M&S shoppers race to buy £35 ‘slimming' butter yellow summer dress that ‘hides lumps and bumps' and ‘doesn't crease'
MARKS & SPENCER is finally back in action, and fashion fans have been rushing to pick up the retailer's new £35 summer dress.
The textured midi dress (which comes in the colour of the season) has been praised by shoppers for its flattering fit that "hides lumps and bumps".
M&S Textured V-Neck Midi Column Dress, £35
Featuring a fitted silhouette with breathable textured material and airy short sleeves, the butter yellow number is perfect for summer.
The M&S V-Neck Column Dress is finished with a knot design at the front, giving a stylish twist on a staple piece.
It comes in butter yellow and black colourways, with regular, petite and tall sizes available — although several sizes have already sold out.
The wearable style could be dressed up or down for most occasions, and it would look great teamed with sandals and sunglasses for a comfortable holiday outfit.
As the textured design gives a dressy feel, it would also pair well with heels and chunky gold jewellery for a summer evening look.
The high-street dress has received rave reviews from Marks & Spencer shoppers, with a 4.6-out-of-5 star rating.
One customer wrote: "Excellent dress that skims the body to create a slimming effect.
The textured material is good quality and it washes well, no ironing required as it always looks as good as new.
It's true to size as well, more colours and styles please."
Another added: "I purchased the yellow colour in store, and liked it that much that I ordered the black when it came back in stock as it's so flattering.
M&S Textured V-Neck Midi Column Dress, £35
It's so curve enhancing and it's not too short, plus no lumps and bumps are shown.
The material is thin but soft, and it isn't see through. It's so great for summer."
Marks & Spencer gave an update earlier on its cyber attack this week, confirming that the retailer is accepting orders again for the first time since the attack in April.
Shoppers are now able to order online again, but the retailer has warned that deliveries may take up to 10 days.
If you don't know where to begin with your online order, Fashion Editor Abby McHale has handpicked the M&S pieces worth adding to your basket before they sell out.
M&S' £35 midi dress isn't the only butter yellow piece causing a stir, as Sainsbury's shoppers have been racing to pick up a similar version from the supermarket.
The £28 summer dress has been praised for hiding mum tum, with its relaxed cut and flattering puffed sleeves.
It also has a stylish gingham print that's perfect for summer.

The 65-year-old Loose Women star mentioned that she made it after a 'very long' Pilates session this week, showcasing the dish on Instagram. "Quick, lunch for one," she wrote. "Did Pilates this morning with @siobhanklloyd after a VERY long time so I thought I'd better follow up with a healthy lunch!" If you're eager to try Ruth's recipe, here are the eight essential ingredients she used. One portion Lettuce Chopped cucumber Avocado slices M&S Seafood Sauce Cooked prawns A small volume of milk A sprinkle of black pepper A sprinkle of paprika Article continues below To kickstart her recipe, Ruth first chopped her ingredients off-camera before throwing the lettuce, chopped cucumber and lettuce into a dish. She then placed her cooked prawns in a separate bowl before coating them in a generous spoonful of the M&S Seafood sauce. Once thoroughly mixed together, she popped the prawns on top of the salad in her serving dish. However, she then realised that a little more dressing was needed. In light of this, she blended more of the seafood sauce with a tiny splash of milk in another separate bowl. She said this helped to loosen the dressing, which she subsequently drizzled over the salad. As a final touch, paprika and black pepper were sprinkled on top. Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz snap a smiling selfie during museum visit after reuniting for their fourth movie
Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz enjoyed time together at a museum this week while filming on set in Spain. The two actors, who frequently collaborated together on major blockbuster movies in the past, visited the Museo Reina Sofía while filming their fourth movie together in Madrid. On Friday, the museum and Depp shared a joint Instagram post with photos of the acting duo enjoying the artwork. The stylish pair posed for a smiling selfie together and also wrapped their arms around each other's shoulders as they stood in front of a black-and-white mural. The caption read: 'Thanks for joining us @johnnydepp and @penelopecruzoficial, until next time!' Depp and Cruz's Pirates of the Caribbean franchise costar Orlando Bloom left a comment to show his support as he left two red heart emojis on the post — just shortly after he teased the possibility of 'getting the band together' for a new movie. Depp, 62, and Cruz, 51, are currently filming Day Drinker, their upcoming action thriller. The forthcoming film marks their fourth collaboration after they worked together on Blow in 2001, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides in 2011 and Murder on the Orient Express in 2017. Depp and Cruz's forthcoming movie Day Drinker is directed by Marc Webb and written by Zach Dean. The upcoming film follows an enigmatic stranger forms an unlikely bond with a grieving bartender who lost her lover, their lives intertwining in unexpected ways. Depp plays the 'mysterious' guest on board a private yacht who crosses paths with the bartender, who is played by Madelyn Cline. The synopsis reads as follows: 'They soon find themselves entangled with a criminal figure (Cruz) and connected in ways no one saw coming.' The cast also includes Manu Ríos, Arón Piper, Juan Diego Botto, Anika Boyle and many more. The film marks Depp's return to Hollywood as it's his first role in film from a major distributor since he starred in 2018's Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. Ever since the end of his highly publicized, 2022 defamation trial with his ex-wife Amber Heard, who currently lives in Madrid, he has made a slow return to the film industry. He starred in the French film Jeanne du Barry that opened the 2023 Cannes Film Festival and directed the movie Modi: Three Days on the Wing of Madness. At the movie's premiere last September at the San Sebastian FIlm Festival, Cruz reunited with Depp. She previously defended him and even submitted declarations in court on behalf of Depp during his trial. 'Many years have passed and I have not only made three movies with him, but I also count on him as a great friend,' she wrote about her longtime collaborator.
