‘The job isn't done' says coach as British and Irish Lions target a whitewash

And they want to dispatch Australia for a third consecutive weekend by matching the quality shown in the first half in Brisbane and the second 80 minutes at Melbourne Cricket Ground.
'The job isn't done in any shape or form. We've got a really motivated group that have set their stall out,' forwards coach John Dalziel said.
'There's only one way that we want this to end and that's to go unbeaten and to try and win 3-0. We don't want anything to derail it.
'We know it is going to be incredibly hard work and Australia showed that last week. They are a good side and they are going to be good again. They are going to be motivated playing here.
'We've got to find that energy and go again, getting that performance that we all want.
'There is still a performance in us. We've had 40 minutes in both of the Tests so we want to give our supporters and everyone watching at home a full 80 minutes and show what the Lions are about.'
Wing Tommy Freeman missed Friday's eve-of-match training run at Accor Stadium due to his overall workload for the tour, but Dalziel stressed there is no concern over his fitness.
Pulling the strings for the climax to the tour is Finn Russell, the Scotland fly-half who has forged an effective creative alliance alongside Ireland's Jamison Gibson-Park while also providing the generalship needed by his team.
'Finn's maturing all the time,' said Dalziel of his fellow Scot, who has developed a more rounded game since his early days as a maverick.
'A lot of players like him get criticism for not being able to play different styles. But here, where we are pulling four nations together, he has delivered a gameplan while also being himself. That's why he was picked and why he's world class.
'There have been the moments when he has been driving the team around the park but also the moments when he has seen and put others into space, which is outstanding.'

A report from Italy claims Lewis Hamilton holds a unilateral power thanks to the fine print with his Ferrari contract which could be the deciding factor in how long his stay with the Scuderia will be Lewis Hamilton has complete control over whether or not his Ferrari career will end after the 2026 season. That is according to a report in Italy which claims the Scuderia has no power to stop the British driver from extending his stay into the 2027 campaign, even if they were to decide to go in a different direction. It has been a tough adjustment for the seven-time Formula 1 champion since making the switch. He joined Ferrari in the hope of having a better chance of challenging for silverware than he feared he might get if he stuck with the Mercedes outfit he represented with distinction for more than a decade. But there have been few highlights so far in a Ferrari shirt. The Hungarian Grand Prix last time out was a particular low point, as he failed to score a point for the first time all year, finishing 12th after a poor qualifying, following which he declared himself "useless". Hamilton is sixth in the drivers' standings, just one place below team-mate Charles Leclerc but 42 points behind the Monegasque who has managed five Grand Prix podiums so far in 2025, while his British partner has yet to experience that since switching to Ferrari. He turns 41 in January and it is clear that Hamilton is in the twilight of his remarkable F1 career. As it stands, the Ferrari contract he signed expires in 2026, though it has long been understood that his £50million-per-year deal contains an option to extend that stay for another season beyond that. But that is not something that, according to the Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ferrari can trigger themselves. The newspaper claims Hamilton is the one who holds the unilateral power to decide whether or not he will remain in that seat in 2027. It is reported that the Brit was able to get such a clause inserted into his deal because of the commercial benefits his presence brings to the team and to Ferrari as a wider organisation. The company's stock price rocketed on the day the news broke that the F1 legend would be joining. Leclerc also has a long-term contract, signed last year, which is expected to keep him tied to Ferrari until 2029. That means the Scuderia has very little wiggle room over its driver line-up for the next three years at least, given the power Hamilton wields in regards to his own future. As for Hamilton's long-term successor, Ferrari believe they already have a star of the future on the books. Oliver Bearman is being somewhat groomed as a Ferrari driver of the future, being retained as an affiliated racer despite being signed to customer team Haas. But the decision over when that might happen, it seems, rests with Hamilton. Though the seven-time champion is very self-aware and is unlikely to prolong his Ferrari career if he does come to the conclusion that he is no longer at the peak of his powers.

I think a big thing was replacing Trent because a lot of chances and goals came from that side and I think (Jeremie) Frimpong has got the attributes to go and fill that side." Frimpong, like Wirtz, joined from Leverkusen and fills the void left by Trent Alexander-Arnold. The Dutch full-back has been hugely creative and Liverpool will hope he's able to be as effective in the final third with their former right-back crucial to their attacking output. Rooney's predictions for the season have also seen him earmark Rio Ngumoha as the best young player. The teenager showed glimpses of quality during pre-season with Slot admitting: "I see him train, I see him play, and the impact he has when he trains and plays is really promising." Rooney has also backed former side Manchester United to return to Champions League action despite finishing a lowly 15th last term. It was an all-time low in the Premier League era but more than £200m has been spent on the likes of Benjamin Sesko and their former player believes they could be a signing or two from making a huge leap. He said: "As I said I still think they need one or two more signings, but Amorim, I can see what he's doing and I think it is looking better and I think they will sneak into the top five."
