Aga Khan IV to be buried in Aswan on Sunday

The Ismaili Imamat announced that late Prince Karim Al-Hussaini Aga Khan IV, who died on Tuesday in Lisbon after nearly seven decades as the spiritual leader of the global Ismaili Muslim community, will be buried in Egypt on Sunday.
The Ismaili Imamat said, in a statement on Thursday, 'Prince Karim Al-Hussaini Aga Khan IV will be buried in Aswan, southern Egypt, on Sunday, after a funeral ceremony which will be held at the Ismaili Center in the capital, Lisbon, on Saturday, in the presence of community leaders, members of the Portuguese government, and prominent foreign figures.'

Sole Survivor Pulled from Wreckage After Air India Crash Kills Over 290
Taarek Refaat A British national has emerged as the sole survivor of a devastating Air India crash that killed more than 290 people near Ahmedabad on Thursday. Vishwas Kumar Ramesh, 40, was found alive amid the wreckage after the Boeing 787 Dreamliner slammed into a crowded residential neighborhood minutes after takeoff. Ramesh, who had been visiting family in India, was seated in 11A and was returning to London when the plane crashed. 'We heard a loud noise 30 seconds after takeoff,' he told the Hindustan Times from his hospital bed. 'When I woke up, there were bodies all around me. I was scared, so I got up and ran.' Officials confirmed Ramesh suffered injuries to his face, chest, and feet but managed to escape the inferno that engulfed the aircraft. His brother, who was sitting in another row, is still missing. Ahmedabad police said the flight, bound for London Gatwick, was carrying 242 people when it crashed and exploded into flames, killing passengers and residents in the area. 'We have recovered 204 bodies so far,' said Police Commissioner J.S. Malik. 'Rescue operations are ongoing.' The crash site, located just beyond the airport perimeter, is densely populated. Dozens of homes were destroyed, and firefighters worked into the night to douse flames and recover victims. Officials reported that 169 Indians, 53 Britons, seven Portuguese nationals, and one Canadian were among those on board, including 11 children. At least 41 people were injured on the ground. The Indian Civil Aviation Authority said the plane issued a distress call shortly before vanishing from radar. A formal investigation is underway. Trump bans citizens of 12 countries from traveling to United States
Basant Ahmed US media said that President Donald Trump signed an executive order banning travel from several countries to the United States, including four Arab nations, citing security risks. CNN reported early Thursday morning that the ban completely restricts entry to citizens of 12 countries: Afghanistan, Burma, Chad, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen. Gaza: Israeli shelling kills 9 Palestinians
Basant Ahmed Nine Palestinians were killed, and others were injured on Tuesday as a result of the Israeli occupation's raids on several areas in the Gaza Strip. The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) quoted medical sources as saying that four martyrs were transferred to Nasser Medical Complex after being killed by Israeli aircraft in the Joura al-Lut, south of Khan Yunis. Three Palestinians were also killed and others were injured when an Israeli drone bombed a group of civilians in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip. 2 others were also killed when Israeli forces targeted the al-Zeitoun neighborhood east of Gaza City. Israeli forces also opened fire in the vicinity of Mount al-Surani, east of the al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City.
