A man's recent homecoming took a hilariously predictable turn when he discovered his wife's elaborate mission to rescue a stray cat.
In a video on TikTok, the man captured the moment he discovered her meticulous plan designed to lure the cautious cat indoors—complete with food bowls aligned in a path to their house. Christopher Cluff, 37, spoke to Newsweek about the animal-rescuing antics of his wife, Brittany, and how it keeps things exciting in their growing family.
"One hour after my wife saw a stray cat across the yard...She'll never stop," Cluff captioned the video, which shows the trail of treats leading to their house. There, Brittany waits patiently with more food and a cozy cat bed, ready to welcome their newest family member.

Cluff revealed that this particular endeavor began when they heard a small kitten in their garage trying to get to their dog food.
"That's when 'mission cat retrieval' started," he said. "My wife and our daughters eventually were able to lure her back." The cat, who was just a baby, arrived underfed.
Cluff's wife's profound compassion for animals, especially rescues, runs deep. He said that her passion began with her first dog, a German shepherd named Fofo.
"Her parents wanted to buy her a puppy after their family dog passed, but she fell in love with a full-grown German shepherd at the shelter," he said. Despite her parents' concerns about adopting an adult dog, Brittany would sit in front of her kennel and refuse to take no for an answer. Brittany's dedication to Fofo was unwavering; she "spoiled that dog through medical issues, injuries, cancer, blindness and old age. She lived to be 16 years old, and she loved sitting in the back seat of her car while Britt gave her McDonald's," he said.
The couple met at 16, married at 19, and soon began expanding their animal family. Their move to a five-acre property in Tennessee provided "the green light for her to start ramping up the animal collection" which now includes six dogs, three cats, five pigs, 24 chickens, and a tarantula. Cluff said he's pretty sure that won't be all.
The cat from the video, named Binx, is now firmly in her forever home.
"She's very spoiled," Cluff confirmed. Despite his own cat allergies, the couple has adapted by purchasing special food that makes cats produce less allergens. Binx, who is now "terrified of the outdoors," enjoys a life of luxury, being slightly overweight and sleeping in the couple's bed.
And Cluff, despite feigning annoyance in the video, actually cherishes his wife's animal-loving nature.
"This just confirms for me what I've always wanted in a partner," he said. "She's literally everything I ever wanted. I wouldn't change anything."

In 1977, Spencer was involved in a car accident that killed her stepfather and manager, Tim Pelt, her website bio states. She was in a coma for three weeks and had broken bones in her arm, leg and pelvis. Decades later, the injuries she endured left her wheelchair-bound, and she underwent physical therapy to learn how to walk again. In 2014, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, and in 2018, she had emergency surgery to relieve bleeding in the brain. Spencer was inducted into the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture, marking the first time a child star received the honor. "I still can't believe it," she told in 2014. "That's something people can look at for years to come, long after I'm gone." What People Are Saying Sandra Jones told ABC News on Tuesday: "This untimely death is really hard to process right now. She is a sweet and gentle soul and she is going to be missed very, very much." Jeremy Pelt, Spencer's brother and jazz musician, penned a lengthy message to his sister via Instagram: "August 11, 2025 will forever be a reminder of the day that I lost a big part of myself. After many years, my big sister, Dr. Danielle Louise Spencer lost her battle with cancer." "Many of you knew her as 'Dee,' but she was more than a child actress. She was a friend, an auntie to my three children who adored her, she was a daughter- and in many ways, my mother's best friend, she was a veterinarian, she was someone who always remained positive even during her darkest days fighting this disease. And she was MY sister and protector." "My immediate family, of which there were only three of us had an unusual knack for always being connected even if we weren't always in contact with each other. Dani and I- our bond got stronger the older I (in particular) got. She's 11 years older than me. I used to relish our texts back and forth using unfiltered 'real' talk." "She positively LOVED Milo, Charlie and Amma and constantly dreamed of a time they'd all be visiting her and 'Mimi' (grandmother). The times they made it down south, she was always so encouraging. Always so uplifting. I'm rambling...I'm so fucking fucking gutted... I watched her take her last breath... I'm thankful for that." "I love you, forever." Haywood Nelson, Spencer's What's Happening!! co-star, wrote on Instagram: "Brilliance! It comes in a great many forms. We all have them and we all have this family's - Dr. Danielle Spencer (June 24, 1965 - August 11, 2025)." "Dr. Dee, our brilliant, loving, positive, pragmatic warrior, without fail, has finally found her release from the clutches of this world and a body. We celebrate Danielle Spencer and her contributions as we regret to inform her departure and transition from a long battle with cancer." "We have lost a daughter, sister, family member, What's Happening cast member, veterinarian animal rights proponent and healer, and cancer heroine. Our Shero. Danielle is loved. She will be missed in this form and forever embraced." What Happens Next Spencer is survived by her brother, Jeremy Pelt, and mother, Cheryl Pelt. At the time of writing, no public memorial or funeral plans have been announced.

