Chilling security footage captures woman's desperate escape from Florida kidnapping attempt in parking lot
On June 29, state law enforcement arrested 31-year-old Theodore Michael Tundidor, who had been charged with kidnapping, robbery and grand-theft auto, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office (SJSO).
The sheriff's office said deputies were dispatched to a business at about 3:30 p.m. that day after a 911 caller reported a man was attempting to force a woman inside a vehicle in the parking lot.
Video released by the SJSO of the attempted abduction shows the man forcibly dragging the woman toward his gray pickup truck while holding her in a headlock.
Once at the truck, the man opens the door and attempts to shove the woman inside. The entire time, the woman is heard screaming for help until she ultimately gets away and flees.
The man is seen chasing after the woman on camera before it cuts off.
Police alleged that the man, later identified as Tundidor, committed a robbery inside the business before forcefully removing a female employee from the store.
"The victim fought her attacker and attracted the attention of a nearby citizen, who came to her aid and called SJSO as the suspect abandoned his kidnapping attempt and fled," the sheriff's office said.
State Fish and Wildlife Conservation (FWC) officers later located Tundidor driving recklessly near Marineland on the A1A. He allegedly fled, but was ultimately captured by FWC officers.
Along with charges from the sheriff's office, FWC charged Tundidor with driving under the influence and fleeing and eluding law enforcement.

Former UFC fighter Diego Sanchez arrested on two gun-related accounts in New Mexico
Former UFC fighter Diego Sanchez was arrested on two gun-related charges and is in custody in Albuquerque, New Mexico. According to an arrest record acquired by MMA Fighting, the 43-year-old was taken in at 12:01 a.m. and booked for shooting at or from a motor vehicle (no great bodily harm), a fourth-degree felony, and negligent use of a deadly weapon (discharge), a misdemeanor. Sanchez reportedly leaned out of a passenger side window and shot a firearm into the air. After police followed the vehicle and arrested Sanchez, who denied firing the gun, but he admitted that the firearm was in the car. The driver is not facing charges but told the authorities that Sanchez fired the gun. Sanchez was also laughing while being probed by the officers, according to MMA Fighting. Sanchez won Season 7 of The Ultimate Fighter reality show by earning a split decision over Clay Guida in 2009. He remained in the organization until 2020. He ended his MMA career on a loss against Kevin Lee in Eagle Fighting Championship and walked away with a 30-14 record. Sanchez tallied seven Fight of the Night bonuses in his UFC tenure. His fight against Guida was also inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2019. At the tail end of his career, Lopez worked with and had a fallout with Joshua Fabia, the founder of the infamous School of Self-Awareness. Fabia's bizarre training methods included chasing students around a cage with a knife and punching Sanchez on the head while hanging upside down. The two parted ways in 2021 when Sanchez paid Fabia $100,000 for his "freedom." The transaction was filmed and posted online. Following his arrest on Friday, Sanchez's representative, Ricky Kottenstette, told MMA Fighting that he has been struggling with substance abuse and went into rehabilitation on several occasions to seek treatment.

NEED TO KNOW A New York City man has been arrested on accusation of shooting and killing his estranged wife The alleged shooting happened midday on June 23 St. Albans, Queens Audwin Caines has been charged with second-degree murder, second-degree attempted murder, and other charges related to the shootingA New York City woman was shot and killed by her estranged husband last month while attempting to shield her adult daughter from the bullets, authorities alleged Friday while announcing charges against the man. Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said in a news release Friday that Audwin Caines had been arrested and charged with second-degree murder, second-degree attempted murder and two counts of illegally possessing a weapon. He was also charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, according to the Queens DA's Office. The charges stem from a midafternoon shooting on June 23 when Caines, 62, is alleged to have approached his estranged wife Chaneil Ramsay and her 21-year-old daughter while they were walking down the street. Earlier in the afternoon, investigators allege that Caines texted a photo to Ramsay showing the passenger side window of her car shattered with a brick. About two hours later, Caines allegedly approached Ramsay, 45, and her adult daughter while they were walking down the street, causing the mother and daughter to run away from Caines as he began to fire his weapon at them, officials said. The pair took cover behind a parked vehicle, but Ramsay stood up and rushed at Caines as he got closer, "in an effort to shield her daughter," the DA's office alleged in the release. Caines then opened fire at point blank range, striking Ramsay in the head and body. Want to keep up with the latest crime coverage?
