Sub-Divisional Police Officer (Barhi) Ajit Kumal Vimal said, except Sambhu Yadav arrested on Monday, no further arrest could be made as yet, but police raids were on to apprehend them.
Meanwhile, the victim said the accused person had demanded Rs one lakh after assaulting her.
The official said the woman has been given protection and adequate police force deployed around her home.
Police are conducting raids to arrest six other accused named in the FIR. They are all absconding, police said.
The BDO warned that if they do not surrender soon, a legal proceedings will be initiated against them.

CHENNAI: The Tiruvallur district police on Saturday identified the accused in the abduction and rape of a 10-year-old girl near Gummidipoondi in the district and said that he has been remanded to judicial custody. The Arambakkam police has arrested Kale Bishwakarma alias Raju Biswakarma (35) of Tinsukia in Assam in the case, police sources said on Saturday. He had been taken into custody on Friday from Sullurpeta railway station in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh, a few km from the inter-state border with Tamil Nadu. According to sources, Bishwakarma worked at a local eatery in the locality. He was identified by the cops as he was wearing the same clothes seen in the CCTV footage collected by them in relation to the crime. The case pertains to the alleged abduction and rape of the girl on July 12 when she was returning to her grandmother's home after school near Gummidipoondi. The accused allegedly gagged and took her to a deserted place where she was raped. Three special teams each headed by a DSP had been formed under the direct supervision of the Tiruvallur superintendent of police (SP). The cops had also announced a reward of Rs 5 lakh for information on the suspect.

Muzaffarnagar(UP), Jul 26 (PTI) Two minor girls, who are cousins, were allegedly gang-raped after being abducted at gunpoint from their home in the Budhana area, officials said on Saturday. A case was registered against the two accused, identified as Pradeep and Gaurav, under sections of the BNS and the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act, Circle Officer (CO)Gajendra Pal Singh said, adding that both men are currently absconding and two police teams have been formed to arrest them. The incident came to light when the minors, aged 15 and 16, returned home and informed their family members about the alleged rape. According to the complaint lodged by the victims' family, Pradeep and Gaurav, also from the same village, arrived on a motorcycle and abducted the girls at gunpoint on Friday. The sisters were taken to another location where the alleged rape occurred. The minors have been sent for medical examination, the police said.
