The Colorado State University athlete took gold at the Mountain West Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
And she did so after breaking a huge record.
With her final throw, Lesnar threw her shot 18.08-meters/59-feet-4.0 meters with 19.60/64-3.5 - a record distance for the facility.
It also made her one of the top three women's shot put competitors in the NCAA.
After winning the event, the 23-year-old told the college website: "I got very emotional.
"Not because of my mark, but because all my family got to be here, even my dog.
"I have a couple more months to focus on track and I've sacrificed a lot to do this. The support from my teammates and boyfriend, it's been great.
"I have to be confident at this age and this level. It's senior day and I only have two more months of my college career.
"At this point, I have nothing to lose. I'm super proud to be a Ram and excited to do it at our home track."
Meanwhile, her coach, Brian Bedard, said: "We wanted to set it up to be a special day.
"I needed to look for something to motivate her, which was the facility record. I wanted to bring in some bleachers have someone run the event, a good official.
"We wanted to see her go out at a home meet and have a lot of people be able to see her compete and see how special she is."
The Colorado State star's dad, Brock Lesnar, is known for being a WWE icon.
However, the 47-year-old has been away from the promotion for the last two years.

Report: Rams LT Alaric Jackson dealing with blood clots

June 13 - Los Angeles Rams left tackle Alaric Jackson is dealing with blood clots for the second time since 2022, NFL Network reported on Friday. While Jackson is expected to play this season, the Rams secured insurance at the position by agreeing to terms with free agent tackle D.J. Humphries on Thursday. Jackson, 26, followed up the 2022 season in which he played just eight games (six starts) by starting 29 of the Rams' 34 games over the past two campaigns. Humphries, 31, started 15 games with the Arizona Cardinals in 2023 before sustaining a torn ACL. He joined the Kansas City Chiefs in late November of last season and started two games. Humphries has started all 100 career games he has played since the Cardinals selected him with the 24th overall pick of the 2015 NFL Draft. He made the Pro Bowl in 2021. --Field Level Media

Simone Biles apologizes to Riley Gaines over trans athlete row amid right-wing backlash

Simone Biles has apologized for making personal remarks about Riley Gaines in a heated online exchange over transgender athlete participation in sports, even as conservative media figures continued to attack the gymnast. The most decorated gymnast in history, Biles had called Gaines 'truly sick' and a 'sore loser' in a viral social media post after Gaines misgendered a Minnesota high school softball player who is transgender. Biles later said her frustration was directed at the system that puts athletes in difficult positions and that singling out an underage player crossed a line. 'It didn't help for me to get personal with Riley,' Biles wrote in a follow-up post. 'These are sensitive, complicated issues that I truly don't have the answers or solutions to, but I believe it starts with empathy and respect.' The apology came days after Gaines, a former collegiate swimmer turned anti-trans activist, lashed out at Biles for her comments. The two clashed after Gaines mocked a Minnesota state high school softball championship's post by pointing out a transgender girl on the winning team, referring to the player as 'a boy' and claiming the title was 'hijacked'. Biles, who has often advocated for mental health awareness and athlete welfare, responded sharply: 'You're truly sick. All of this campaigning because you lost a race. Straight up sore loser.' She followed with additional posts criticizing Gaines for 'bullying' and suggested that sports organizations create a transgender division as an inclusive alternative. Gaines, who tied for fifth place with trans swimmer Lia Thomas at the 2022 NCAA championships and has since become a prominent figure in right-wing media, quickly pushed back. 'Men don't belong in women's sports and I say that with my full chest,' she wrote, reposting fan responses and accusing Biles of undermining women's spaces. While Biles has since walked back the personal tone of her remarks, she stood by the broader point. 'I believe sports organizations have a responsibility to come up with rules supporting inclusion while maintaining fair competition,' she posted. 'We all want a future for sport that is fair, inclusive, and respectful.' Yet the apology did little to defuse the backlash from the American right. Fox News' website has published no fewer than 17 stories about the dispute since it began on Saturday. On the highly rated Fox panel show The Five on Wednesday, co-host Jesse Watters called Biles 'mentally weak' and mocked her decision to apologize. 'We have to make sure she medals [at LA 2028], OK? So I'm gonna lay off her,' Watters said sarcastically before likening it to Elon Musk's walking back of his feud with Donald Trump. 'But I will say this, she pulled an Elon. 'Oh, I'm sorry for some of the things I said.' Come on.' The segment included further ridicule of Biles's mental health advocacy, with Watters alluding to her high-profile withdrawal from events at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021. 'This shows the power of Fox,' he said. 'This woman, Riley Gaines, did the full Kilmeade: six shows in 48 hours and just put so much pressure on Simone.' The right-leaning sports outlet Outkick, where Gaines is a contributor, also published multiple stories criticizing Biles for 'bullying' and accused her of contradicting herself on inclusion and fairness. Despite the pile-on, many of Biles's supporters praised her for defending a transgender minor against public attacks. A coach from the Minnesota team told local media after the championship game, 'She's a great kid and a great teammate. Her teammates love having her out there.' Biles, for her part, appears ready to move on. 'We're all passionate about sport and the direction it's going,' she wrote. 'But we need to be able to talk about it in ways that don't tear each other down.'

Reports: Brewers deal RHP Aaron Civale to White Sox

June 13 - One day after Aaron Civale requested a trade, the Milwaukee Brewers obliged and shipped the right-hander to the Chicago White Sox on Friday. Multiple outlets reported the deal, with first baseman Andrew Vaughn heading to the Brewers in exchange for the pitcher. Civale lost his starting role to top prospect Jacob Misiorowski, who threw five no-hit innings in a dazzling debut Thursday to beat the St. Louis Cardinals. After the team informed Civale that he was moving to the bullpen, his agent, Jack Toffey, made the trade request to Brewers general manager Matt Arnold. "The conversation was very professional," Toffey said Thursday, per The Athletic. "I just very respectfully said that Aaron would really like an opportunity to continue his career as a starter. He's going to be a free agent at the end of the year." Toffey added that Civale was not disgruntled but merely examining his options. "Aaron is not angry or banging his fist on the table," Toffey said. "But it's a little confusing because he did not pitch his way out of the rotation whatsoever. It's more of a subjective choice the organization is making." Civale, who turned 30 on Thursday, has recorded all 122 of his regular-season appearances as a starter. He did come out of the bullpen in a Game 1 loss of the 2024 National League wild-card series against the New York Mets, throwing three scoreless innings. Civale is 1-2 with a 4.91 ERA in five starts this season with Milwaukee. He is 40-37 with a 4.06 ERA in his career with Cleveland (2019-23), the Tampa Bay Rays (2023-24) and Brewers, who traded for him last July. Vaughn, 27, was demoted to Triple-A Charlotte last month after hitting .189 with five home runs and 19 RBIs in 48 games this season. Vaughn has batted .248 with 77 homers and 293 RBIs in 610 games since the White Sox drafted him third overall in the 2019 MLB Draft. --Field Level Media
