WATCH: Lion skydiving? The viral video that's got everyone talking– is it real?

Time of India14-05-2025

Social media has seen its fair share of
unbelievable moments
, but a lion diving out of an aircraft? That's the latest clip causing a stir across platforms. A video showing a lion mid-air during what appears to be a skydive has gone viral, collecting millions of views and sparking a flood of reactions.
The bizarre visuals have left the internet deeply divided: Is this a real stunt, or just another ultra-realistic AI creation?
The video, shared by Instagram page travelling.shillong, shows a lion seemingly skydiving with a human. The animal appears calm while free-falling, which is what raised eyebrows almost immediately. With over 2 million likes in under a week, the video has become a talking point across platforms– but not for reasons of admiration alone.
Several users were quick to point out that something didn't sit right. From the lion's still mane to the oddly consistent facial expressions, doubts began to surface. Many questioned how such a dangerous feat could be pulled off, and more importantly, why.
The video's realistic look has sparked a debate online, with some people sure it's AI-generated, while others are still unsure.
One user joked, 'Just one Q - How did you convince him,' while another wrote, 'Now, bro is really bored of ruling forests, he wants to own the sky.'

Another comment that gained traction said, 'Lion be like:- Niche Jane de fir btata hu.'
But humour aside, many expressed concern about the audience's inability to distinguish between real and artificial. 'The number of people who can't identify this as AI-generated is concerning,' wrote one user.
Even under the assumption that the video is digitally created, the content sparked a debate on how far creators are willing to go to get attention.
'Ridiculous things humans do to satisfy their souls! NOT COOL and unfair to the poor animal,' said a viewer.
Another added, 'At least give him a helmet, maybe he's unable to breathe.'
Concerns weren't just limited to the visuals. Some users raised the larger issue of ethics in viral content creation, especially when it involves wild animals, real or not.
As of now, there is no confirmation on whether the video is authentic or AI-generated. The

does not take responsibility for the video's authenticity.

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos on 'two biographical heroes' who influenced his business philosophy

Amazon founder and former CEO Jeff Bezos said that Thomas Edison and Walt Disney are his 'two biographical heroes' who influenced his entrepreneurial philosophy. In a 2001 interview, Bezos highlighted how Edison's inventive spirit and Disney's visionary leadership shaped the way he approached building Amazon into one of America's most influential tech companies. Bezos praised Edison as both a symbol and embodiment of innovation, admiring his role as a pioneer in invention. Stating that the American inventor is his biographical hero, Bezos said 'Edison is not only the symbol of that but the actual fact of that'. In contrast, he credited Disney for his ability to create a compelling vision and inspire large teams to bring that vision to life — a skill Bezos found crucial for scaling ambitious projects. He praised Disney's 'incredible capability to create a vision that he could get a large number of people to share'. He further noted that while Edison largely worked alone on his inventions, Disney's success came from organizing people around a shared dream — something Bezos sought to emulate in Amazon's growth and culture. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch vàng CFDs với sàn môi giới tin cậy IC Markets Tìm hiểu thêm Andy Jassy reveals Jeff Bezos' four traits that helped make Amazon a $1 trillion company In an interview, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy highlighted four key traits that set Bezos apart, calling him 'arguably the most unusual business leader of our era.' Gauri Khan-owned restaurant's head chef says fake paneer controversy helped business: Everything we provide is top-notch

Earlier this year, in April, Gauri Khan's Mumbai restaurant Torii landed in soup after a content creator claimed that the place served iodine-stained, dark paneer (cottage cheese) in their dishes. The restaurant had shut down the rumours, then. Now, in an interview with Screen, the restaurant's head chef Stefan Gadit has shared that the controversy had a reverse impact on the business, as it brought in more 'impact' to the place. (Also read: Gauri Khan's posh restaurant Torii reacts to 'fake paneer' found in their dish by YouTuber) During the interaction, the head chef said, "It makes an impact when we point fingers at something baseless. The quality, the ingredients, everything we provide is top-notch; we had nothing to worry about. We issued the statement so that people could know what is happening and how things are done. There is a lot of stuff going on with food chemistry and food science, it takes four years, just pouring something on something was just…don't get me wrong. He did that with his pure intentions, just wanted to check.' He went on to address whether the controversy affected the restaurant at all, and said, "It increased our business and I got more than 20-30 followers on Instagram, so that was a blessing in disguise, I would say.' YouTuber Sarthak Sachdeva later took down the video where he claimed 'fake paneer' was used in the restaurant. Torii had also responded to the now-deleted video in the comments. 'The iodine test reflects the presence of starch, not the authenticity of the paneer. As the dish contains soy-based ingredients, this reaction is expected. We stand by the purity of our paneer and the integrity of our ingredients at Torii,' read the comment. Gauri Khan's restaurant, Torii, opened last year on Valentine's Day. Sussanne Khan, Maheep Kapoor, Bhavana Pandey, Neelam Kothari and Seema Sajdeh had attended the launch.
