Next's €56 sandals hailed as 'stylish and comfy' by shoppers

Next shoppers have been singing the praises of an affordable pair of sandals, touting them as both comfy and stylish straight from the get-go. Many have chosen these over pricier alternatives and can't stop talking up the quality.
For just €56, customers can snap up the Chunky Buckled Sandals in a quartet of hues (black, bone white, metallic blue, and patent red) and sizes ranging from 3 to 9.
For those seeking a bit more room, wide fit options are available in sizes 5 to 8, ensuring extra comfort without sacrificing fashion sense.
A Next spokesperson commented on their website: "Get ready for summer, with these holiday-friendly sandals. Featuring a strappy faux leather upper with adjustable buckle fastenings, an open toe and a smooth synthetic footbed, finished with a chunky outsole."
The Chunky Buckled Sandals from Next have garnered a following, with numerous shoppers expressing their satisfaction online. One customer remarked: "Lovely, comfy and look great! Most importantly, no rubbing at all!", reports the Mirror. There are three different style options that shoppers can pick from (Image: Next)
Another shopper noted: " So comfy, soles are quite heavy but not too much, straps are really soft. The width runs slightly big."
A third chimed in: "So comfortable and trendy!".
One customer gushed: "Lovely chunky wide fitting sandals, suit my feet perfectly."
Another satisfied buyer chimed in: "They fit just right, very comfortable. No blisters yet which you can normally get with new sandals."
However, not every shopper was over the moon about their purchase. One voiced their disappointment: "Although I love the look of these sandals, I felt as I wore them for a few hours, the straps stretched and they started slipping down and off my heel. They also squeak as I walk. I wouldn't wear them if I had to walk any distance."
Another found them to be "uncomfortable and very clunky". Meanwhile, a third cautioned: "They look good but the practicality of wearing them means the back strap is constantly falling off. I had them on the tightest setting and it still happened."
Shoppers who are getting ready for the UK summer, or planning a holiday abroad, can find lots of deals online in Next's dedicated Holiday Shop. It includes all the essentials - from casual daytime outfits to stylish swimwear and classy evening dresses.

Next's €45 trendy tomato print shirt hailed 'ideal' loose summer fit

Fashion trends come and go in the snap of a finger, and this summer, we move away from the butter yellow trend and into tomato print. High street giant Next is also calling it one of the three "need-to-know" summer trends alongside Amalficore and brown tones. From tomato-embroidered clutches to salad-themed co-ords, the Tomato Graphic Long Sleeve 100% Cotton Relaxed Lightweight Shirt stands out from the crowd and has amassed a solid customer rating of 4.8 out of five. The fun print has given the subtle pinstripe shirt a twist, with a tomato and basil graphic on the front chest pocket and a bigger graphic at the back. Deemed a "must-have holiday piece," the long-sleeve shirt is available online for €49.50. The 100% cotton fabric helps keeping customers cool and comfortable and the breathable fabric is absorbent, which means it can help wick away sweat whether you're hiking up a Greek island or strolling at a food fest in Lisbon. Elsewhere at Oliver Bonas, they offer a Cream and green Striped Tomato Print Short-Sleeve Shirt, €66, which comes as a coordinated set with matching shorts. The print is subtle and dotted along the dark green stripes, with details like an open collar neckline and turn-up sleeves for a laid-back feel. Fancy wearing tomato print on a date? Nobody's Child has a lovely White Tomato Print Frill Top to offer, and it's currently on sale, reducing to €42. If shoppers put in code EXTRA15 at checkout, this brings the price further down to €35.70. Designed in a relaxed fit and with a classic shirt collar, the button-down top is something shoppers reach for time and time again in summer. Wear it with denim shorts and trainers for an easy daytime look, or throw it over swimsuits and use it as a beachwear cover-up. The back of the shirt has large tomato and basil graphics Social media users were over the moon with one saying: "Obsessed, this is my type of collection for sure." Another said it is serving "ultimate summer feeling". Customers who bought the shirt were also satisfied with their purchase. A five-star shopper said: "Nice and light. Great for the afternoon in or out of the wine bar or along the promenade with the girls day out." "Lovely lightweight material, super colours and motif. It is oversized and slightly longer than normal shirts but I think it could double up as a cover up over swimwear," a second shared with a four-star review but some said they would not consider buying the top because of the price as one said: "Next has upped the price a lot and I can find something cheaper elsewhere." But a customer disagreed and added: "The quality is superb and the colours are vibrant. Value for my money. I would recommend this as an extra for your summer wardrobe. It can be worn with many accessories and you will feel eyes on you as they admire your outfit." Another shared: "I bought it for my wife and she loves it. It's an ideal loose summer fit too."

RTE's Marie Crowe opens up about 'zen' fourth child as she shares adorable name

RTE sports presenter Marie Crowe has opened up about her 'zen' fourth baby. In March, Marie welcomed her fourth child, daughter Jessie with husband Billy Sheehan. The couple also have three sons: Timmy (13), Billy (11) and Davie (8). Speaking about her new baby, she said: "It's busy but we're used to having a busy life so it's fine. I went back to work a little bit earlier than I had anticipated because of the Women's Euros and I made a decision to work on them. 'My husband is a teacher, and he's off during the summer so it has worked out well. I'm loving the Women's Euros. 'I'm delighted to be given the opportunity to do something that I really wanted to do and that I have worked hard to get to do, so I will not be feeling bad about having to go to work because I chose to. 'I love showing the kids as well that it's okay to make decisions and go and do something that you really want to do." Four-month-old Jessie, she says, is an easy baby. "I always say that when I had the three boys together, it was like living in a tornado and then Jessie is so Zen. She's so good humoured and laughs all the time. She's brilliant,' she told the RTE Guide. Subscribe to our newsletter for the latest news from the Irish Mirror direct to your inbox: Sign up here.
