Iranian missiles were able to bypass the Arrow and Patriot missile defense systems. Israeli media reported that 2 people were killed in a missile attack on Rishon LeZion in central Israel. An Israeli news outlet noted that there was great concern for many of the injured under the rubble, adding that 10 firefighting and rescue teams were working in the area.
Meanwhile, Israel's Ichilov Hospital announced that it had received dozens wounded as a result of the Iranian missile attack.

Israeli reports indicated extensive destruction in the central region as a result of the recent missile barrage from Iran.
The death toll from the Iranian attacks has risen to four, according to Israeli media, in addition to dozens of injuries, some of them critical.
Some reports suggest that the Israeli military affairs ministry was also successfully targeted.
Israeli occupation authorities have imposed censorship, restricting the release of images and videos from the sites of destruction amid fears of further Iranian retaliation, as tensions soar and fears of future waves of missile attacks intensify.
Iranian missiles caused unprecedented destruction and damage in numerous areas, most notably Tel Aviv. Israeli media reported that approximately 300 rockets were launched from Iranian territory in three waves.
In this context, Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported that Iranian missiles completely destroyed nine buildings, while hundreds of other buildings were damaged in Ramat Gan in central 'Israel'.
In his turn, Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi, speaking to state television, said the Operation True Promise III 'will continue as long as necessary,' while vowing to avenge the blood of martyrs.

Blackout and blowback: Inside the first day of Iran-Israel war
Report by Amal Shehadeh, English adaptation by Yasmine Jaroudi The widespread destruction inflicted on central Israeli towns during the first day of the "Rising Lions" war, launched in response to "True Promise 3," has prompted Israeli military decision-makers to revise their airstrike priorities in Iran. The new strategy focuses on targeting drone depots, ballistic missile platforms, and both surface-to-surface and surface-to-air launchers to secure Israeli Air Force freedom of operation over Tehran and to reduce the intensity of strikes on Israeli territory. Several high-rise buildings were rendered unusable, and hundreds of Israeli residents were forced out of their homes. In response, Israeli military censors imposed a strict blackout on any publication of photos or details related to sensitive facilities and military bases hit during the attack. The army confirmed that seven soldiers were wounded. The most powerful Iranian missile salvo targeted Rishon LeZion in central Israel, killing two people and injuring at least 30 others. Among those affected was a former senior Israeli security official whose residence lies just 250 meters from where one of the missiles struck. Though he was unharmed, the official—who previously held a top post in a major intelligence agency and now serves as CEO of a major Israeli energy company—remains unnamed. While many details of the first day of direct war between Israel and Iran remain undisclosed, Israel has escalated its rhetoric. After a high-level security assessment meeting, Defense Minister Israel Katz threatened to "burn Tehran," a statement that sparked public debate over the vulnerability of Israel's home front should the war drag on. An Israeli intelligence report revealed that neither Tel Aviv nor Washington has succeeded in securing a regional or international coalition to help repel Iran's missile and drone attacks. The evolving conflict has left Israel's civilian population under increasing threat, and concerns are mounting over the military's ability to intercept the full volume of Iranian ballistic missiles and drones. How, when, and by whom will this war be brought to an end?

Iran: No justification for continuing talks; our focus now is confronting the enemy
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that the continuation of indirect talks between Washington and Tehran is "unjustifiable." In a call with EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas, Araghchi said that 'Israel's hostile actions stem from direct US support,' emphasizing that 'ongoing indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States are unjustifiable while the Zionist regime's brutality continues.' The Iranian minister condemned the 'violation of Iran's sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the attacks on nuclear facilities and residential areas, which have led to the deaths of military personnel, university professors, women, and children.' He called for a 'decisive global response and international condemnation of Israeli aggression.' Araghchi further stressed that 'attacking peaceful nuclear facilities is illegal and strictly prohibited under international law, and the international community is obligated to hold the Zionist regime accountable for this grave and unprecedented violation.' Separately, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said in a statement ahead of the scheduled Sunday talks: 'It is clear that under such circumstances, and as long as the Zionist regime's aggression against the Iranian nation continues, engaging in dialogue with a party that is the biggest supporter and partner of the aggressor is meaningless.' He added that 'Iran's diplomatic apparatus is currently fully focused on confronting Israeli aggression,' and noted that 'despite all its claims about dialogue and diplomacy, the United States is complicit with Israel, including in the targeting of peaceful Iranian nuclear facilities.'

Sayyed Houthi: Israeli Aggression on Iran Comes in Context of Targeting Its Model of Independence
Head of Yemen's Ansarullah Movement Sayyed Abdul Malik Badreddine Al-Houthi indicated that the Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran came within a broader Western effort that views Iran as an independent model supportive for the Palestinian cause. In a televised speech on the occasion of the Day of Wilaya, Sayyed Houthi said that the Israeli enemy, backed by the West, sees the Islamic Republic of Iran as a nation building a civilizational renaissance and an Islamic power. 'The Israeli, American, British, and their allies do not want any independent state among Muslims that does not submit to their authority. The Israeli enemy is criminal and audacious in committing such a heinous crime—an enemy with absolutely no justification for its aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran.' All the fabrications, pretexts, and excuses promoted by the Israeli enemy are utterly absurd. he said, highlighting the positions of Arab and Islamic countries united in condemning the Israeli aggression against Iran, as a good and positive development. In its aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Israeli enemy violates the airspace of Arab countries without concern, Sayyed Houthi underlined, adding that the Ummah must restore the equation of deterrence against the Israeli enemy, rather than accepting the equation of unchecked aggression. 'The American, British, French, and the Western community in general seek only to contain the Iranian response. If the West fails to contain Iran's response through political pressure and other means, their direction will be to cooperate with the enemy to confront Iran's retaliation.' We in Yemen support the Iranian response and are partners in this stance with everything we can offer, Sayyed Houthi said, extending condolences to the Iranian leadership and people, and congratulations on martyrdom of a number of officials, experts and citizens. Sayyed Houthi affirmed that any Islamic country that engages in a confrontation with the Israeli enemy must be supported, as that is the true responsibility and interest of the Ummah. 'We continue to support Gaza, stand by the Palestinian people, and remain engaged in an open war with the Israeli enemy. Our stance is firm and ongoing as part of our jihadi duties in the path of Allah Almighty.' Iranian Armed Forces shot down Israeli drones on Saturday as the Zionist entity goes on with its aggression on the Islamic Republic for the second day.
