Ruth Langsford shares 'healthy' prawn lunch recipe

The Loose Women star, 65, whipped up the dish after a 'very long' Pilates session this week - the recipe is very straight-forward
Ruth Langsford has shared a quick salad recipe with fans that's ideal for a simple lunch. The 65-year-old Loose Women star mentioned that she made it after a 'very long' Pilates session this week, showcasing the dish on Instagram.
"Quick, lunch for one," she wrote. "Did Pilates this morning with @siobhanklloyd after a VERY long time so I thought I'd better follow up with a healthy lunch!"

If you're eager to try Ruth's recipe, here are the eight essential ingredients she used.

One portion
Lettuce
Chopped cucumber
Avocado slices
M&S Seafood Sauce
Cooked prawns
A small volume of milk
A sprinkle of black pepper
A sprinkle of paprika

To kickstart her recipe, Ruth first chopped her ingredients off-camera before throwing the lettuce, chopped cucumber and lettuce into a dish. She then placed her cooked prawns in a separate bowl before coating them in a generous spoonful of the M&S Seafood sauce.
Once thoroughly mixed together, she popped the prawns on top of the salad in her serving dish. However, she then realised that a little more dressing was needed.
In light of this, she blended more of the seafood sauce with a tiny splash of milk in another separate bowl. She said this helped to loosen the dressing, which she subsequently drizzled over the salad.

As a final touch, paprika and black pepper were sprinkled on top. Ruth added: "Yes...my battery-operated pepper mill has a light!!!"
The TV star's recipe was quickly showered by comments from fans, with many complementing her straight-forward but delicious-seeming recipe. One person wrote: "Love this Ruth. Looks delicious and healthy."
Another person added: "Looks lovely Ruth . Great tasty lunch," while someone else said: "I need that now please."

The M&S Beauty Bag 2025 products ranked from best to worst

There's four full-sized goodies and seven travel-sized minis, which I have ranked, from best to worst - or really, my favourites to least favourites. It was a tricky task, as they were all pretty good. Top of the list is the Estee Lauder Double Wear Zero-Smudge Lengthening Mascara. Who doesn't need a new black mascara for their holiday, or just to get through the summer? It's a great product and one I'd happily buy again. The This Works Body Smoothing wash is another real treat, and I loved its scent of geranium and orange. Smoothed on before the shower, it's a shortcut to silky-soft skin and a great way to start the day. @uktoday_ @what's inside the M&S beauty bag for summer 2025? It's on sale now, with £210 worth of products for £35. ♬ Inspirational - neozilla While sometimes the mini products in beauty bags and boxes can feel a bit sad, the mini Tangle Teaser is the perfect size for a handbag, and has already made its home in mine. I loved the two new perfumes - both light and summery - and the Ren Evercalm Barrier Support Advanced SPF50 and Estee Lauder power creme are perfect for layering under holiday make-up. The Arkive Good Habit Hybrid Oil, Dr PawPaw Original Balm and Color Wow Dream Coat Supernatural Spray are all good introductions to their brands, although probably wouldn't be products I'd necessarily choose - and that's the great thing about beauty bags and boxes - there's something for everyone. (Image: M&S) Is it worth buying the M&S Beauty Bag 2025? Yes, I'd say so. I wouldn't pay £210 for it, but I'd happily pay £35. The only disappointment for me was the Bloom and Blossom body lotion - one of the biggest items by volume. Sitting alongside the fabulous fragrances, it didn't smell summery. In fact, it didn't smell much of anything at all, and wasn't as softening as I'd hoped. Body lotions have to be really special to be worth the effort, and I'm not sure this one is. Also, I did miss there being a Nuxe or L'Occitane treat, as those have been my favourites in previous bags and boxes, but it's always good to ring the changes. The M&S Beauty Bag 2025 - what's inside? This year, the brand has gone all out with a selection of cult classic buys - here's my pick, from best to worst: Estee Lauder Double Wear Zero-Smudge Lengthening Mascara, 6ml This Works Perfect Body Smoothing Wash, 200ml Tangle Teezer Original Mini Paradise Green Brush M&S Discover Sweet Frangipani, 30ml Floral Street Electric Rhubarb Fragrance, 10ml Estee Lauder Revitalising Supreme+ Youth Power Crème, 15ml Ren Evercalm Barrier Support Advanced SPF50, 25ml Arkive The Good Habit Hybrid Oil, 50ml Dr PawPaw Original Balm, 10ml Color Wow Dream Coat Supernatural Spray, 50ml Bloom & Blossom Mission Moisture Nourishing Body Cream, 200ml Recommended reading: It's perfect for anyone who wants to sample some new brands or stock up on minis for travel. The Beauty Bag 2025 is on sale now but stocks are limited - so be quick. Following its cyber attack last month, M&S paused online orders, but they have now started online orders again and stores are open.

