The Manchester United legend - whose wife will now be known as Lady Victoria Beckham - has been given the honour for services to sport and charity.
Victoria wrote on Instagram after the news: "You've always been my knight in shining armour, but now it's official.
"Sir @davidbeckham!!! What an honour, I couldn't be prouder of you. Your dedication to the things that matter most — your country, your work, your passion, and most of all, your family — has never wavered.
"The way you've touched so many lives over the years with kindness and humility speaks volumes about the man you are and continues to inspire us everyday.
"But above all else, I'm so, so proud to call you mine. I love you so much xxxx"
In 2003, he was given an OBE by the late Queen Elizabeth for services to football.
The former England captain has a long history of charitable work, which Honours Committee officials will have considered before deciding to bestow him with the honour.

Jadon Sancho linked with surprise Napoli switch

Napoli are reportedly interested in signing Manchester United's Jadon Sancho, according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio. The 25-year-old winger returned to Old Trafford after spending last season on loan at Chelsea. Sancho had been hoping to stay at Stamford Bridge, but Chelsea baulked at his salary demands. Advertisement Napoli are exploring the possibility of bringing the attacker to Serie A this summer. They have already signed Kevin De Bruyne from Manchester City and Sancho could be their next acquisition from the Premier League. Sancho could flourish under Conte Sancho had a solid campaign with Chelsea, bagging five goals and ten assists in 42 appearances in all competitions. He helped the club win the Europa Conference League title at the end of the season. Sancho is known for his creativity, quick feet and strong dribbling skills. He is comfortable on both flanks and can also play behind the striker when needed. Advertisement His flair and confidence in one-on-one situations make him a constant threat to defenders. Conte is a fan of Sancho's direct style of play and believes he can add another dimension to Napoli's attack. A move to Italy would offer the winger a fresh start and regular playing time under a manager who values his strengths. He remains under contract at United, but it is unclear whether he is part of the club's plans. Napoli hope to take advantage and add another top talent from the Premier League to their squad.

Chappell Roan's Smashes Return And Experience An Odd Coincidence

Chappell Roan has been relatively quiet over the past few months since releasing her most recent single, "The Giver" back in March. That track earned lofty debuts on rankings in a number of nations, as millions were excited to hear something new from the singer-songwriter, but it has largely disappeared. As fans wait to hear what the pop — and apparently country — musician is planning next, they're revisiting the tunes that made her a global superstar. Several of Roan's most popular songs reappear on tallies in the United Kingdom this week, as interest in her catalog is still incredibly strong, even if her latest cut didn't turn out to be a smash. This continued consumption holds, despite the fact that the recently-anointed Grammy winner doesn't seem to be making much of a promotional push at the moment. Roan sees five of her songs appear on at least one roster in the U.K. this frame, while several of them live on multiple lists simultaneously. "Good Luck, Babe!" is, as is often the case, one of her most successful tunes at the moment. The track is climbing on four different rankings and returns to the Official Singles Sales chart, becoming a bestseller once more. This time around, it reenters that all-genre list at No. 90. In the 56 weeks it has spent somewhere on the competitive tally, it has climbed as high as No. 2 — a position Roan has stalled at more than once. "Casual," one of the lesser-known singles from Roan's debut album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, also returns, but to a different list in the U.K. this week. It once again ranks among the 100 most-consumed tracks in the nation as it breaks back onto the Official Singles chart. Coincidentally, it joins "Good Luck, Babe!" in reentering a roster at No. 90. "Casual" has only spent eight weeks as one of the biggest tracks in the U.K. and has thus far never managed to crack the top 40, peaking at No. 44. Unlike "Good Luck, Babe!," however, "Casual" only sits on this one tally at the moment. Roan has only released one album so far, and it too manages to break back onto one tally. The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess gallops back onto the Official Album Downloads chart at No. 65. At the same time, it's climbing on three other lists as it performs well in terms of both sales and streaming activity. If the title can hold on for one more frame and rank as one of the most-downloaded titles again in the U.K., it will hit its first full year on the Official Album Downloads chart.

The Beatles Return To Multiple Charts As Fans Keep Buying And Streaming

The Beatles return to U.K. charts with 'Now and Then' and compilation album 1, as fans continue ... More streaming and purchasing the band's classic material. Still, it seems that British citizens will never stop consuming the music the Fab Four created, whether through hugely popular compilations or steady buying and streaming activity of individual tunes. The Beatles return to multiple rankings in the country this week, as both a hit single and a massively popular album manage to reappear. The Beatles claim just one popular track in the U.K. this week, as "Now and Then" becomes a bestseller once more. The tune, which was released in 2023 and marketed as the final release by The Beatles, reenters the Official Physical Singles chart at No. 50. "Now and Then"—which earned the group a new Grammy Award only months ago—never stays away from this tally for long. It has now spent 78 weeks somewhere on the list of the top-selling tracks on any physical format, including nearly two months at No. 1. The Beatles also appear with multiple charting albums at the moment, but only one had to return. 1, a compilation of the group's No. 1 hits, finds its way back to the Official Album Downloads chart at No. 93. Among all of the band's projects that performed well enough to appear on at least one list, 1 is the longest-charting, as it is now up to 238 weeks on the ranking of the most-downloaded titles in the country. 1 is also the only full-length by The Beatles this week to appear on just a single roster. The Beatles typically keep two related compilations on the charts, and both are still present at the moment. 1967–1970 and 1962–1966 take up space on both the Official Albums chart and Official Albums Streaming ranking. Only 1967–1970 manages to climb, as it ascends two spots on the streaming-only tally, while in every other instance, the projects — which contain the singles the band released during the years in the albums' titles — are falling. Interestingly, there's no crossover between the two connected compilations and 1, as it seems that both 1967–1970 and 1962–1966 perform especially well on platforms like Spotify, which may be keeping them going on the charts, while 1 is a bestseller.