Woman Tattoos 'Scannable' Red Bull Barcode on Her Forearm but Reveals It's Not Actually Her Favorite Drink (Exclusive)

NEED TO KNOW A Swiss woman got a Red Bull barcode tattooed on her forearm — and it works in retail locations across the country At the time, Dew was working retail and had to strategically place the tattoo so she wouldn't accidentally scan it while ringing up customers "I have A LOT of tattoo plans," she shares. "If I had the money, I would be covered all over"Dew, a 22-year-old Swiss woman, quickly went viral on TikTok when she shared a video of herself buying a Red Bull. But instead of scanning the can's barcode, Dew whipped out her upper forearm and scanned her tattoo instead — and sure enough, the sale went through. Now, she's opening up to PEOPLE about the tattoo's functionality and the wide range of opinions it seems to evoke. It started as a joke — Dew, whose hair is dyed purple and whose skin is already populated with tattoos, occasionally encountered rude people who dubbed her appearance as "emo" and asked if she had "barcodes," or scars on her arms. Dew wanted a funny and effective reply to those comments, and thus, she chose the Red Bull barcode. In February 2024, around the time she got the tattoo, Dew was working a retail job and often manned the checkout, she tells PEOPLE. She decided to get the tattoo close to the inside of her elbow, so she could scan it when she wanted but not have to worry about accidentally scanning it while working, she says. Contrary to popular belief, though, Red Bull isn't Dew's favorite caffeine source. "I like Red Bull a lot, [though] I do admit its not my favorite energy drink," she shares. "However, Red Bull is quite silly and I thought this tattoo is silly, so why not?" In terms of function, the bar code does work consistently, and is accepted at retail locations across Switzerland, she revealed in a TikTok following her viral video. Sometimes she has to pull or spread her skin out, but otherwise it's "pretty easily scannable," she says. Her family likes the tattoo, mostly because there's a worm that wraps around the barcode as a fun decoration. She says the worm is actually inspired by a "silly doodle" that her sister once made that she adapted to fit in with the tattoo. Her friends are supportive for the most part, while others see the choice as "a bit insane." In addition to the barcode, Dew also has a tattoo of a screaming alpaca, as well as a lemon with the inscription, "lemonade 100% lemon, 0% sugar, 0% ade, just Lemon." She also has a little "L" on her left thumb and an "R" on her right thumb, plus a Legend of Zelda design and a burning moth. "I have A LOT of tattoo plans," she shares. "If I had the money, I would be covered all over." Read the original article on People

Author Jenny Han talks directorial debut and whether she is Team Conrad or Team Jeremiah

