Indiana Fever, Caitlin Clark live score updates, results, highlights vs Atlanta Dream today, May 20
The Indiana Fever are off to a winning and controversial start as they host the Atlanta Dream tonight, May 20.
Indiana started the WNBA season with a 93-58 win over the Chicago Sky, and Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese mixed it up a little. Clark had 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, her third career triple-double.
Atlanta lost its opener 94-90 to the Washington Mystics.

Fever: Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Mitchell, DeWanna Bonner, Natasha Howard, Aliyah Boston
Dream: Allisha Gray, Brittney Griner, Brionna Jones, Rhyne Howard, Te-Hina Paopao
Indiana newcomer Sophie Cunningham must wait to make her debut. She remains out with a right ankle injury suffered in the preseason. Atlanta guard Jordin Canada (knee) is out.
Chloe Peterson's prediction: Fever 92-76
"This one will likely be tougher than the Fever than their 35-point win in the season-opener. Indiana beat Atlanta, 81-76, in the preseason, but that was with Dream center Brittney Griner playing just two minutes.
"First-year Dream coach Karl Smesko runs a five-out system, which is interesting considering they signed two of the best centers in the league, Griner and Brionna Jones, in the offseason. Everyone is expected to shoot 3-pointers, including Griner and Jones (who are rare 3-point shooters).
"Atlanta is still figuring out its gameplan. And Indiana seemed more in tune in the season-opener, with much-improved defense going pairing with the offensive system they're already used to with Caitlin Clark running point."

Angel Reese posts first career triple-double in Sky's 78-66 win over Sun
Angel Reese scored the first triple-double of her WNBA career in the Chicago Sky's 78-66 win over the Connecticut Sun on Sunday. The second-year star tallied 11 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists in the victory, adding three steals and two blocks. She got the triple-double with her 10th assist on a jumper by Ariel Atkins with 2:46 remaining in the game. "I was a passer and I could've been a passer all my career," Reese said after the game. "Like I came out of high school as the No. 1 wing and I'm trying to get back to that. Trying to get back to being super-versatile. And [coach] Tyler [Marsh] made that emphasis early on in the season." "I think bigs have the best passes," she added with a smile. Advertisement Reese is the second player to notch a triple-double in the WNBA this season, joining rival Caitlin Clark. Clark compiled 20 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds against Reese and the Sky in the Indiana Fever's 93-58 season-opening win. During her rookie season, Reese set a WNBA record by getting a double-double in 13 consecutive games. That streak eventually extended to 15 games and included a rookie record of seven straight games with double figures in points and rebounds. Reese finished with 28 double-doubles last season, two short of the single-season record set by Alyssa Thomas in 2023 with the Sun. The Sky forward was also involved in a scuffle with 6:22 left in the third quarter and the Sun leading 43-42. She objected to Connecticut's Bria Hartley pulling her braid and striking her across the face while pursuing a rebound. Reese immediately confronted Hartley and shoved Olivia Nelson-Ododa before Tina Charles stepped in. Hartley was whistled for a loose-ball foul, while Reese and Charles were issued technical fouls. For the remainder of the quarter, Chicago outscored Connecticut 17-11 and maintained a lead for the remainder of the game. Advertisement "Obviously, that little scuffle that we had, she had to stick up for her teammate," Reese said about Charles afterward. "She was like, 'You know I gotta do that.'" Hailey Van Lith led the Sky with 16 points off the bench, followed by Reese and Kia Nurse scoring 11. Atkins and Kamilla Cardoso each added 10 for Chicago, which improved its record to 3-7 for the season. With 22 points, the Sun's Marina Mabrey led all scorers. Charles added 19 points, followed by Jacy Sheldon's 12. Nelson-Ododa grabbed 10 rebounds for Connecticut, which dropped to 2-8. The Sky return to the court Tuesday, hosting the Washington Mystics. Up next for Connecticut is a visit to the Fever, also on Tuesday.

Pacers vs. Thunder NBA Finals: Indiana coach Rick Carlisle calls criticism of referee Scott Foster "awful," "stupid"
OKLAHOMA CITY — Indiana Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle on Sunday decried the swell of public criticism of the officiating that flowed following the Oklahoma City Thunder's Game 4 win in the 2025 NBA Finals, describing the carping on perceived mistaken calls and non-calls — specifically those involving longtime NBA referee Scott Foster — as, among other things, 'awful' and 'stupid.' During his news conference at Indiana's Sunday practice session ahead of Game 5 on Monday, Carlisle fielded a question about how much of a role he felt the officiating played in Game 4, which featured 53 personal fouls, two flagrant fouls, two technical fouls and 71 total free throws — all high-water marks for the series. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander shot 10 of those free throws, including eight in the fourth quarter, as part of a 15-point final frame that helped Oklahoma City erase a 10-point third-quarter deficit to tie the series at two games apiece. (AP Photo/Michael Conroy) (ASSOCIATED PRESS) Foster, who's been officiating NBA games since 1992, called 23 of those fouls, according to analysis by Yahoo Sports contributing NBA writer Tom Haberstroh: Some fans and pundits called foul on the elevated total number of calls in general, and the number of times Foster blew his whistle in particular. Carlisle made clear on Sunday he found the critiques offensive. Advertisement 'As far as officiating, I think it's awful, some of the things I've seen about the officiating, and Scott Foster, in particular,' Carlisle said. 'I've known Scott Foster for 30 years. He's a great official. He's done a great job in these playoffs. We've had him a lot of times, and the ridiculous scrutiny that's being thrown out there is terrible, and unfair, and unjust. It's stupid.' Asked which critiques specifically he'd seen and was referring to, Carlisle declined to elaborate. 'I'm not getting into it,' he said. 'I've said what I'm going to say.' After Game 4, Thunder coach Mark Daigneault said he didn't see anything untoward in the uptick in whistles — referred to by one reporter as 'a crap-ton of free throws.' 'Well, there were a crap-ton of fouls — that's why there were a crap-ton of free throws,' Daigneault said. 'I thought the refs did a good job tonight. Both teams shot a lot of free throws. It was physical. That was what the game was. It was a physical game on both ends of the floor for both teams.'