Tyson Fury won't send any of his children to school after age of 11

Tyson Fury and wife Paris have seven children together and have different opinions on their education after the pair were brought up differently Tyson Fury and his wife Paris are very traditional when it comes to their children's education. The 'Gypsy King' and his wife Paris, who have been together since their teens, have been criticised for the way they parent their kids, Venezuela, Prince John, Prince Tyson II, Valencia Amber, Prince Adonis Amaziah, Athena Amour and baby Prince Rico in the past, with Paris, 35, admitting she's often "stared at" when they are out in Morecambe. ‌ Last year, Paris, revealed her eldest two children will not be returning to formal education. Venezuela was taken out of school at the age of 11, and Prince John James, 13, recently joined his sister as they undertake their studies from the Fury family's mansion in Morecambe. ‌ Paris has faced some stick over the years, with people writing on her Instagram page: 'Surely they are missing out on the most valuable part of going to school, making new friends and interacting with lots of different people…' However, appearing on Loose Women, the busy mum defended the decision, by revealing it is tradition for travellers to educate their kids at home. "We finish school at primary age, which is the traditional traveller way," Paris explained. "We've just brought the tradition into the 21st century. Venezuela wanted to leave school and all her friends were leaving. Her tutor is going to keep her up to date with all of her tests. She will also be having piano lessons." However, despite the Traveller tradition, Tyson wanted his sons to continue with their education. The couple's differing views on schooling surfaced during their 2020 documentary. "Me and Tyson have talked about the kids going to school," said Paris. "Tyson wants the boys to go into education but I don't; it's just not what we've ever done. I was brought up as a Traveller and I want my kids to be brought up as Travellers. They will probably leave school at 11 and they'll be educated at home from then. "The boys will take a wife and make their family and the girls will take a husband and make their family. Until they take a husband or wife they won't be leaving the home and I wouldn't want them to." Fury said in response: "You say it's something we've never done but I'm a precedent setter, am I not? Now I've set these laws and precedents, you watch how many will follow. The parents of these kids, I call them dream killers. Just because something went wrong in their life you can't pawn it off on your kids." Former two-time heavyweight champion now has a lot of time on his hands after announcing his retirement from boxing earlier this year. He recently took to social media to claim son Prince John James had "joined the family business", indicating he may follow his famous father into the fight game.

Hottest fashion trends of 2025 Fabulous' Fashion Editor Clemmie Fieldsend shares the biggest trends from the high street. The East/West Bag Baguette bags have had a good run, after returning from the 1990s' shoulders of Sarah Jessica Parker to modern-day fashion icons, like Hailey Bieber. In 2025, the East/West bag is a similar but elongated shape and has long, thin straps that are easy to throw over your shoulder. They've been on runway models' arms at nearly ever designer show - think Burberry, Givenchy and Bottega Veneta - and are hitting the high street now, too. Powder pink Bright fuchsia pink had its day after the release of Barbie in 2023 and now the more polished and expensive-looking pale shade is taking over for 2025. Pantone may say that it's the year of Mocha Mousse, but the catwalks say otherwise! From Prada to Erdem, the subtle look was all over the spring/summer catwalks, worn head-to-toe or on its own. If the sugary shade is too girly for you, then look to sharp suiting for a androgynous take on the colour. The shell jacket The '80s classic is back, but with a sleek and minimal new twist for 2025. We all know we're likely to see rain for most of spring, so your practical coat of choice should be a cagoule jacket. Depop revealed one of its big trend predictions for this year is retro sportswear, with surges already seen in '80s windbreakers'. Seen everywhere from the stylish streets of Copenhagen to the Miu Miu catwalk, now mums who have an emergency raincoat crumpled underneath their pushchair are very much in fashion! The turn-up jeans While the shape of jeans remains the same for this year and barrel-legs will still be everywhere, the way we're styling them is different. This season, transform your wide-leg, baggy denims into turn-ups. For this look, size doesn't matter, so while deep turn-ups are a hit from jean trend-leaders Citizens of Humanity, a slight fold is still just as good - but only as it's just one single fold. Peep-toe shoe Get your pedicures booked in sharpish, as this season your toes are the main event. After a long hiatus, the peep-toe has been welcomed back into the fashion fold, with brands like Hermes, Miu Miu and Tory Burch showing plain and embellished footwear in this style. From mules to pumps and clogs (yes, clogs will be around too!), there are lots of different styles that are set to sweep the high street. Sheer blouses See-through looks have always lived on the catwalk, but have rarely filtered into everyday life - until now. Designers Ralph Lauren and Tom Ford loved sheer looks on their S/S '25 catwalks and M&S even had sellout success with its black sheer pencil skirt last season. Expect to see more sheer looks lining supermarket aisles and high street shops in the form of skirts, tops and frocks. "I love the fresh green colour option." A second person said: "Perfect for those warm sunny holiday vibes "Great price and quality." A third added: "Very comfortable and lovely colour. "Good price and they're easy to wear due to the elasticated waist."
