One of the offensive contributors for New York in this series has been left-handed hitting infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr., who recorded a hit and run scored on Tuesday before reaching base twice on Wednesday via two walks.
Unfortunately for he and the team, Chisholm exited early on Wednesday with an apparent injury.

This is the second straight night Chisholm has been lifted early with an injury. In the series opener it was neck tightness that caused his exit. There was early speculation among fans that this could be a related issue, but the Yankees have since announced it was unrelated.
"Yankees announce Jazz Chisholm Jr. left tonight's game with left groin tightness," Erik Boland of Newsday Sports wrote on X.
Speaking with reporters after Tuesday's game, Yankees manager Aaron Boone said he expected Chisholm to be back in the lineup on Wednesday. Chisholm said the same (via Greg Joyce of the New York Post).

This ended up being the case, with Chisholm starting at third base, but his night ended after just three plate appearances due to a separate injury. On the season, Chisholm is hitting .214 with a .773 OPS and nine home runs. The 27-year-old has also stolen 10 bases and driven in 24 runs for the first-place Yankees.
