Louise Redknapp has opened up about her personal journey post-divorce, saying she's 'been through a lot' since parting ways with ex-husband Jamie Redknapp. The pair, parents to sons Charley and Beau, went separate paths in September 2017 and were legally divorced by December.
Jamie moved on and tied the knot with Swedish beauty Frida Andersson, with whom he has a child named Raphael. Louise, on the other hand, found love with businessman Drew Michael, who is nine years her junior.
Reflecting on her own growth, Louise confided in a recent interview that she's still embracing self-love.
Chatting with The Sun, Louise expressed: "I've been through a lot. I'm working on it. It's not easy. But I'm learning every day that you need to love yourself."
Further elaborating on her newfound self-acceptance, Louise added: "I've finally realised it's all right to fight for yourself and, if you don't love you, then you will be useless to everyone else," reports the Mirror.
Discussing the dynamic with her younger beau Drew, Louise mentioned that their age difference doesn't faze her: "I don't feel a lot older than him and I don't behave older."
In an earlier heart-to-heart on Fearne Cotton's Happy Place podcast, Louise confessed that her children were her pillars of strength during tough times after her split from Jamie.
Louise shared spoken insightfully: "If I didn't have my kids, I just, I think I would have just given up. I really do. I think I just knew that my kids were my everything and they needed me."
In the interview, she laid bare the hurtful impact that the intense public dissection of her marriage breakdown had on her. "But I can honestly say, when you're going through something so personal in your own turmoil in your own way, but then to get the barrage of judgment and nastiness," she revealed.
She was astounded by the cruelty of strangers remarking, "I never realised people could be so unkind and say such terrible things. It blew my mind. I was going through a lot as it was."
Striving to maintain strength for her children, she emphasised the importance of privacy: "I was trying to be strong for my kids, whatever had gone on in our life was private - which I do believe that you're entitled to no matter what."
The media painted her as a villain while she was experiencing immense personal pain: "And God, I was such a villain, and I was breaking like I was absolutely breaking. Beyond what I thought it was possible for a human to break and all along I'm still trying to be a mum."
The struggle to keep up appearances took its toll, with every step seemingly scrutinised: "And it was just like every time I went out, and I was trying to put a brave face on and do things, like that was wrong if I didn't. I felt like everything I did was so wrong."

Jeremy Clarkson's daughter made Lisa Hogan 'burst into tears'
The 51-year-old former model and co-star on Amazon's Clarkson's Farm opened up about her life with the ex-Top Gear host, revealing that despite not being engaged, their blended family shares a close bond. Lisa explained that Emily, a social media influencer and author, has previously spoken about her own daughter in such a kind way in the past. I've said it before, but I think Clarkson's Farm is my favourite show of the past 5 years. It's funny and engaging, you learn a heap, and it's done such a great job on showing the world the plight of farmers and how essential they are. And, of course, Jezza is Jezza ❤️ — Andrew Johnston (@ARJ7X) May 26, 2025 She said: "Emily has this podcast called Shall I Delete That? and she spoke about my daughter in such a sweet way that I burst out crying. They've known each other for nine years, and I think they really care about each other." She also gave insights into Jeremy's personality away from the cameras, describing him as endlessly curious and brimming with energy, even over the smallest things. When discussing the prospect of marriage, Lisa expressed contentment with their relationship as it is, telling the Daily Mail: "Mrs Clarkson? No, thank you, I like Lisa Hogan. "We decided not to have children together." "We're at a stage where we are not going to have kids. I'm just happy pootling along. I think because of our age, it's much easier." Recommended reading: As the new series of Clarkson's Farm hits the screens, Jeremy's health sparked even more concern following his heart surgery last year to fit two stents. Reflecting on the latest episodes, Jeremy observed how he appeared increasingly unwell as the series went on. Speaking to The Sun, Jeremy said: "You can see me becoming more and more ill as the days go on, because I just lose my sense of humour, lose my ability to stay calm. "I get in a proper old panic. I didn't know at the time. I knew I wasn't being me. Because if you don't sleep, it very quickly has an effect."

Love Island casting comes under fire AGAIN after it's revealed star had TikTok account where he ‘secretly films women'
He insisted he's a good, normal guy after being quizzed by cops over a machete attack. VILLA BAD BOY Love Island casting comes under fire AGAIN after it's revealed star had TikTok account where he 'secretly films women' AXED Love Island hunk Kyle Ashman took part in 'misogynistic' videos with a pal where they secretly filmed women. The lad was struck from the dating show line-up earlier this week after it was revealed that he had been held and questioned by police over a machete attack at a wake. Advertisement 3 Kyle was axed from the show earlier this week Credit: Instagram Now it has been revealed that he had a joint TikTok and YouTube page with a friend called Fin Musker. Whilst the joint pages have been wiped of content, a source has told The Sun that the videos involved them 'picking up girls and filming them without knowledge'. The source added that the videos 'displayed misogynistic behaviour towards women'. Some content still online shows Fin and Kyle out on the town, kissing women and speaking to them in bars. Advertisement When approached about the videos, Kyle did not wish to comment. It raises further question marks about ITV's vetting process for its reality shows. Earlier this week Kyle was sent packing from Majorca after The Sun alerted show bosses that he had been arrested on suspicion of a machete attack and was only cleared by police last month - meaning he would've been in discussion with authorities whilst auditioning for Love Island. ITV chiefs sent him home from Majorca, plunging the show into chaos ahead of Monday's launch. Advertisement A source said: 'All of the online content had been cleared so may not have come up on surface level checks, but for this kind of show far deeper trawls should be in place. 'ITV has steered clear of OnlyFans stars in the past and Kyle's link to one - particularly taking part in joint content of a misogynistic nature - is surely not in keeping with Love Island being a family show.' Love Island's Kyle Ashman reveals he wants show return as Casa Amor hunk after being axed over machete attack on dad ITV declined to comment. Ashman, 23, was one of two quizzed over a brutal machete attack at a wake in Stafford in February but was released with no further action. Advertisement Sources said the channel was unaware of the incident and he was not flagged as part of contestant checks. The victim, 38, nearly lost his arm. He was rushed to hospital for emergency treatment and kept in for around two weeks. Another mourner was glassed, one struck with a metal pole, and two people run over by a car during the 15 minutes of terror at a social club. Ashman, who lives in the town, was one of two men to be nicked on suspicion of affray then bailed. Advertisement Police confirmed that after the matter had been investigated the pair were released with no further action only last month. Speaking after he was axed from the show, he said: "I'm not a bad guy, honestly. I'm a normal guy from a normal place. An opportunity arose to find love and I grabbed it with both hands, and it's been taken away from me. "I've seen the support pages and, who knows, maybe I'll get the chance to go on Casa Amor or as a bombshell, go back in and show you who I really am. Show you I'm not a bad guy. We'll see." 3 He was quizzed by cops over a machete attack that happened in February Credit: Instagram/@kyleashmantr Advertisement 3 He was released without charge and insists he's a normal guy Credit: Instagram
