And Voltage looked on course to one better than his runners-up spot last year when he led the Bullet 3-2 in the final.
But Bunting hit a purple patch on the way to an 8-4 triumph.
Both finalists hailed the raucous Copenhagen crowd.
But fittingly, it was fans' favourite Bunting who came on stronger to land his second World Series crown of 2025.
The Bullet had beaten Jonny Clayton in the quarter-finals before overcoming Luke Littler's conqueror Nathan Aspinall in a thriller.
Meanwhile, Cross whitewashed Chris Dobey 6-0 before sinking last year's champion Gerwyn Price in the semis.

Tottenham 3-0 Burnley: What Parker said
Burnley lost 3-0 away to Tottenham in their opening Premier League fixture on Saturday and boss Scott Parker believes his team will need to fight against the 'ruthlessness of the Premier League' with 'desire and passion' this season. "We were in the game, we started tentatively. We edged into it in the first half and there was a threat. For 60 minutes we're in it," Parker told BBC Match of the Day "We missed a big chance at 1-0 and then that's the ruthlessness of the league that they score again. Overall a lot of positives and something to work on for us."On Kyle Walker: "He was brilliant today. His experience and know-how and quality that's why we brought him here and I thought he did well for us today."On more potential transfers: "I think it's something we're looking at - something we're trying to get in the market for and try to add a bit more depth to the squad. It's a difficult time of the year now and everyone's in the same position. Some real positives after a tough pre-season."On Richarlison's second goal: "Incredible finish. They're the fine margins and the quality of the Premier League teams. I said to the lads we missed a great chance at 1-0 then they put one in out of nowhere. Pleased with some things but disappointed to lose 3-0. Early stages for us."The pressure rises every time you stand in this position. We've got a big challenge this year but it's one we will fight with desire and passion to be here."

Nationals request release waivers on 1B Nathaniel Lowe
August 16 - The Washington Nationals requested unconditional release waivers on first baseman Nathaniel Lowe on Saturday after he was designated for assignment Thursday. Lowe was batting just .216 but was second on the Nationals with 68 RBIs and tied for second with 16 homers. He had 130 strikeouts in 440 at-bats and was just 3-for-33 (.091) over 11 games this month. Lowe was acquired from the Texas Rangers in the offseason for left-hander Robert Garcia. The 30-year-old Lowe spent four seasons (2021-24) with the Rangers and was a key contributor to their 2023 World Series championship team. He was a Silver Slugger winner in 2022 when he established career bests of 27 homers and a .302 batting average. Lowe also played two seasons (2019-20) for the Tampa Bay Rays. He has a .263 average with 105 homers and 397 RBIs in 805 career games. --Field Level Media
