performance as Raoul Silva is my favorite James Bond villain ever. Skyfall honestly feels like a stand-alone film or outlier from the rest of the Bond series given the creative decisions made by Sam Mendes. Bardem is also a big reason- he's a worthy adversary.' @BestMovieMom added: 'Skyfall will remain the most visually stunning James Bond film for a long time.' @Danimalish also said: 'Whenever I watch SKYFALL I'm convinced I'm watching the best James Bond film. 'From Daniel Craig's steely performance to the incredible supporting cast including Judi Dench, to of course Roger Deakins' immaculate cinematography. This was the peak of the Daniel Craig era.' Meanwhile, @TheCinesthetic wrote: 'As the third film in Craig's run, Skyfall isn't just a great Bond film…it's a visual triumph. Roger Deakins turned espionage into art.' The film follows Bond as he pursues an assassin in Istanbul to retrieve a stolen list containing the identities of undercover agents. However, the plan goes disastrously wrong, leaving Chief M (Dench) forced to take drastic action. The espionage thriller was nominated for five Oscars and went on to claim two of them for Best Sound Editing and Best Original Song, which was given to Adele. Its move on to ITVX comes as ITV dropped all episodes of a gripping crime thriller that fans hailed as 'phenomenal'. The tense eight-episode drama, Under the Bridge, has finally landed on ITV for viewers to watch for free in the UK, and you are in for an emotional rollercoaster. The 2024 series stars Oscar nominee Lily Gladstone opposite Daisy Jones and the Six actor Riley Keough. More Trending Elsewhere in the James Bond universe, Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight was named as the screenwriter for the latest Bond film. Amazon MGM onfirmed on social media on Thursday night that Knight will pen the script for the next instalment. The announcement follows an intensive search by Amazon MGM, which gained full creative control of the Bond series earlier this year from Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson. Tom Holland mum on 'speculation' he is in mix to be the next James Bond
has acknowledged the 'speculation' swirling over him possibly starring as the new James Bond. But the British actor, 29, stayed mum when asked about the rumors in a video posted Thursday. The scuttlebutt that Holland could be in the running to take over from Daniel Craig as the superspy has ramped up in recent weeks. While joining celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay on his YouTube channel to make fried chicken sandwiches and promote his non-alcoholic beer brand, Holland said: 'Listen, there's speculation at the minute. We'll keep it to a minimum for now. 'We'll get there one day.' 'Every young British actor, it's the pinnacle of working in our industry. 'I already consider myself to be the luckiest kid alive. I could never have dreamed to have the career that I've had.' The next Bond film is coming into focus after the announcement on Friday that Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight would be joining Dune director Denis Villeneuve behind the camera to write the next James Bond film. While speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live Breakfast, Knight said: 'It has always been on my bucket list and it's fantastic to be invited to do it — I can't wait to get started.' The movie will be overseen by Amazon MGM Studios, after producer Barbara Broccoli gave up creative control of the Bond franchise. Amy Pascal and David Heyman have also been announced as producers, via Pascal Pictures and Heyday Films, respectively, while Tanya Lapointe is an executive producer on the project. Even though the creative team is falling into place for the next Bond film, there has been no official word on who will replace Craig — or which actors are being considered. Craig's final Bond film was 2021's dark No Time To Die, which was directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga. The producers are reportedly looking for a considerably younger actor to take over the role after Craig — who is 57 — presented a more weathered, mortality-focused version of the beloved character. Holland is filming his fourth solo Spider-Man film, subtitled Brand New Day, which will reunite him with his costar and girlfriend Zendaya. Production began on Friday in Glasgow, Scotland, with portions of the city dressed up as New York City. According to The Sun, Liverpool had originally been intended to stand in as the Big Apple, but the location had to be changed in the wake of a shocking parade crash, which left 109 people injured. Tom had been spotted in Scotland earlier in July when he filmed scenes for Christopher Nolan's upcoming adaptation of The Odyssey, and he and Zendaya are reportedly back in the country to begin shooting the Spider-Man sequel.

James Bond movie lauded as 'the best ever made' with 92% Rotten Tomatoes score is finally made free to stream in huge win for fans
The James Bond movie that boasts a whopping 92 per cent Rotten Tomatoes score, and is often called 'the best ever made,' has finally become free to steam in a huge win for 007 devotees. The knockout thriller has just landed on ITVX, 13 years on from its 2012 release, for action enthusiasts to enjoy. As well as being a fan-favourite, the film was a hit among critics, and garnered glowing praise for its stellar acting, dialogue and action scenes. It was the third of Daniel Craig 's performances as the British Secret Service agent, and was led by Oscar-winning director Sam Mendes - the brain behind 1917 and American Beauty. It is none other than Skyfall - with stars Javier Bardem, Judi Dench and Ralph Fiennes featuring alongside the titular character. The blockbuster follows Bond as he pursues an assassin through Istanbul, in effort to retrieve a stolen list containing the identities of undercover agents. But when the plan goes disastrously wrong, Chief M, played by the iconic Dame Judi, is moved to take action to protect the organisation. The film immediately made waves in the world of cinema upon its release, bringing in excellent reviews and an impressive 92 per cent score on film rating website Rotten Tomatoes. The espionage drama was nominated for a staggering five Oscars, and went on to claim two of them in the categories of Best Sound Editing and Best Original Song, with the latter presented to Brit singer Adele. Cinephiles are no doubt delighted at the now-free presence of the legendary instalment of the film series. It comes as angry fans slammed the Academy earlier this year for not inviting Adele to sing her own song, Skyfall, at the 97th Oscars. Raye delivered a show-stopping performance on stage, singing Adele's hit, with some begging the star to perform the next Bond song. But other fans were left baffled why the Oscars didn't get Adele, who lives in Los Angeles, to 'come from down the street' and perform her James Bond theme song. Instead, Raye - who skipped the BRITs for the occasion - flew across the pond for the performance. Viewers wrote on X: 'Why not just have Adele sing Skyfall #Oscars', 'NO ONE should sing Skyfall aside from Adele!', 'I like Raye, but this is Adele's song forever. Sorry', 'Amazon couldn't have pulled some strings and had Adele perform during this 007 montage?', 'You're telling me they couldn't get Adele to come sing her own song #Oscars', 'Could we not afford Adele or?! #Oscars', 'I'm sorry but only Adele can really sing Skyfall the way it should be sung #Oscars2025'. Zoe Saldaña shook the controversy surrounding her film Emilia Pérez as she earned Best Supporting Actress at the 2025 Oscars . The film immediately made waves in the world of cinema upon its release, bringing in excellent reviews and an impressive 92 per cent score on film rating website Rotten Tomatoes The 97th Academy Awards - which featured a star-studded red carpet - hit a high as the 46-year-old American actress was crowned for the Netflix film. She triumphed over: Monica Barbaro — A Complete Unknown, Ariana Grande — Wicked, Felicity Jones — The Brutalist, and Isabella Rossellini — Conclave. Zoe became the first ever Oscar winner of Dominican descent and made sure to thank her ancestors for paving the way to have a successful acting career in America. She said: 'My grandmother came to this country in 1961 -- I am a proud child of immigrant parents. With dreams and dignity and hard-working hands, and I am the first American on Dominican origin to accept an academy award, and I know I will not be the last. I hope. 'The fact that I'm getting an award for a role where I got to sing and speak in Spanish, my grandmother, if she were here, she would be so delighted, this is for my grandmother. Thank you so much. Thank you.'
