Watch: Leanne Morgan stars in Netflix sitcom 'Leanne'
July 1 (UPI) -- Comedian Leanne Morgan plays the titular character in the upcoming Netflix sitcom Leanne, which arrives on the streamer July 31. The show's Leanne is picking up the pieces of her life after her husband Bill (Ryan Stiles) falls in love with someone else. "Starting over when you're a grandmother and in menopause isn't exactly what she had in mind, but with the help of her family, she will face this new chapter with grace, dignity and Jell-O salad," an official synopsis reads. The trailer released Tuesday shows Leanne navigating the ups and downs alongside sister Carol (Kristen Johnston). The series is inspired by Morgan's stand-up comedy and will span 16 episodes. Watch: Stellan Skarsgard stars in family drama 'Sentimental Value'
July 1 (UPI) -- Stellan Skarsgard portrays Gustav, a director and father who attempts to reconnect with his estranged daughters, in the new film Sentimental Value. Renate Reinsve also stars as Nora, an actress who turns down her father's offer to play the leading role in his next film. "I can't work with him," she tells the American actress who accepts the role (Elle Fanning), in the trailer. "We can't really talk. And my father is a very difficult person." The offer, however, reunites Nora and her sister Agnes (Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas) with their father. The trailer shows the women confronting their painful childhood memories. "Suddenly, the two sisters must navigate their complicated relationship with their father -- and deal with an American star dropped right into the middle of their complex family dynamics," an official synopsis states. The film arrives in November, but a specific release date has not yet been announced. Joachim Trier directs.

Watch: Taylor Kitsch stars in 'Terminal List' prequel 'Dark Wolf'
July 1 (UPI) -- Prime Video is previewing the Terminal List prequel series, The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, ahead of its Aug. 27 premiere. The new action-drama showcases the origin story of Ben Edwards (Taylor Kitsch) as he navigates life as a Navy SEAL, ultimately becoming a CIA official. According to an official synopsis, "the series is an espionage thriller that explores the darker side of warfare and the human cost that comes with it." The trailer released Tuesday shows Ben dressed in uniform. "When we step on that battlefield, we fight for each other, which is why it's so hard to give up that brotherhood," his voice says as the preview begins. Chris Pratt, Tom Hopper, Robert Wisdom, Luke Hemsworth, Dar Salim, Rona-Lee Shimon, Shiraz Tzarfati and Jared Shaw also star. "Digging into Ben's origin with Dark Wolf was a blast," Kitsch said in a statement. "This season goes even deeper -- there's more grit, more heart and a lot more on the line. It's raw, it's honest and it really lets you see the heart of who he is." The Terminal List, inspired by Jack Carr's novel of the same name, stars Pratt and began streaming in 2022.