Jenny Han, author of "The Summer I Turned Pretty" trilogy, has officially stepped into her director era. The credits to one episode of Prime Video's hottest summer shows read like a creative mic drop: "Directed by: Jenny Han. Teleplay by: Jenny Han. Created by: Jenny Han. Based on the novel by: Jenny Han. Executive Producer: Jenny Han." "It was really funny," Han says, reflecting on Episode 5 of Season 3, titled "Last Dance." "I think it was during post and we were all laughing. But you know what? You've got to take up space for the work that you do." 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' warns fandom to keep itself in check this summer For those who don't watch "The Summer I Turned Pretty" and have avoided the corners of TikTok besotted with Conrad or Jeremiah, the show is a coming-of-age romance that follows Isabel "Belly" Conklin to a summer beach home where she finds first love, heartbreak and self-discovery while caught in a love triangle with two brothers. Han wrote the trilogy published in 2009, 2010 and 2011 while listening to Taylor Swift's album "Fearless." And the megastar's marketing team, Taylor Nation, posts about the show annually on social media. The show has featured "False God," "The Way I Loved You," "This Love," "Last Kiss," "Hey Stephen," "Invisible String," "Sweet Nothing," "Delicate," "Snow on the Beach," "Bigger Than the Whole Sky," "Exile" and "You're Losing Me." Director's cut Clad in a pink and white tweed dress with silver-studded straps, the author says the Aug. 6 episode marked the first − and only − time she directed on the series. But when asked if she'll direct again, she replies, "I would love to." Han also writes the screenplays, produces and pops up in the occasional cameo. In Season 1, Han donned a red dress at the debutante ball. In Season 2, she bought wine at a gas station. As for this season, she teases: "I do have a cameo, except it's just my voice. I don't think anyone's going to figure this one out. I myself was like, 'Is that me?'" So why did she pick Episode 5 to direct? Well, because of the peaches. "The peaches scene was one that people had been waiting for the whole show to see," Han says of the sexually charged moment between Conrad and Belly at a roadside fruit stand. "I wanted to treat it really carefully," she says. The other reason is because fans finally get a glimpse into Conrad's mind. Actor Christopher Briney narrates the older brother's inner monologue. "We haven't really been able to fully understand what he's thinking until now," Han says. She hired a professional artist to help her storyboard the entire episode. "Even though I had written it and read it a million times, there was something new I was finding on the page every single time I looked at the script," she says. "New thoughts that I was having, like, 'Oh, maybe I'll do this or that.' And I think that made it feel very exciting and fresh for me, like its own sort of creative wellspring." But even meticulous planning couldn't predict when wildflowers would bloom. "With the peaches scene, we had to reschedule three times," she says. "They still hadn't bloomed yet, so we kept coming back and checking on them, and it was like a dirt patch. But finally at go time, they were blooming perfectly." Conrad or Jeremiah? How 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' books end Two blockbuster franchises Han, 44, is no stranger to storytelling success. She also wrote the wildly popular series "To All the Boys I've Loved Before," which spawned its own blockbuster Netflix adaptations. While none of Swift's songs appeared in the "To All the Boys" films, Han wrote a letter to the Eras Tour singer requesting to use a track for "The Summer I Turned Pretty." Swift has delivered year after year. "Her team is awesome," Han says. "We've been so lucky to have her music on the show every season. And that's the biggest gift of all. It's a gift to me as a fan, but it's also a gift to the original book readers and all the people who are fans of the show." Pretty timeless Han's writing remains the beating heart of the series, drawing in fans young and old. "People watch it with their grandpas, people watch it with their wives or their daughters," she says. "I've heard from guys who felt Conrad's anxiety really resonated with them. And also losing a parent I think is very universal." There's something indelible about how the series connects with millennial women, those who first read the books as teens and now watch them as adults. "The fact they're still here and they're still really resonating with the story is so special to me," Han says. How did Han think of Belly? One enduring mystery among fans is how the main character got her name. "I was a nanny at the time and the girl that I was babysitting for had a friend named Isabel, I think," Han says. "And I believe people called her Belly. They were really young when she had that nickname, and I thought it was very cute." Han says Belly's best friend, Taylor, is not named after Swift. Is Jenny Han writing a new novel? Amid the success, one lingering question remains: Is Han working on a new manuscript? "I would love to be able to sit down and write a new book," she says, acknowledging she hasn't written an unreleased novel. At least, not yet. "It's just a very different headspace to be in," she says, adding that her time and energy has been fully consumed by the drama at Cousins Beach. And if you're wondering what team Han is on − Jeremiah or Conrad − she's diplomatic. "I think all the characters are dear to me, so I really couldn't pick favorites," she says. "Team Belly, for sure."
